    It came out really clean!
    I noticed the blue mask didn't mask everything cleanly.
    So, the shellac allowed for the acrylic paint to be peeled off where the mask didn't work?
    It peels off easily?

    • @LaserGarage
      @LaserGarage  6 месяцев назад

      The masking works great but some areas tear up every once in a while. Especially with V bits.
      Yes, the shellac #1 helps the masking stick #2 protects the wood just in case the masking fails. Paint bleed can be cleaned up with a baby wipe or a little water on a rag.

      @@LaserGarage I was using up cut bits. I changed to down cut and it made a huge difference.

    Consider me a new subscriber. Why? I love the patience you use during your projects. BACKGROUND: I enjoy the Carbide Tutorials but sometimes they go so fast and gloss over essential steps, and they don't always do what you do, which is to give the "WHY" behind certain techniques. QUESTION: May I ask if you have any videos on Chamfering and how to use layers in Carbide Create? I promise you, I have watched several of their videos over and over and they seem to be missing some needed information. And yes, I realize I may be slower than the average bear.

      Thank you very much, I really appreciate that. I try my best to explain things thoroughly yet briefly.
      My address sign tutorial has a chamfer tool path and I explain it a little. Sorry though, I don't have anything showing layers. To be honest I never use them. I've been really focused on laser lately but I'll be working on new Shapeoko videos soon. Thanks for all the support.

    Great work again! Look at the Jenny v bits. They are downcut and will fix the tear out on the oramask.

      Yes! I’ve been meaning to get my hands on some of those. Thanks for the tip. I guess
      I just haven’t pulled the trigger because the touch up method I use works so well for me.

    OMG!! I’m the ldiot!! I literally watched your first 5 CNC projects video a few months ago whenever I first got my Shapeoko & was (& still have been, until now) curious as why in the H£II you used "stock bottom" whenever you did the starts ⭐️ on the flag & every time I use my V Bit for any job(s) I’ve only been going down about .250-.375 MAX! You literally just explained something that I’ve been curious about since Iast October!! LoL 😂
    UNREAL!! Me = 🤔🙄🤦‍♂️

    I'd love to get down there and make something. But my 5 pro died this morning, and I'm waiting on carbide to respond to my support email. I'm hoping they replace the hole controller unit. I think it took a poo on me. O, and by the way, diaper whips are awesome for cleaning up the paint and glue.

      Yes that’s a great tip! Sucks about your cnc, I’ve had good luck with support the limited times I’ve needed it. I’m sure they’ll answer you tomorrow morning.

      @keithclark8030 Yes. They sent me a controller. It's works fine now. Still Other little things about the software that needs workand there really minor. But they said they were getting that addressed in the next update.
