I have a 2002 V6, you need to have that tool in order to screw the piston back. You can rent one at autozone for free, also I would recommend opening the bleeder valve it makes it a bit easier.
Ive replaced rear pads on my 02GT twice over 12 years, ive never had to mess wit bleeder bolt? Even when i done front pads n rotors, Is this just another way to skin the same cat?
I have a 2000 Mustang. I didn't see anything on this video about the emergency brake. I know it connects to the rear brakes. Is there anything special you need for that?
Was the parking brake cable not in the way and didn't you have to remove that to get the caliper out? Unless i't different on those year GT's, that's the issue I ran into.
When pressing the caliper piston back into the caliper you say "We'll turn the handle to the left" but then you turn it right. I have read that newer fords need to have the piston turned to the left, not the right as you are showing. Can you correct my confusion?
i have a 2007 v6 mustang with the same rear caliper, the one you need to screw in. i dont have the special tool so i used channel locks and the piston wont go down, what should i do, people have told me to uncap the spot where you put the brak fluid in while im doing it to relieve pressure, should i be doing this?
awesome video keep it up guys.. thanks
Very good video, thanks

What if u don't have the little anti rattle clips?

Why do you clamp the caliper hose? Does that make it so that you don't have to monitor the Master Cylinder level?
so using channel locks is a no go?i was thinking as long as it turns it should go down, am i wrong?

no lx in 04, do you mean v6?
Im working on a 98 GT, as soon as you remove the guide bolts, slide the caliper off you gan get around that pesky parking brake cable
No reason to bleed brakes

Yes!
Should be using silicone paste on the caliper pins, not anti-seize.
Never, do you use a hose clamp on a brake line.
Adhesive shims are a bad idea. The adhesive is known to sometimes fail, causing the shims to slip and cut into the rotor.
Clean your new rotors before you put it on the hub, not after. It's much easier to clean the back.
The point made at 9:31 needs to be stressed. Missing this will make the job nearly impossible.
