I have history of TB 14 years back.
From few days i noticed blood in cough.
I hv consulted doctor and done the CT scan. Report is
limited study without benefit of iv contrast. area of consolidation with a tiny area of cavitation within is noted in apical segment of right upper lobe. few surrounding fibrotic bands noted with traction bronchiectasis. few centrilobular nodules noted in bilateral upper lobes measuring 2-3mm. a cyst measuring 6mm noted in posterior segment of right upper lobe

CT report ---Evidence of fibrosis with mild tractional bronchiectasis is seen in superior segment of right lower lobe. A small nodule with faint calcification is also seen in right lower lobe. Rest of the parenchyma of both lungs appear normal. kya hua sir please reply

sir, can you please guide me; I'm 18 years old and I was having pain in the left side of my chest so I went to the doctor and they told me that I'm suffering from TB but all my reports were negative. I have 0 symptoms no cough no loss in appetite but despite weight loss, they removed 1.5 liters of pleural fluid which was also negative. Still, I'm taking TB medicine(Akurit-4) and some others and I feel better so, I'm confused that there is no detection and symptoms but the medicine is working.

Hello doc. Can you please answer this question because I keep on overthinking because of my Past Ptb and yes I finish 6mos of treatment and undergi sputum and it turns negative. After 2mos I go to my Private Pulmonologist because I had a cough again and I feel like my left side of lung is like theres producing sound when I'm inhale he said it was only a scar when he look on my xray and then he gave only antibiotic for me for only 7days then I got cured. After how many months I got Xray again because I kept on overthink then it says there Considered Ptb with Cavitary formation in the right. So I went to my Private Pulmonologist again he look my two xrays then he said It was only a scars. I dont know but theres a sound in my left chest when Im inhaling and It was so uncomfortable. Please understand residual lesions or scars in lungs are common post TB treatment.
Its like imagine i was hurt on my right elbow years ago, wound healed but the scar remained. Now this usually doesnt cause any problem to majority patients !!! So relax.
We advice patients to undergo a Ct scan after 6-9 months of treatment to assess status of scars.
Also A PFT (lung function) test can be done to assess any impact of past infection on airways which can lead to some noisy breathing.
Also since you said noise in breathing is from one side only then its all the more important to do above mentioned tests so as to confirm any narrowing in airways on one side.
A Pulmonologist should be able to address your concerns easily. Since you are far off, this is the best we could suggest.

Namaste vanakkam doctor...! My mother (53) in her 20's affected by TB and cured it in siddha way and before 5 years re-construction of our home occurs and my mom used to clean without mask..earlier the incident which i had mentioned here she never had any cough or cold conditions though that may occur that wouldn't last for more than 2 weeks but after the incident which I mentioned she found to have cough for more than 2 weeks and being tested found that she Is having TB scars And once when she coughed with blood doctor said that we couldn't do anything nd she has to suffer from it for her life time which left us in a hurry to change the doctor being the cough unchanged we again do followed siddha...now at 2023 after those years while continnuing siddha treatment she suffered from fever with the CRP rate of 67 as a consequence of joint pain in shoulder got admitted in hospital though she had fever and cough for long time I could confirm that there is no weight loss her average weight varies from 36-37 and now at 35.550..

BCG has nothing to do with TB disease.
Whether or not she has TB or not one can tell only after adequate tests and examination

I have got all the symptoms of fibrosis but sweat test was negative so it was not cystic fibrosis. Moreover I have got symptoms of brochaiectasis and Hemoptysis too. Kabhi kabhi khoon ata hai to tranenexic acid lene se kam ho jata hai. Right side lung dard ho ta hai khasne par. Jo ghaaon lung me hua hai use treatment kar sakte hai kya.

Xray needs to be seen.
Prominent bronchovascular markings mostly is a radiological explanation which usually just signifies long standing cough. In majority cases this is not clinically significant. But without seeing xray and detailed case history cannot be commented with confidence

Yoga as a science overall which includes breathing work (prana exervises), Asanas (physical exercises),dhyaan (meditation), bhojan (satvic diet) .... all inclusively is definitely helpful in overall well being and shud be practised.
However if someone believes that with above they will not need medicines that is a myth and also Post TB sequale cannot be reversed with Yoga or any medicines.
So one needs a holistic approach of medicines + diet + yoga

Mantoux test is not for diagnosis of TB. Its obsolete now.
