For those who have an issue of the ending why not turn on your DPP games and go surf and wait to that part or just find it else where on RUclips. The song I downloaded had that cut off, my apologies.
I remember i found a friends copy of silver back then, didnt know what the fuck things did, and when i went surfing, i literally stayed for HOURS listening to that song eating gummy bears.
I think the genuis with the music of old games lies within the limited technical possibilities. You weren't able to squeeze an orchestra into the GameBoy (yes, despite its size), so the music was more simple, the melody thus stronger and easier to hum and became more memorable in return.
@meishhappeh They made it so that until you unlock the national dex, you will only encounter the new pokemon. Why? Because every gen, people griped at how padded the new dex was with old pokemon from previous games. Once you unlock the national dex, the others will appear, and you can use the entralink to bring even more rare ones into the game. And if you want a Pikachu you can always just trade one from DPPtHgSs.
My favourite was always R/B/Y theme...the tune just seemed to fit with the idea of surfing along the water without a care in the world. Though G/S/C's theme is also great in that respect too!
@ponernoobSC Well, the only real issue would come in the Hoenn region, since My pokemon are only mid 60s by the end of Kanto and Johto in G/S/C. They could just kick up the power of Hoenn again, and for Sinnoh, have a bit of a level reset. That, or as you said, raise the level cap. That's the only option if they want to include Black and White too.

R/B/Y: Amazing, just pure epicness G/S/C: Very good but I don't feel like i'm surfing like i did with the original R/S/E: Simply a masterpiece. If you have never heard of Pokemon and listened to this, you can just picture: ''WATER''. Pure genius right here. Even better, the painfully long ocean routes in Hoenn mean you get to listen to it a lot :) FR/LG: A mediocre remix of the original. It's OK, but it would only suit a calm environment, not the raging sea in FR/LG
Yes, RSE has a great theme to it. All of the surf themes are pretty awesome! Fr LG they changed the surf theme, but if you have to do a remake I guess make the theme a cleaned up version of the RBY version. I also like DP's version. Okay I can't decide...they are all good!!!!
1. RBY: Can't say anything bad about it, since it's one of the best. 2. GSC: Very good, and that's all I can say. 3. RSE: By far my favorite. A bit repetitive, but still awesome in my opinion. 4. FrLg: Too slow. Doesn't do the originals justice . . . 5. DPPt: Rather interesting compared to the others, but I didn't even notice the song until late in the game. x_x

@elijahhandley DP/P/Pt: Another calm theme, although unlike many others, I quite like it. It is best played when you are at the lakes in my opinion. I would prefer the R/S/E one when you reach seas or oceans though OVERALL: Pure genius. Long live Nintendo guys :-D
In order for me is: 1)GSC this gen had the best music this tune brings back trying to get lugia 2)RSE has the most layers and is very catchy but repetitive 3)RBY the ultimate original theme catchy but basic 4)FRLG basically the original but without the nostalgia 5)DPPt could've been made so much better
hahaha. you are right, they are all waltzes. that means they are in a simple triple meter. or 3/4. which means 3 quarter notes per measure. i still think the GSC song is the best.

The franchise would have to consider the expansion of regions, and the name "Rainbow Version" would become obsolete/pointless since it would not include regions introduced into future regions (unless there is some sort of updating/DLC or something of that sort). Bah I'm almost 20 and commenting on a Pokemon video xD Oh I miss the days when I would speedrun through Gold, Silver, and Crystal...
the first theme just goes with the idea.the second is a little off, third also goes with the not a care in the world idea. the 4th is okaay, and dpp is like the first, just goes with the flow. literraly. good vid.
I know what you mean. It's painfully slow. : ( You'd think it would only get faster with time... but I guess not... Maybe they did that because there aren't many long stretches of water in D/P, and it would be too quick to get through them if the surfing was faster (RSE had huge ocean areas, so it has a fast surf speed, but DP has none of those)

Gold/Silver is, in my opinion, the epitome of surfing harmonics.
Surfing themes are just about the only songs in Pokemon that aren't in 4/4 time... these are 3/4.
Kanto - Acceptable
Johtoh - AWESOME!
Hoenn - Not so good...
Sinnoh - Unnaceptable!
