- I'm uploading this to celebrate all the videos I've uploaded so far! You guys have been awesome and really help to keep me going.
This is the music that plays when you encounter Suicune/Raikou/Entei. I had the most trouble with Raikou. Видеоклипы
I swear, I think every kid had a heart attack when they heard this song in combination with seeing the Legendary Dog sprite.
i can relate.....*Here music in encounter* OMG the WTF did i do..What is that!!!
So true haha!
Even now I was just looking for this theme... I found myself panicking as the music started. I didn't catch them just to hear this song in my GB XD
I put on this video, waiting for it to load, all the sudden...
HOLY FRICK ENTEI????
tlz791 It's a beast.
The first time I heard this music in Crystal, I distinctly remember going into cardiac arrest.
Let me be your first reply after 7 years

I'm Gold and this is my region Johto. I work here with my professor and my rival, Big Ass. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing i've learned after 21 years - You never know WHAT LEGENDARY is gonna come through that grass.
I wish I could like this but I'm on phone. Best comment.
Jenny / Junko no u
Ah, so I'm not the only one who named my rival that way.
American chopper version:
I'm having a hard time catching this legendary
Use your master ball gold!
I USED IT ALREADY!
WHY DID YOU USE YOUR MASTERBALL?!?!
I WANTED TO CATCH A SHINY GYARADOS
IT'S ALWAYS SHINY YOU DUMBASS, YOU WASTED YOUR ONLY MASTERBALL
This, is Pokémon Gold, Silver & Crystal.
Suicune really started something in the series...
-first legendary to have it own theme
-first legendary to be involved in the game's plotline
WiiParty2010 Started with Suicune tho
@jigger jones it was in postgame lmao
After 5 years i have come to remind you that hooh and lugia are very much involved lol
@@pumpkingreg6673 in the remakes? sure. but in the original games not really.
@@ItsNep i mean ho oh was mostly involved due to the entire storyline with the beasts, not really lugia until ss but it was somewhat involved
lets be honest. there was at least one time you sat there staring at one of these pokemon just to listen to the music.
Master Ball.
Deoxy theme

I was literally just thinking this! I remember encountering Suicune by accident when I first got Crystal and just staring at it with my heart racing literally asking myself what is that and what the hell do I do now??? Ok it’s a Pokémon, I’ll weaken it and catch it! *runs away*..... “WHAT????????”
Even in 8-bit this theme still slaps all these years later
Indeed! The heart gold soul soul silver or even re mixed version for the portals in sun and moon was wild
People who didn't play this game as a kid will never understand the horror of hearing this music for the first time
True, I never play this game as a kid so I will never understand
Yeah I know this comment was made 10 years ago
Im scarried in this moment
Running into a legendary Pokémon underleveled is scary in and of itself. The beasts are all lv 40 by default, only Raikou and Entei will flee if you make a move, unless if you have a Gengar with Mean Look and Hypnosis.
Either way, that music alone is jumpscare personified.
I legit thought my game crapped out on me when I heard it. My trigger happy butt was ready to reset till I seen Entei appears then realized it was actually just playing different music.
I feel so old...
Slowbro lv. 43 vs Entei lv. 40
Run.
Can't scape!
Entei fled.
Huh?
why would you run out?
Cause I'm leveling before Claire...
Okay that's fine :)
u cant run pokemon with higher speed or special traits i think
throw a ball at that son bitch
I remember the first time I heard this theme and I almost threw my gameboy
oilerfan871 yeah it scares a little
That chill on your spine when that theme started.
The chills from suicune
The shocks from Raikou
The heat of your consoles from entei
Haunter Mean Look Quick!

Yeah I my best bet was quick claw spore bulbasaur.
Then I realised on my 4th okay through... Give the masterball to someone and clone it with the box trick boxes. One for everyone!
But Haunter is shadow type, he's immune to Normal type (roar)
Amine Brouk He's immune to normal attacks, yes, but not status moves.
David North AH Ok Thank you!
Found Suicune as a child and new it was special straight away. Hit it once, it fled, told my brothers that I saw this weird mamoth like pokemon and they didn't believe me :( THIS WAS THE ONE
LilHaseProductions yknow, there is something called pokedex xD
LilHaseProductions Suicune didn't flee in the originals. If you mean child, as in hgss, it didn't flee there either.
Yes he did, yes he 100000% did
It flees in Gold and Silver, where it's a roaming Legendary just like Raikou and Entei. It's only in Crystal that you get the story-mandated stationary battle.
Sukiinpink Suicune also flees in the post game of FRLG, if you chose Charmander as your starter.
This song is the reason Eusine has chased Suicune for eternity.
This music ALWAYS scared the shit out of me and the first second got my heart pumping. It's a real jolt, much like seeing a Beast of this size in the Grass ahead of you. The high pitch at the start almost resembles an alarm or siren, really adding to the feeling of danger, and it instantly draws your attention and full focus. Even listening to it now, I feel the same jolt of anxiety as I did when I was a kid, no matter how much I rewind to 0:00
It's that moment when the barking dog hops over the fence kinda terror 😅
@@ChannelZeiko lol
0:00 ALWAYS made me jump.
Wild Raikou appeared....trainer used masterball....wild Raikou was caught....rename captured raikou? ...Raikou was added to The poked....wild raikou Fled......
wtf?
Wild Raikou appeared!
Go Crobat!
Crobat! Use your mean lo- (Raikou fled)
.3.
Logic.
I'll never forget this one time I was with some family and we were out of town, staying at my great uncle's house. I brought Pokemon Crystal because I knew I'd get bored. The day we were leaving,I decided to play while everyone was packing. So I walk through fields, not even really paying attention, and I hear this music. I think to myself "That sounds a little strange." I look at the screen and see Entei and I'm like "Shit!" I tried to remain calm while going through excitement and panic. My Feraligatr managed to land a Surf before it got away. So yea not a really great ending, but encountering it without even trying is one of my favorite childhood moments.
this music is so underrated! the music is so fast paced and intense for a roaming legendary. This is the kind of music that should be played during a final boss or Pokemon champion. easily one of my favorite legendary themes. its a shame that the remix in hg and ss aren't as badass as the original, at least in my opinion.
i agree they arent as epic , but im glad the games exist
Carnoraptor 40
Suicune was sort of a 'final' boss. In Crystal that is.
This track was practically MADE for 8-bit technology. It doesn't sound nearly as good from any other medium. That's how much work and dedication the music team put into this track. Indicative of how well they knew how use their tools; crafting the tracks to literal perfection for the respective platform.
Check out all three hgss themes combined or just raikou suicune together
The raikou theme would like to have a word with you
Still gives me goosebumps to this day.
Raikou and Suicune: ROAR GO AWAY DAMN IT WE DON'T WANT TO BE CAUGHT!!!!!!!
Entei: WHY LET'S HAVE A STARING CONTEST THEN!!!!!!
5 seconds later
Entei: THIS IS LAME *runs away*
Your profile pic was enough on its own for me to give you a like.
I was playing Crystal, and I had only just gotten to the scene where the three Legendaries run away, and on the first route I go to, this starts playing on the first encounter. Wow.
it spantom
I always thought this theme should get more recognition because this was the first legendary theme for Pokemon (Not counting Mewtwo's theme in Pokemon Stadium)
It does :) Play ORAS and go catch the dogs :D
Yep :D they kept THIS theme in it. No changes or remixes of it in ORAS.
AquaUmbreon Yeah i was surprised when i first heard this in Omega Ruby and from there i just keep listening to it rather than trying to catch one of them like i would listen to it for such a while before i start capturing them
wesker714 I was like "here comes horrible HG and SS music" and I heard this and almost died. By the way I'm 10
Fun fact the version used in Oras and usum isn't actually this version it's the GB sounds version from heartgold soulsilver.
This music would always make my heart stop when it played unexpected while just derping around XD
So this theme is in ORAS.
Hell. Fuckin'. yeah.
Just this second heard it. Absolute classic.
The theme of pants shittery when you're like 5 years old and this starts up.
It's like your game cartridge is about to show you something demonic but it's just these guys.
Except when you're a child, your imagination has already run away with you because if the alarming random music startup doesn't sound for brown trousers time, then the way these guys looked was monstrous enough to make it happen. And they looked way more menacing as a kid than they do as an adult.
At least for me.
I remember the first time I played Crystal, and when I this theme came up on my way to Ollivine I thought my gave was broken.
To my knowledge this is the first time we had a different encounter music for a specific set of Pokemon, a mainstay in later games.
I had the same feeling,I was heading south climbing down the mountain from Blackthorn to New Bark and Entei appeared...Thought something went wrong with the Gameboy, but when I saw Entei I knew there is some special epic sh*t going on!
Right what i was thinking
Hey was it raikou or entei
I found raikou on my way to olivine aswell
Kanto is the only exception
*walks in grassy area*
*this theme plays* Oh shi~!
*Wild Raikou appears*
*Gengar used Mean Look*
YOU CAN'T ESCAPE NOW, RAIKOU!
*used Ultraball but Raikou broke free*
*Raikou used Roar and Gengar got scared and fled*
FFFFUUUUUU Stop being so coward, Gengar!!!
Dunno if that'll matter now, but use repetitively taunt after mean look, that stucks them for good.
Eliphas the Inheritor Taunt don't exist in Gen 2 though. Only starting Gen 3.
amyvitality66 Ah alright, I actually did that for the remakes. Now I realize how frustrating that should have been in gen 2 o_O
You should've put him to sleep with hypnosis.
And because of a stupid glitch, that guy’s gone forever
Am I crazy if I put these pokemon themes on iPod to go to the GYM ?
I see what you did there...>:)
One of the most advanced songs on the Game Boy Color.
Such adrenaline... such NOSTALGIA!
*explodes*
That epic moment when I finally got Raikou down to 1HP, sleeping and thought I'd have him easy with my supply of 50 poke balls....
PC Box is full...
DAYYYYYYYYMMMMMMMMMM
That awkward moment when you realize that happened prior to Gen 3...
+Misti Penguin-Hem OUCH...
IAmNotAFunguy still happens in gen 6... had it happen on a shiny...
oh noo! never happened to me. i guess it would suck lol
Even after you think you got their asses with a mean look..
They..
Fucking...
Roar.
always -_-
+Lord Glory 2nd gen = no abilites = pain...
+Lord Glory Spore and Confuse Ray my friend.
Raikou hurt itself in its confusion.
Raikou fainted.
I threw the ultra ball raikou

Me As a Little kid: M-MOM! MY HEART IS STOPPING HELP!
ikr, this stuff is dope xD
Mother: YES! Now I can catch Suicune!
I remember that when I first played pokemon it was on my cousins gen 2 game. In a single day I caught him a shiny machop and then Entei with a single pokeball.
The best part is 0:43-1:13
in all my years of gaming, i can say that this music playing out of nowhere after searching forever is one of the most satisfying things ever
Raikou is so underrated compared to the other two, still waiting for it to get it's own movie.
It kinda did? Theres the legend of thunder anime special.
The music never scared me.
However, it did make me freak out ("OMG LEGENDARY!!!")
And then it flees -_-
Ikr, I was playing hg and ss, I was just loading around then, wild legendary! I thought it was rare (I forgot there was a map, it was my first time returning to Pokemon) so I went "OMFG U-UHHH GO P-PIDGEY! (Flees)......RLY?!"
+Le Lenny Lover that happened to me too in ss, i saw an entei and a had a mini-heart attack.
typhlosion uses fire spin and entei flees
me: i thought entei was strong ;-;
After spending hours of trying to track these dogs down and hearing this as a kid, would make my heart rate fly! And then it runs away two seconds later...
Same for me, I almost had a heart attack the first time!
nonefour i guess so. I never really thought about it because I was 7 at the time I first played this. They were just always referred to me as dogs.
nonefour well in pokemon it's considered a dog :)
nonefour Entei's a lion. Suicune's a cheetah.
nonefour Suicune is a cheetah and Entei a Lion and Raikou is a saber tooth tiger
I am so glad I got to experience this amazing game as a kid 😊 Crystal holds so many memories for me
*walks in a patch of grass looking for a normal pokemon*
0:00
*OH SHI-*
The fact that hgss split this theme for each member of the beasts with the soft melody for suicune, the bass and percution for entei and the guitar and speed for raikou
While the three keeping the ritmic and epicness of the original theme
My favourite part will forever be the low growling notes on the duh duh, duh duh, duh duh part. Sucks that the remakes kinda lost that part with the change to the string sounding stuff
Whiteytheripper you should here ORAS’s version. I would say that one is waaaaay better quality wise.
@@lilyowo4986 nah the gb sounds tracks lose part of their feel with higher sample rates. ORAS should've used the Crystal rip in classic GBA soundfont rather than virtual midi recreation
Totally agree they lost the bottom of the sound in the remakes
I remember monotonously training in some grass and I looked away from my gameboy screen for a few seconds, only to hear this and have adrenaline gush through me as I looked back at my screen wide-eyed and awake
Which beast did you encounter?
@@ResurrectedElvenMonk Entei!
I swear just seeing these guys, even 15 years later, still makes my adrenaline pump! Not only did you have to CHASE them around, but you also had to weaken them just enough to be able to capture them and fast enough before they'd FLEE.
I remember now, I CAUGHT RAIKOAH IN A FUCKING POKEBALL
Crystal White i was literally about to post the same thing!!! i did that when i was like 10 i think i lost my shit lol only ball i had in my inventory at the time
+Crystal White I caught zapdos in a great ball in firered.
So? Chuggaaconroy caught Zapdos and Suicune in Poké Balls. Zapdos after all 29 Ultra Balls failed, and Suicune after one of his 4 Ultra Balls failed, he threw a Poké Ball, just for the lulz.
[Looking for random wild Pokemon]
*Legendary music plays*
"Oh shit, it's on now!"
Aww yes...I loved watching them run away.
Mean Look helps a lot.
+Broedy Bessette Yea, But I wasn't smart enough to make a move slot for it 😫
+Satoshi Yoshiko ;-;
I remember getting a quick ball from Kirt ( I think thats his name) on my first visit to that town. Did the stuff there and left and ran into Suicune in the first patch of grass. I thought about it and went for it with the quick ball....one wiggle......two wiggle......THREE wiggles............................................................................................................................................click...................OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
LOL
Even after all these years i STILL get goosebumps with this song, I can't remember my first time with it but I am damm sure i was traumatized.
Will never forget that moment when I was younger. Leaving Ecruteak to the South through the grass, and then BAM! *Wild Entei appeared!* The first 3 seconds nearly made me drop my lime game boy color.
I know this theme comes back, but the first 3 seconds of this still makes my soul starled & shake as an adult. Something about 8-Bit music has that power that can never be fully recreated from our younger days.
Quite possibly one of the best boss themes in Pokemon's history. That moment when Suicune jumps at you, as if to say...
"Your time has come, young trainer... If you win, I will join you in your quest! NOW PROVE YOURSELF TO ME!"
Suicune ran away!
Player: You coward...
I'm referring to Crystal Version, where Suicune doesn't run, but rather takes you on, giving you a chance to catch him.
He doesn't run away in Crystal Version?
No, he plays a major role, much like Xerneas and Yveltal in X/Y.
Oh cool!
So basically he's like:
I AM A MAJOR CHARACTER. YOUR TIME HAS COME!
While Raikou and Entei are like:
I'll just run away! *giggle*
this music almost drop my GBA at the same time my heart beats fast @o@
Coco Adel gba?
@@wheatleythebrick2276 The legendary beasts was in FRLG
@@wheatleythebrick2276 Pokémon crystal came out like a month before the Gba so makes sense
Is Suicune biting his tail?
indeed it is, young trainer
+Kevin R. Serrano He's just clenching his teeth. Looks weird though.
QuintusKing I'm actually perfectly aware that the tail ends behind it's right(my left) fore leg and those "teeth" is actually the end of it's tail. I'm just joking with the biting his tail thing.
+Kevin R. Serrano I can not unsee it.
damn you,I cant unsee it
I honestly can't tell if Suicune is biting down on one of its body tassel things, or if it's just baring its teeth.
The tassel is behind its head.
0:46 is metal as fuck and I love it.
J. Read lol
True
Most metal is usually drop D or D standard but it's hard to tell in 8 bit lol
I don't know. I'm not that metal lol. Even though I was just listening to pantera not too long ago
1st reaction to this:
*going in the grass*
*this song comes on*
*O* sees Raikou*
:Ο *out of breath*
OHMAAAGAAAAD RAIKOUUUUUUUUUUUU *jumping while screaming from excitement*
*Wild Raikou fled!*
Ah, my Raikou... In HeartGold I had chosen Chikorita. I had an ungodly hard time on Bugsy, and had barely come out with a win on Whitney, so... I decided to catch Raikou. And I did, before beating Morty. Then, before Mohagony town, I went and Picked up Entei. My Raikou is currently level 72. I remember the joy as I tossed the UltraBall from Goldenrod's huge store on the sleeping, weak Raikou. Those three shakes were the best moment on that game :D
***** Yeah!
@@megmoore8681 meanwhile I can’t get either to show up after 2 hours of using repels, yes I’m using sub lvl 40 Pokémon
Thanks, for uploading the video.
It was at this point in my life when I first discovered, and learned to absolutely HATE the concept of roaming legendaries.
Why?
Why?

0:44 why does this part slap for no reason
I remember once i was at my friends house they were playing to new gen games and all that stuff and me, i was on my GBA SP playing Crystal, tracking down Entei ,since i managed to bring him low hp and that i never found Raikou.
I walk on the grass this music starts a smile appears on my face. The screens goes black and then ...
A wild RAIKOU appeared ! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I definitely remember thinking the game must be broken upon hearing this the first time and encountering Raikou in the wild.
For the first legendary Pokemon encounter theme wildly different from the standard one, they knocked it out of the park.
this is AWESOME!! My childhood was fantastic =)
Walking around some random route in Johto when these dogs jump scare you
Wild Raikou appeared.
Go! Croba…
*Raikou fled*
loved this game! I found it yesterday, and it brought back soo many memories!
This theme makes these Beast sound so majestic and independent
the feels that this song brings up...i was so excited i almost dropped my GBC...
I love the minor third transposition throughout that implies a struggle between a relative major/minor pair. Great use of leitmotif.
I remember getting goosebumps whenever the music started playing!
One of Pokemon's all time hardest tracks.
*Wild Entei appears* FUCK YEAH!
-uses Mean Look-
>:D
-throws Ultra Ball-
*Entei broke free!*
*Wild Entei fled*
Me: RAEG FACE
You know when you heard this, shit got real.
I never hear this whole song!
It's awesome!
When I first heard this song in pokemon crystal as a little kid and I saw Raikou, I almost had a panic attack because of how scared I was. Amazing moment in life
This is begging to be remastered in a piano solo.... perhaps with a violin for accented background.
An epic theme only spoilt by the utter disgrace that is Raikou's gen 2 sprite.
***** c'mon that was the first time colors were added properly to a Pokemon game....There was limitations at the time.
I love that sprite...only problem with it was that the mane on raikou was orange instead of purple
Raikou looks the best he ever did in Crystal (including all future games). But yeah, nobody can argue that the Gold & Silver sprites weren't garbage.
the crystal sprite looks good tho
Took me an hour, but I just learned how to play this on violin. Epic. Thank you!!
The most epic Pokemon theme ever, nondebatable. They shoul've also played this when you encounter Ho-Oh or Lugia.
Pokemon Crystal > all games of pokemon
Wild Entei attacked!
Player used Ultra Ball!
Wiggle
Pip
Oh no! The Pokemon broke free!
Wild Entei fled!

I get a little teary eyed when listening to old pokemon themes...
It's good that they put this music in crystal when you encountered them because in gold and silver when i came across them i never had the right pokemon
Entei really felt like a king when I encountered him.. god the memories
Don't know about anyone else, but it always gave me lion king vibes.
And till this day don't know how to pronounce Suicuine properly.
It was always a mixture of "Saikun" or "Suikune" (I'm not a native English speaker.)
Does anybody know?? Help me out of my miseryyyyy, please!
Woah. My life has changed.
Thanks!

Arcanine should be at the center of this Triangle. Its "The Legendary Pokemon" Came before the Legendary dogs. its the first Legendary Dog of Kanto, not Johto. But ok I still see it as a legendary.
I don't really see what's scary about this song... :/
+The_Pokemon_Warrior I think it's more of the shock factor of the intro of this track, when you're expecting the normal wild Pokemon battle theme.
Oh, true :P
+DestinyCrystal it isn't. just think about it for a second. whoever listens this for the first time gets surprised by the music itself, then seconds later puts their eyes on a creature that they've never seen before. that's the emotion they're talking about.
Scary is not the right word for this, but it can frighten and make you jump, because of the high-pitched, noisy intro. It can be a startling pain in the ears, when playing at night with earphones on. XD
good music, great stuff..
Fun Fact: This is the first Legendary Pokémon battle theme in the series.
This is the most intense music I've ever heard from a GBC :D
I still remember being West of Goldenrod, some three or so hours later after meeting the beasts for the first.
The music starting up like it did immediately threw me off and I about three my Gameboy in sheer panic. But even then, soon as it actually got going, I could hear a metal rendition of it in my head and the fight was on.
Still slaps to this day, even in its 8-bit glory.
This morning I was training some of my lower level pokemon and the first music that started was this and I had the volume up all the way and It scared the crap out of me
Who remembers thinking there game broke as your Anxiety just took over as you suddenly encounter one of these legendary beasts
