It is always a great feeling when I hear a rendition of a main theme that was originally composed in 8-bit, that the series has stuck with for decades. The same goes for Zelda too, but my favorite is Fire Emblem. You can never be sure where they will use the Fire Emblem main theme in each game, only that they will definitely use it somewhere. Two times they have even held it all the way to the credits, and made it into a real cathartic moment when it finally played.

Eyo we need some more love for USUM's theme in here, it's absolutely stunning. Straight out of a symphonic performance. The epic drums and the choir? Excellent. When the piano and violin part kicks in, holy moly. And the leitmotif of Ultra Necrozma near the end? *chef's kiss*
CyberDasherXD gen 5 is pretty good but I feel like HGSS is the peak. Literally no other main series games has as much content: 2 entire regions with 16 gym leaders and super boss, Pokéwalker (which also opens a facility in which you can fight ai controlled versions of your friend's team), customizable Safari zone, Pokéathlon, a ton of legendary events, spiky ear pichu, and 5 post game battle facilities (seriously its stupid how we haven't had a battle frontier in more than a decade now), and Pokémon following you. Gen 5 is good but I got way more play time out of HGSS. However if we aren't limiting to main series then Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is hands down the best Pokémon game ever made.

Dude this brings back major Holiday time nostalgia when my parents got me my first ever (non-emulated) pokemon game: Pokemon X, and having booted up that title screen with Xerneas looking all majestic and shit. Being genuinely excited to pick out my first starter pokemon and beginning a new adventure :))😔❤❤
gotta admit, Gen V is peak. No other intro are as epic as Unova's march. Every intro after it feels like Gen I all over again, like how every Power Rangers intro after RPM is just another Go Go Power Rangers.
