Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the progression Pokemon has taken as a franchise. We went from 8 bit pixilated (awesome) music and a little more than a hundred pokemon to some pretty good shit and remakes of the older themes to over 700 pokemon! Thats crazy bananas dude! When i was little, i would have never expected Pokemon to just fucking skyrocket ans i am glad i was here for the ride!
I feel like Blue's Theme will forever stay the BEST Champion theme there is, it's like everything you would expect from the *last battle* of the story , its energetic and full of hype while it still fits the character of blue... just a heck of a masterpiece hands down .
The change from 2nd to 3rd Gen is always so staggering to me, although I think the Gen 1 remakes are still my favorites in the series, including the AMAZING Champion theme from those games. Great job as always Pokeli!

My favorite champion is Sun, because of all the shit he's seen and he's still got that emotionless sneer on his face Tho Lance and Red are right behind because SS is like my favorite game aside from SM Hau was also really great, so ye there's that Happy Holidays btw hope it's grand!

Every time I see Diantha, I get reminded of how much 6th gen felt like a waste of potential. Like X and Y, Diantha didn't have much going on beyond the surface and never got any follow up. People can criticize USUM's existence and say ORAS was lacking, but X and Y is where I believe GameFreak truly gave up. I like the games, but it was truly all flash and no substance, even for this series. Many have said it's because XY was GameFreak's first 3D game so they went simple and there was never any follow up because of the 20th anniversary. I hope that's not true because with the amount of pressure GameFreak's getting regarding the Switch game, we're liable to get another XY situation where the game is lacking. And expectations aside, Pokemon has now grown over the last 2 decades to be on a similar level as Mario and Zelda. They don't have to go all BotW on us, but they shouldn't be going all XY on us either.
There was lots of things cut from XY including story elements that would have made the games 10x better than now but didn't make it because the game were rushed. So what they really need to do for the next game is take their time and not rush it.
I feel like if they add a "Challenge Mode" (similar to BW2, only well, harder) so that the more experienced people (like me) will face a much harder challenge, if they were to have story telling along the side of Gen 5, and maybe be like Gen 5 and Gen 1 too in the sense that majority of Pokemon is completely new to make people (including experienced players) have to learn everything, from stats to typings and abilities will make the future main stream game much more enjoyable.
Warney Disner I wouldn't say the series is running on fumes and everyone is excited for switch pokemon cause it's first time on home console, just cause xy weren't the best doesn't mean this won't be and sun and moon I thought were great
To me, Gen 6 isn't a let down. In the time they had to make a full transition to 3D, it is frankly amazing what they did. Everything in the region feels nice, the new type was well balanced for the most part. The map is good. Most Pokémon designs are excelent (heck, Greninja, Pyroar, Tyrantrum, Pangoro, Noivern are top notch, just to name a few). I feel like their mistake was never taking their time to do a Pokémon Z. Better balanced gyms and E4, maybe a different order, and a different champion (something like Champion Sycamore), new Megas and better used of the areas that felt somewhat empty (specially the post game). That in turn would have given them time to do a proper job with Gen 7. Alola has a good feel and a handful of good designs, and the plot is somewhat heart warming, but the handholding is real, and the games only last 50-70 hours because everything moves slow and there's a lot of back and forth. If they had a Pokémon Z with the Zygarde plot, SM could have come out as just USUM. Straight to the totem stickers, and have the different outcomes be version exclusive (Lillie or Gladion going to Kanto, Lusamine being or not good in the end, Champion Hau or Champion Kukui, a better end game with both Ultraspace and working with Looker) I love all gens equally but Alola is the one that feels the most like wasted potential to me. Kalos doesn't feel like it wasted potential, it feels like it was given up on, which is a lot sadder.

Because, if I (and multiple people too) won the pokemon league, I wouldn't go sit down on the throne straight away, I would record myself in the hall of fame.

He was an asshole because apparently you could catch Lunala near Iki Town before the Pokemon League (I don't know, I've heard) and I decided not to catch Necrozma on Lakanika(?) Mountain. I got to his Noivern and it punished my team.
Well without necrozma he is mediocre,but with her....You destroy Hau.With other champions even with team full of legendaries it was a challenge(not a big,but still)
You should fuse all the champion themes. I would LOVE to see that. Like an ultimate Champion theme. Also my fav champion themes are FireRed/LeafGreen Blue, Cynthia's, Alder's, Iris' and Hau's
I haven't finished Ultra Sun & Moon yet, (too busy with Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade) so this was my first time seeing Hau's champion battle. I'm a little salty that Lillie isn't champion, but wow, that battle theme!

Ranking the Champions IMO 1: Lance - Love his theme, and has more substance than Red 2: Diantha - She has a Gardevoir, and a theme that really captivates me 3: Blue - His theme from Black/White? Amazing 4: Cynthia - Probably one of the more attractive Champions 5: Steven - The only Champion who I didn't figure was Champion until his fight 6: Red - His aesthetic in HG/SS was awesome 7: All the others - They didn't reel me in. Also, I have yet to play B/W, B2/W2, S/M and US/UM, although I have White ordered as of two days ago
On Pokémon Showdown, I see Ultra Necrozma regularly and didn't really have a counter to it. *That is, until I looked in the UU tier and saw Blissey!* I don't like Chansey because it's OU and because "Knock Off-ers" are common.
Distortion Darkrai *cough* *cough* Yveltal *cough* *cough* Also, Blissey/Chansey can only tank special sets. Physical sets completely destroy them. It's not like Ultra Necrozma is a problem to deal with, not in Ubers certainly.
TheLunarTrioOfTheGalaxy the decidueye is not intended for Chansey, or Blissey. It was meant for Ultra Necrozma. (Which is still a dumb idea since Ultra Necrozma will one hit it anyway due to Decidueye being so slow.)
I really do think the blues original theme is the most "powerfull". I can feel the intensity and importance of the battle in the song, its like you know your in the most important moment in your life and you better not loose. The gen 3 and even gen 5 are also amaizing and cool, but the original is the most intense
i know i'm late but fun fact about N's theme, it's comprised of all natural harmonics i believe. this is extremely clever due to his name "Natural Harmonia Gropius" :)
Cynthia's Theme & N's Theme I feel are tied for best Champion Theme. 2nd being Blue's Theme from FireRed/LeafGreen. Metaphorically if remaking the exact rhythm and use of cymbals in 3rd Gen Blue's Theme, and add a bit more Metal genre, I feel it would definitely be the best. I still absolutely love Blue's Champion Theme when I was still playing FireRed. It just sounds phenomenal having a bit of Metal in it.

Platinum: found it a few days ago, and restarted for the heck of it (I think I was up to Crasher Wake before losing it) Soul Silver: Haven’t played in a while, but not beaten yet Black: Being my first Pokémon game, I didn’t know how Switch-training worked, so haven’t beaten the E4 in post-game, Emboar was strongest Pokémon, while the rest of team are around lvl 30 X: Swept Diantha with a Xerneas in my team, though I don’t remember using it in the actual battle Alpha Sapphire: Kyogre for most of the battle, then added Rayquaza in rematches Ultra Sun: I had no idea that Solgaleo could be caught before the League (though I caught Necrozma), but I didn’t use any Legendary. Wow
Play As Kirby And Win I only really do that if i just want to get a game over with for shiny hunting reasons or if I'm doing a Nuzlocke and I happen to have a legendary on my team.
I've beaten most of the champions without legendaries, but as I like to replay games, I have also beaten most of them with legendaries. Gonna beat Diantha for the first time without legendaries when I challenge the elite four in my mono-water playthrough.
I think the only time I used a legendary on the league was in Pokemon Black, but only because the legendary was Genesect (one of my favourites and one I got early in the story as well).
GEN 3 Blue, it's the best, just hear how starts, frenetic, agrassive, epic and overpowered of energy, two guys that rises together since their childhood having their last fight to know who it's the best
I love that you brought some normally trash pokemon ( like beautifly and plusle) to the champion battle! Its the cherry on top of the cherry on top of the cherry on top of the champion music themed ice cream cake!
To be honest after the totems, the battle with Ultra Necrozma and everything else that I had gone through, the elite four and champion battles just felt too easy and like a massive letdown. My team weren't overlevelled either, only my starter was level 60 and the rest were in the range of 57-59.

Never play these latest version but I can say the game has downgraded with time. When I fight Blue in Gen 3, hell he is super tough. And then gen 4 with Red. Holy shiet took too long to win. Nowadays the game just gets to easy.
They games have gotten easier since 4th gen, but have you ever battled ghetsis, iris, totem mimikyu, or ultra necrozma? These fights were WAY harder than blue or red, especially ghetsis

To this day I'm still impressed how Gamefreak went from Blue's theme in GBA games to Cynthia's theme a couple years later. Same goes with pretty much the entire soundtrack of Leaf Green and Fire Red compard to DPPT.
Loved seeing the difficulty of the champion reflected in the cuts you made: Cynthia and Iris being the hardest Steven Kukui and Hau being pretty average Gen 6 champ (Diantha? not sure) being pretty bad etc.
Let me just say, everything in this video is just spot on amazing ! I appreciate effort like this, making it very dynamic and interesting , much more than just a normal music compilation. This inspired me alot , as I'm doing something similar for a series I love as well. Keep it up!

I tend to disagree, as my personal favorite is Red/Lance's theme. However that's my opinion so don't go throwing pokéballs at me.
I loved Hau’s champ theme, he seemed a lot more into it this time. Like it wasn’t just some fun game, but a passionate battle.

Both Blue and Natural Harmonia Gropius didn't even register into the Hall of Fame, so they sadly never officially recognized the 2 as champions.

I kinda like Iris' theme more, but obviously Hau's is the real best. GameFreak put so much effort into Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

1: Lance - Love his theme, and has more substance than Red
2: Diantha - She has a Gardevoir, and a theme that really captivates me
3: Blue - His theme from Black/White? Amazing
4: Cynthia - Probably one of the more attractive Champions
5: Steven - The only Champion who I didn't figure was Champion until his fight
6: Red - His aesthetic in HG/SS was awesome
7: All the others - They didn't reel me in. Also, I have yet to play B/W, B2/W2, S/M and US/UM, although I have White ordered as of two days ago

On Pokémon Showdown, I see Ultra Necrozma regularly and didn't really have a counter to it. *That is, until I looked in the UU tier and saw Blissey!* I don't like Chansey because it's OU and because "Knock Off-ers" are common.

I really do think the blues original theme is the most "powerfull". I can feel the intensity and importance of the battle in the song, its like you know your in the most important moment in your life and you better not loose. The gen 3 and even gen 5 are also amaizing and cool, but the original is the most intense
i know i'm late but fun fact about N's theme, it's comprised of all natural harmonics i believe. this is extremely clever due to his name "Natural Harmonia Gropius" :)

Cynthia's Theme & N's Theme I feel are tied for best Champion Theme. 2nd being Blue's Theme from FireRed/LeafGreen.
Metaphorically if remaking the exact rhythm and use of cymbals in 3rd Gen Blue's Theme, and add a bit more Metal genre, I feel it would definitely be the best. I still absolutely love Blue's Champion Theme when I was still playing FireRed. It just sounds phenomenal having a bit of Metal in it.

Platinum: found it a few days ago, and restarted for the heck of it (I think I was up to Crasher Wake before losing it)
Soul Silver: Haven’t played in a while, but not beaten yet
Black: Being my first Pokémon game, I didn’t know how Switch-training worked, so haven’t beaten the E4 in post-game, Emboar was strongest Pokémon, while the rest of team are around lvl 30
X: Swept Diantha with a Xerneas in my team, though I don’t remember using it in the actual battle
Alpha Sapphire: Kyogre for most of the battle, then added Rayquaza in rematches
Ultra Sun: I had no idea that Solgaleo could be caught before the League (though I caught Necrozma), but I didn’t use any Legendary.

Play As Kirby And Win I only really do that if i just want to get a game over with for shiny hunting reasons or if I'm doing a Nuzlocke and I happen to have a legendary on my team.
I've beaten most of the champions without legendaries, but as I like to replay games, I have also beaten most of them with legendaries. Gonna beat Diantha for the first time without legendaries when I challenge the elite four in my mono-water playthrough.
I think the only time I used a legendary on the league was in Pokemon Black, but only because the legendary was Genesect (one of my favourites and one I got early in the story as well).
Play As Kirby And Win no I do the same I don’t ever use legendaries. Especially in the newer games where they’re a dime a dozen
Iris’s theme remains to this day my favorite Pokémon theme ever.

To be honest after the totems, the battle with Ultra Necrozma and everything else that I had gone through, the elite four and champion battles just felt too easy and like a massive letdown. My team weren't overlevelled either, only my starter was level 60 and the rest were in the range of 57-59.

Never play these latest version but I can say the game has downgraded with time. When I fight Blue in Gen 3, hell he is super tough. And then gen 4 with Red. Holy shiet took too long to win. Nowadays the game just gets to easy.
They games have gotten easier since 4th gen, but have you ever battled ghetsis, iris, totem mimikyu, or ultra necrozma? These fights were WAY harder than blue or red, especially ghetsis

Yeah, he's a good champion. The only problem is my name is also Steven, so it's confusing when NPCs are talking to both of us at the same time.
To this day I'm still impressed how Gamefreak went from Blue's theme in GBA games to Cynthia's theme a couple years later. Same goes with pretty much the entire soundtrack of Leaf Green and Fire Red compard to DPPT.
