Entei is the biggest bastard of the three; I would catch him first, since he's the only one who can KO himself (Flare Blitz)
Entei is the definite first one top go if that is ever the case, which I wish it was.

I just love how their themes are remixes of each other that all combine into a great song. That's such a great design for Character Theme songs.
I mean, they all got remixed from G/S/C and then got their own flavour for each one from the same melody, which is awesome.

@@Someone-do6zm they do? That's not even possible though because they all don't even have the same tempo. Plus, Suicune's version is really the only one you can hear throughout most of it, but during the moments where Suicune's does get quiet for a few seconds, you can hear the drums from Entei's version in the background just loud enough to notice that the timing of his theme is way off from Suicune's.

0:43 - 1:03 Is my favorite bit! You have Suicune and Raikou holding up the melody with Entei giving some strong supporting thumps in the back. Came back to this vid after getting Shiny Entei in 6 encounters via the Dynamax Adventure. 1/100 is high odds but that's still six encounters!!
I got my shiny Raikou recently after like a year of looking for it on and off in adventures and that brought me here too. These 3 are so special to me. I can still remember super vividly chasing Raikou around Johto but never being able to catch him as a kid.
I think 1/100 is good bc each max lair take at the least 15 min so having the rates be the regular ones would probably turn shiny hunters off from the lair
Update: Did a Shiny race for Raikou with my cousin. After the first raid I jokingly said, "Yo, what if I got this first catch and the race was over?"

I seriously appreciate how HGSS let you track Raikou and Entei down in the Pokégear's map; in Crystal, I always ended up running into Entei sooner or later, but finding Raikou for the first time was a pain in the ass.
The original GSC let you do that as well, though you had to go into the pokedex to do so and by the time you got there, they were already somewhere else.
Played japanese Crystal once and found Raikou like, inmediately, managed to catch it too.
Wild Entei, Raikou and Suicune appeared.

I think, they need to use this theme in a game, where you fight all three of these pokemon on a 3v3
but you can choose only one, the other two will faint.
omg i imagine a battle where we can use a kind of "triple capture" launch 3 balls at once and the three must catch them if one of them is not captured the pokemon would protect the other

Entei: The suspenseful intro and drums represent its destructive volcanic powers. He is foreboding, powerful, and dangerous.
Raikou: The guitar jolts in like sparks of electricity and the tempo is faster to represent his speed.
Suicune: A creature of water, calm, smooth, majestic... the notes are softer and the xylophone plays whimsical trills as if suicune is dashing across the water like the wind.

My experience with the Legendary Beasts...
*Suicune:* thank Arceus it's a static encounter... BUT I FORGOT TO FUCKING SAVE. Luckily I managed to catch it without resetting... _after 56 Ultra Balls._
*Entei:* an average of 32 minutes to track it down each time, 14 encounters, and a total of 25 Poké Balls used on it (14 Quick Balls and 11 Ultra Balls).
*Raikou:* THE FUCKING BASTARD. An average of _89 minutes_ to track it down EACH TIME, _35 encounters_ and a total of _97 Poké Balls_ used on this asshole (35 Quick Balls and 62 Ultra Balls).
Despite this, I still do not hate Raikou. In fact, the Legendary Beasts are my favorite legendary trio.
Raikou: "I'm the coolest of the trio, so I'm the hardest to capture."
i swear it's always *one* of the two roamers that's a pain. One's always fairly easy, while the other just...REFUSES to stay in the goddamn ball
Roaming Legendaries are infinite hell. Thankfully, the hell ends once you've captured all of them. Raikout is DEFINITELY the hardest, because it's got a high speed so it can run away before you can land a move with your Pokémon. Though, it sounds like HGSS is...more _possible_ than Crystal is. I played Crystal, and I don't think a capture would've been possible in ANY universe with "just" 97 balls.
This is what I think of when I think of "legendary Pokemon battle music"
Raikou: "This weird human child just pulled out a purple sphere..."
Of all the legendary themes, this is probably the best legendary theme. It got all the hyped. That's why Johto region is one of the best regions in Pokemon.

1:30 - 1:45 is definitely my favorite part of this theme
This, and the original gameboy version, makes my cry, everytime. I cant explain it
Would be really cool if in HGSS, before being able to catch any of them, you have to do a triple battle with them of course at lower levels, and upon beating them, they acknowledge your potential and go run away the normal way and their levels individually increase
Together they feel so complete!
Imagine the composer for the games was like Cheerie spending hours in the studio like “well entei I’ll make percussive and lows, Raiku can be some hi’s and pitchy and suicine.. I want synths. Lots of synths and Melodie’s. Let’s see if anyone will ever layer them together”
It legit sounds like a complete track all layered together. Which is sort of genius and clever to leave breadcrumbs of details like this.

raikou: fast and electronic, like thunder
entei: slower and powerfull, like fire
suicune: melodic and majestic, like crystal
Imagine an Ultra world where you get to triple battle against those 3 at the same time !

Just some food for thought here, but i get the feeling that suicune was the more distant one of the trio. Mainly because of the fact that in ancient times these pokemon were feared, with suicune taking a lot of the attention of it, and with how dodgy suicune is out of all of them. Plus with how cold suicune's eyes are, while the other two have bright eyes per say

Entei's separate theme out of all three is my favorite IMO. Even though I like Suicune the most
I hope we hear this in Scarlet since all of them is fused in a Past Paradox form
How to do this.
1. Play all 3 themes at the same time
2. Record and edit
3. Do final edits.
4. Put it on YT
BOOM. a masterpiece even masuda couldnt do
Or extract all the themes and put them together in an audio editor.
It’s not that easy.
Note Entei’s theme has a slower tempo, aand Raikou’s theme has some different timings with the melodies with Suicune’s.
I like when gamefreak does this with music where if there's multiple pokemon that share a theme like these guys or black and white kyurem they'll split the song into parts and when you put the parts together you get something that sounds super amazing
Pokemon masters predictions? I mean this would be an awesome event, fighting all three beasts at once and theme like this playing in the background. that would be great.
My hope is that Anabel gets Raikou and Euscine gets a Suicune (probably Shiny) then they join up with Evelyn & Entei to make a potential Legendary Beasts theme.

Entei gets a movie, Suicune gets a storyline in the games and a special episode in the anime, and poor Raikou got nothing of importance.
Well, Raikou got the anime special _The Legend of Thunder_ , but apart from that and the shiny one from the 13th movie, Raikou has only appeared in a split-second cameo in one single episode...

I have a funny story! after the 4th gym, I found Entei and thought hm... is Entei heavy? I just so happened to have a heavy ball right there so, I threw it. and by some miracle, I ever so happened to catch the thing. A LVL 40 ENTEI BEFORE OLIVINE. I could rek the whole game if I wanted to
