- Shot a bunch of clips last summer while traveling around Sicily and finally found some time to put them together. Really like how this one turned out. What an amazing trip in such a spectacular region.
Cities visited: Siracusa, Noto, Modica, Ragusa, Scicli, Marzamemi, Catania, Taormina.
Shot on Sony ZV-E1 with Leica R 28mm f/2.8. Edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve with BUTTERY Eterna LUT (Creative Collection).

Love the raw sound
Matteo, thank you for sharing. This is beautiful. I felt like I was there. Your eye for capturing beauty in culture and humanity is outstanding. Keep on brother.
Thank you! I keep watching it too. Really love summer in Italy and Sicily. It’s a magical place!
I spent eight months living in southeastern Sicily, which is where the first 7m40s of this was filmed. Got around everywhere on a motorbike. Good memories. Much of that area is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it was completely rebuilt in Baroque style after a devastating earthquake that killed 60,000 in 1693.
THIS LENS LOOKS CRAZY SHARP!!!! MIGHT NEED TO GET IT FOR MY BMPC6K youve sold it to me!!
Beautiful video. Your wife is always such a good sport and seems unbothered by you recording. My wife is the same: a ride or die ❤
Opening shot is superb!
I love this. The sound, the color grading and of course Sicily!
I would looove a Colour Grading (and camera settings) breakdown of this work of art! Absolute serenity.
Hello, beautiful footage. I saw a moire on the stairs at 1:27. Is this due to RUclips compression or did the camera register it like that? Thank you.
Amazing imagery. Makes me want to fly there now.
OMG! As soon as I saw that thumbnail with Noto in the background I knew I would love this video. (Which I did) I visited Sicily back in April and absolutely loved it. I even did my own little film called "Sicily On Film". I'm sure you enjoyed Sicily as much as I did and I look forward to going back someday.
This is amazing!
It makes me calm down.. Nice video
Love your videos! Would you say a 4:3 crop on the full frame ZV-E1 4k format is an accurate recreation of that open gate 3:2 (35mm film look) from your BMCC6K?
Beautiful work Matteo. felt like I was there. Can’t wait for summer 😂
Ahah same! Thank you!
Really cool video! Capturing moments and enjoying life 😎
Nice footage Matteo. The problem with ambient sound I always find the mostly hard sound transitions from clip to clip. Maybe the only way to solve this is to lower the soundvolume at the end of each clip and lower the volume at the start of each clip and both maybe within 1 second...
Matteo, are you seriously telling me you brought a tiny ZV-E1 on your honeymoon and not the Blackmagic URSA 12K? Beautiful memories in any case.
Bro is embracing that full frame life now
My Ursa is s35 :) best camera I’ve ever owned
@@matteobertoli good for you for using different cameras and brands. Looks good!
beautifully shot again matteo! wondering if you have any advice for how you make sure you have a proper exposure on the zve1 especially in high contrast scenes or low light?
ola, tem alguma atulização dos LUts Buttery para a Blackmagic fullframe?
They are the same as the Pocket LUTs :)
La mia bella Modica 😍
Do you put the rec 709 lut before the eterna lut? Great vid by the way :)
Thanks! No the Eterna already converts to Rec709
Did you use Buttery Luts?
Hold on a tick, does this camera shoot open gate or did you crop it?
I added black bars on the side
Can't believe that this is all 35mm like in description.
My mistake it was all 28mm
What lens was used for this???

❤
nice.
Sony more digital than bm? I don’t know.. some say the blacks are more crushed
Not sure, didn’t really care about cameras in this video. It’s just an amazing memory of our honeymoon :)
@@matteobertoli ❤️
great footage but the bmcc6K is so much better -
Yeah it’s like comparing a Panda to a Ferrari tho ahah
SO THIS IS THE SONY? FUCK I THOGHT IT WAS THE BMPCC
Beautiful cinematography! That was a great video that I also need to work on my cinematography. I’m a photographer and filmmaker, and a couple of days ago I made a video myself, if you’re interested in sharing your opinion about my video and filmmaking skills I would very much appreciate you guys. Thank you. :))
