Palermo is one of my favorite cities. We were doing over 18,000 steps per day when we were there. The Caponata restaurant goes against my "no English menus" when choosing a place to eat but we'll take your word that it's very good.
It's so easy to get that many steps here! Our shoes were so warn out by the end of this trip. Normally we go against english menus too, but we made an exception here.
Your series was by far the most helpful videos for planning my trip to Sicily. You guys travel right and understand the culture the way I seek to. I’m so excited to return to the motherland after 3 generations!
Thank you ! as we are in Sicily in September this year you have really helped us choose where to stay & given a good insight to the different areas, enjoy your positive journeys look forward to more x
Gorgeous architecture and Chiesa di Santa Caterina - wow! I love that you are helping when you shop where the sticker is shown. Palermo is really pretty too, the whole island seems beautiful. Futbol team pride is everywhere! And, you made me hungry again, lol.
I just seen that opera guy on the street two days ago. I didn’t think to look for the opera house cause I just walked into town from the train station and was following my maps on my phone to our room. Dang. Also I seen one of those stickers at a shop in Capo market!
For this tour, we were short on time and could only attend the Italian tour, but they do offer others in English! Martin speaks Italian so that’s how we were able to understand.
Great video. I love the no mafia activism and tour. It reminded me of Medellin and how much tourists romanticize the Escobar/narcotrafficking era without really understanding how terrible it was for the people who lived there. I know Mexico is really struggling with this now and the business “tax’ so many have to pay :/ I’ve really enjoyed this series (and it’s made me very hungry 😂)

This is the city my grandfather and family left Sicily to go to New York City! I’m sure it was smaller back then.

8:40 Did the tour guide speak Italian only? How did you guys understand him

🦋🎨 I wish I could figure out what kind of bag you have over your shoulder. I would really like to get one of those for traveling.
It’s actually from Costco!! Lululemon has similar ones, but this was was soooo much cheaper!
Food doesn’t go on tour. Love it❤
😂😂😂 thank you!!!
The first and only one thing to do is discover Palermo with us! ❤
Thanks for watching!
i am going Vancouver Canada and USA florida and LA in 4 or 5 years how to stay safe do they have pickpocket pickpocket i hope not
Pickpocketing isn’t super big in those cities you mentioned. Just make sure to be aware of your surroundings as always :)

Those are some great ideas!
The mafia came to NYC and my grandfather would not pay protection money for his corner store. He was killed by the mafioso in 1965.
🙏🙏🙏❤️
Thanks for watching!
It looks so dirty, grafetti; don’t they paint over it?
Sicily is not Italy, this is truth. Italy is a peninsula, but Sicily is a part of italian republic.
?
@@andrewdiprose this is true. Sicily is almost another nation.
can't Italian make elegant graphics like in Roman time or Cave painting 60 thousand years before instead of this crappy cave painting
Graffiti ruins it
It was definitely surprising to us!
