Motherboard features are better on full ATX and ITX. Micro generally just has fewer options. A shame since micro can fit plenty of NVME in its footprint with all those lanes it can repurpose from lost PCIE slots...
I built the same desktop. This has been a joy to build in this case. My specs are: Ryzen 7600, 32GB 5600, Thermalright Phantom Spirit Cooler, 2TB Samsung 990Pro, TUF 7800XT OC, RM750e and for cooling I threw in 3x Antec Storm T3 fans. An absolute monstrosity for 1440p.
I would also recommend for anyone that is trying to step up the looks even more to add some custom GPU cables, will clean up the look of your build a ton!
2:07 I can quite comfortably get around 5.7ghz with the 13600K so i think it is worth overclocking. Even if you're not going to OC you can still undervolt a bit to lower the tdp
Wow I decided to build a pc myself a week ago, after seeing another video on a similar build. Then I found this as I am about to get all the parts, and see that all the changes I’ve made to that build is similar to the build of yours. Stunning video as well!
You are one of the few PC builders who actually install high tier fans (though anything similar or better than the Arctic P12/P14 is already good for this case) to address the Q300L's 'hotbox' issue. Most reviews for the Q300L rely on the pathetic single stock fan that came with the case, with shockingly predictable results.
I had the v1 version of this case for a long time. It worked for water cooling a GPU while air cooling a CPU. It definitely works for a small build but was very difficult to work in.
I would encourage folks to just swing for 2TB+ if they can afford it (or save up if at all possible). Especially in a micro-atx build where getting to components can be a bit of a pain and "add-ins" are quite difficult if not impossible.. Games these days are 100GB+, so you will be able to fill a 1TB drive super quick.
@@williamelijah27 You certainly could do that. It is just one more thing hanging off of your micro-atx pc though. Also, USB4/TB4/TB5 traditionally has not kept up with PCIe/NVMe. So only a matter of time before your external ssd/enclosure begins to feel the speed pressure.
I tried DDR4 and 5 with the 13600kf, most games you won't notice the difference, one game saw DDR5 get a clear win and a handful of games favoured DDR4. DDR4 has lower latency than DDR5 although it does perform better with some computing tasks such as 7zip. Should be using a replacement CPU mounting solution, especially in such a small case, it will lower CPU temps by 10+°C. No point buying a "k" if you don't overclock it, most 13600k's will do 5.5GHz with lowered voltage and massive temperature drops, it's crazy not to, again especially in a small case. Love that little case, and it's basically a solid build, looks good, solid performance, solid video.
What speeds did your ddr5 have compared to ddr4? I see ddr4 3600cl16-18-4000cl16-18(OC) demolishing ddr5 under 6200cl32 but as soon as ddr5 passes that in speeds is when it finally starts winning or being even, next gen should bring out higher 1:1 ddr5 speeds and we will finally see it surpassing ddr4 in performance on average and overall! (Hopefully)
This is a great mATX build, exactly what I am looking for having compared different parts on pc builder. Great explanation of the different parts fitting together and look forward to more content.
Companies need to bring back Micro ATX. As far as I can remember, a lot of motherboards that came in prebuilts and what not are Micro ATX motherboards incased in either mATX cases or Mid Tower cases. With todays tech and everything being smaller (besides ITX) mATX should replace ATX just because it would save them some cost and fit all the bells and wistles appropiately.
if you got an modular psu and case like that i would say - connect power connectors to the motherboard BEFORE you attach motherboard to the case then you can just move cables first via the holes and then attach the board :) no need of then using your raccon fingers to attach connector in tight space like that :D
Kinda big for an mATX case. Then again it's cheaper than many mATX case on the market so it's not bad. Plus, it's not putting the power supply at front. I do wish it had a bit more airflow to it then just holes. Otherwise great inexpensive case.
Especially with the smaller processor, I would have used an ATX 3.0 850 watt power supply. In the games you showed, you can see that the consumption is more like 400 watts, which is closer to the effective sweet spot of 50% utilization for an 850 watt power supply.
No it wont fit on the case, in fact nothing will since there isn’t any place to mount on it. But, it will fit in the case, if a 4090 can fit what do you think?
Hello, what is the small window in the top of the screen which is showing the FPS, CPU Load, and more. You see it on minute 1:29 for example. I'm searching for so long for these software and could never figure out which one it is. Glad to here your feedback, many thanks and have a great day.
I have to thank you for this video and your channel. I pretty much copied the build you have here and am super satisfied with it. It's my first PC build ever after having bought various laptops and mini pc's to game on. But none of those actually matched the performance I wanted out of a gaming machine, so I decided to go all in. I feel great about the build because I more than likely won't have to worry about upgrades for a good while. I was thinking of switching CPU platforms to an AMD 7800X3D if I can find a buyer for the CPU/Mobo Combo. But if not, I still have a killer rig and it was a great experience following the video while building.
Very awesome. I'm glad to see that the B760's can handle these beasts of cpu's in such a small build! Totally gonna upgrade my cpu later this year my 11700f is starting to bottleneck my 3080 in some games including Starfield. :(
Ha I just got this case a week ago, funny to see it in a video. I crammed three 140mm fans in there, two in front and one in the bottom. And two 120mm fans on top and another 120 in the exhaust. Also have two 120mm on the cpu cooler. And finally, crammed in a 6950xt as well as an HDD in that side panel with the cables. Cool case, I have it laying flat on its side on my desk.
Hey there, most of your Builds are solid. but on this one i don't get why pair a "K" CPU with a "B" MB. There is a 13600 available, so why spend money on an unlocked feature that you will most lokely never use?
im looking for a matx case with a 140 rear fan and 2x140 or 280rad top and 2x140 or 280rad front... only could find the kolink mesh.. are there any more? also u forgot to mention when using a pcie m2 nvme drive ur gpu pcie lanes of the gpu will shrink...
I would have chosen a z690 or z790 chipset motherboard to unleash the full potencial of the cpu, as well as using at least a 240mm radiator to really disipate it's heat
Awesome video, planning on using this case but with an AMD build. Is the intake okay for the PSU? It seems quite clsoe to the floor. Also does spreading the thermal paste like that not lead to it overspilling?
Im building this pc but slightly different parts. Same cpu 4070 Be quiet pure power 12 (650w) already have it thats why Same fans and mobo Kingston ram and ssd ( just like the brand)
micro atx is underrated. I always see people either building huge rigs in huge cases or the smallest thing possible mATX is just right imo
With no jacky tunning style. very discret its rare and don't add useless fan that you gone change.
they wanna sell rgb fans thats why big atx cases are around..
Motherboard features are better on full ATX and ITX. Micro generally just has fewer options.
A shame since micro can fit plenty of NVME in its footprint with all those lanes it can repurpose from lost PCIE slots...
@@thumbwarriordx I’d like to see mATX boards start to creatively offer more NVMe slots.
This channel is just such a good channel for pc builders who prefer the simple and minimalist design over having a rig filled with rgb.
I'm really impressed with the space in this seemingly smaller case.
*This one video got me on the fence of downsizing to mATX vs ITX*
This video got me to build my first PC! Although I pretty much copied the build here, I'm super satisfied with mine.
But itx is smaller
Cooler Master NR200 is a great option for a first ITX build.
@@XxDaniel317xX they are not produced, 200p v2 only
mATX is way better than ITX because there are room of upgradability, you get 4 ram slot, more PCIe, more M.2, and a lot for just a little bigger size.
This channel is criminally underrated, your content is great man! Keep it up and wish you to get the attention you deserve

I’m surprised that Cooler masters More Budgeted case can fit a 4090 that’s Just Wild man :00

For the memory, it's 5600 megatransfers, not megahertz. The actual clock speeds are half that.

Interesting to hear you say it has good airflow when every review I've seen describes this case as an oven.

Just a question, shoudnt the HP plug for the graphic card had at least 3 PCIe conection in the PS side for a 4090?
Awesome as always Devyn.
I am considering the AMD version of this build.
Replacing LGA1700 stock contact frame with aftermarket one would be a nice upgrade for this build
I returned mine in time after seeing how bad is the airflow with these small holes. DeepCool CH370 offer's a better airflow and has a similar size.
