everything that comes into your experience, is not you, but you are the one aware. You cannot find it, so do not try. Your thoughts will come, but you remain the same. They will say this and that, and you stay the same. They're like little blips, the sensations of reality. If you can handle them, and let go of your aversion or clinging to them, they will just come and go without your desire to have them or not have them. That is peace. You need to identify with the awareness, rather than the concepts you have of yourself. You do that by allowing whatever arises in experience to arise without wishing it away or wishing to have it. Then you can dive deeper into questioning who you truly are, and life will show you.
I had one of those strong important seeming experiences or seeings the other day, I could see that there was only a single voice speaking to me, the many were one. The whole world is transcribed via the voice in the head, I felt uneasy and troubled, it felt like I could now see the enemy more clearly, but how to overcome? I have settled more the last few days, this “enemy “ was something I was beginning to carry, from presence it comes and goes, like any object, it IS ALL objects, the root of the tree with branches of many. This is not an enemy new, just a clearer view of that which takes many forms to whisper in the ear, will I get tangled in the branches while I struggle or simply let it be? It is the voice which whispers “I give you the world, without me you are nothing”, so subtle a voice to seem to be my own, presence is the light which even reveals this to me and to which I return 🙏
That was a great last question Simon as this is an issue I have. When I feel (I won't say think!) I'm being aware of my essential nature I then start wondering whether I'm doing it right, is this it and so on. It's like deriving an answer but not knowing if it's the correct answer and there's no one to mark your homework to tell you if you are correct or not.
I do think sometimes that the progressive path Rupert mentions is probably more useful at least for beginners, I feel it's a more natural guidance, at least that's what I've found. Sometimes hearing "nothing is real, everything is an illusion" is a bit anxiety inducing 😂, and not that helpful for someone who is starting out on the path. I do love Rupert though.

That’s the first step, yes.

Animals live like that, simply being, we also, but not just animals, we are spiritual beings. We must understand what is all about?
Donald being a science man can make it more understandable.
