    This actually serves as a really good summary of the story for someone who does not wish to play the game but only enjoy the story line. The commentary was done very properly and did not interrupt any parts of the story itself. It was not mumbling about irrelevant things, it was great all around.

    Wow I've played this game many many years ago when I was a child, I used to get so scared by the dark prince itself, I could feel the fear through the game when I've played but unfortunately as child the two boss fight was way too difficult for me back then so I never continued after, but today I've watched your video from very start to end and I'm able to feel that child in me again and that kid is just soo happy to see you play the game throughout and surely his mind is blown considering you didn't even took a single damage, I'd just say wow and thank you for your upload, I'm emotional right now and respect to your research and trials through each section of this gameplay before you started the no damage run... Keep it up, God bless you ;)

    Two tips for you if you'd like to revisit this game some day:-
    1. If you want to get sands from every enemy barring the wolves after getting Sharaman's sword, hit them with combos beginning with the dagger. Combos ensure you sands.
    2. For the wall rebound glitch in the Middle Tower before the game comes to an end, you needn't change the frame rate of your game. When wall running towards the rebound, release the wall run button (I guess it's right mouse click in default controls) while keeping the directional button pressed as soon as you reach the leafy patch on the wall & rebound as usual. The key here is releasing the wall run button before his feet cross the leafy patch. That's it. It's just a neat little trick. I saw in a lone RUclips video. I would've linked you the video but somehow RUclips doesn't post links in comments so I wrote it down.
    Your vids are enjoyable! Thanks!

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the tips, the Sands one from combos is huge. I actually did try that trick for the shutter several times but for whatever reason I found it really unreliable, and in the end syncing my frames down helped me and other players get it in a single try so I went with that instead. ^_^

      Warrior Within is not looking good for this kind of run because of how "messy" the game's design is -- it doesn't let the player approach it with clean precision the way Sands and Two Thrones do, to the point that when I was looking for WW Hard No Damage runs on RUclips, I didn't find a single one -- only No Deaths. This leads me to believe that it's not possible otherwise someone would've already done it, I mean the game has been out for eighteen years.

I was so frustrated with this jump that at some point I had to look it up on the internet, and to my surprise, I wasn't the only one struggling. Sooooo happy you did this Leo. This is my favorite of the trilogy. Mainly coz of the amount of time I spent on it. This is the only one I owned for my PSP which was my first, proper video game related thing ever. The PSP port wasn't the best when it came to details like the Prince's tattoes. But I can enjoy those here. Are you gonna do Warrior Within? Feels weird to skip that one. Also a little strange to skip combat as the Dark Prince, but you do you maestro. Loved this.

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  2 года назад

      I tried to do Warrior Within but it seems like it's not possible, unfortunately. I even looked for Hard Mode No Damage runs on RUclips and on other websites, and not a single one actually exists that I've discovered, there's only No Death which would just feel weird. Warrior Within is a messy, sloppily-designed game that doesn't let you play "clean" and that really bothers me because aesthetically and structurally I _really_ love it. :(

    • @makhfi3490
      @makhfi3490 2 года назад

      @@LeoKRogue Would you open to just playing Warrior Within? I think a lot of your viewers enjoy your longform commentary run. So maybe just stream the game? And I also agree with you about warrior within. For example the way the enemies are modeled(they have small bodies) and the way they crowd you, their speed, combined with the dark aesthetic really makes it difficult to read their attacks and respond(speaking as someone who actually like countering in PoP). It's done much better here

    That was an enjoyable watch! Learnt a few new skips. My favourite in the entire trilogy. For me, every successive installment was better than the previous one, although in the grand scheme of things, I would say that Sands of Time is more valuable to the history of gaming. Sands of Trilogy is probably the only franchise where I love all the games. Two Thrones could've been Kindred Blades, & there are some bugs in the game, but by the end, I'm happy with the finished product. It's amazing what they did in a year's time of development. Most people don't think this way, but I think this trilogy has one of the best stories in the world of video games. A captivating start & a satisfying end! Two Thrones & Warrior Within for me has lots of replay value! Truly gems worthy of cherishing for me ...

      @LeoKRogue  Год назад

      I love The Sands Trilogy's story. I think it's quite beautiful and poetic in so many ways, I love how it all comes full-circle and ends the same way it begins. Perfect for this kind of series. The Prince and Farah are one of my all-time favorite gaming couples, as well.

      Your thoughts on plot holes?
      Is the reason why the Timeline had changed because of killing Kaileena in the Past? 7 years after killing The Vizier would have us finish the game killing Dahaka in the present and returning to Babylon with Kai. Or simply having her alive in the Prince’s time “erases” everything sand- related?

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  Год назад +1

      Thank you! I don't have a video like this done for Warrior Within. Sadly, I did try, but the game doesn't allow itself to be played so "cleanly" and perfectly, while Sands of Time and Two Thrones do.
      I think that's why there's no proper No Damage run of WW on RUclips even from other channels -- at least, last time I checked, which was a few months ago. There are _Boss_ Runs but no full-game hitless that I've managed to find.
      Typically I don't look for them from others because I like to come up with my own strategies, but in the case of Warrior Within after I gave up on it, I decided to check and see how other people did it, aaand... they didn't.
      I guess no one else found a way either. ^__^''

      @LeoKRogue Wow, first off props for a response within literal minutes ! I do get that, warrior within is clunky when it comes to walls and combat in general and is filled with so many encounters anyway, the non linear design would be confusing to set up the segments with so i guess i do see where youre coming from. A remake of the game would be great yeah but we'll have to wait a long while before then, till then keep doing what you do and maybe make more stuff up with these two games because POP is a big favourite and would love to see more from you :)

      I have, but it didn't work out.
      Warrior Within is less cleanly-designed than Sands and Thrones so there are many many many instances where the player takes damage and it's not their fault or they couldn't realistically do anything to avoid it.
      I gave it an honest try but it just frustrated me with how unviable it turned out to be.

      Sands of Time -> Two Thrones -> Warrior Within
      Warrior Within has amazing combat innovations and very strong atmosphere though. I just think its level design is quite poor, and it doesn't allow players to run it damageless in the clean way the other two do. That's why there's none of it on this channel. :(

      @@LeoKRogue ah gotchu, just finished sands of time for the first time and loved it! moving on to WW now but i have some questions about sands of time. why did farah leave in the middle of the night with the dagger anyways? lol also what is going on with the magic fountains do they ever explain why those exist or is the prince just delusional

      Farah leaves with the Dagger in the middle of the night because the Prince has been unwilling to really trust her, several times. And when they reached the Hourglass, he hesitated because he still thinks she secretly hates him. This self-doubt makes her disbelieve that he has what it takes to return the Sands, so she decides to do it herself so he doesn't have the chance to fail again. It's very tragic.
      The magic fountains are never explained.
