I only know about this character from Kevin Smith's Green Arrow run I read in my teens .. I kinda wish there was a little bit more Color in this series .so far this looks different from the original DCAU
I think the gangster and the kid two face is holding at gun point could either be Carmine Falcone or Sal Maroni. I’m leaning toward Carmine cause I think the kid is Alberto Falcone
Is that me or some batman's villains are experts, mad hatter expert on mind control, Mr. Freeze expert on ice and cold, poison ivy expert on plants, scarecrow expert on fear?
I guarantee the design of two face was something that matt reeves pitched. Especially considering his vision for the joker in the batman. I cant wait for this. Im honestly gonna buy prime just for this since max fumbled.
I'm both excited and worried about this series. I'm worried because Bruce Timm most recent work hasn't been his best like The Killing Joke animated movie and the Batman and Harley Quinn movie and J.J. Abrams also hasn't been on my good graces lately, I'm not a fan of his Star Wars or Star Trek. But on the other hand, Matt Reeves is attached to it, and he's one of my favorite filmmakers, I love his Planet of the Apes movies and his recent Batman. I'm still gonna give it a watch, though. If it's bad, then it's bad, but if it's good, then great.
Hard to tell from how zoomed out it is but i don't think those are rapiers. Most people don't actually know what rapiers are and just call every pointy poke sword that Real rapiers are just as heavy as any other sword and generally are among the longest 1 handed swords with a emphasis on thrusts but usually have some sort of cutting ability.
I thought that the sword fight looked as though it was between Batman and Onomatopoeia instead of Clayface, as Ono is dressed in full black and also has a hat.
Seeing Onomotopeia made me think once people see this show they will think of him as a Batman villain rather than a Green Arrow villain. It has happened so many times in animation whenever Batman fights another heroes villains.
I'm surprised by some of the supernatural elements in this trailer since I thought the show was going to be a more grounded, gritty, noire type of thing given its setting in the 40's.
9:44 Is it just me, or does the Penguin kinda look like how Gentleman Ghost typically looks in most incarnations? Maybe this is the result of Alfred getting possessed by GG?
Good choice of favourite batman villain, but im not too sure about this design, its not that bad but i like the eye of the beholder design from 96, or long Halloween harvey
Huh. Looks like waiting for San Diego isn't that necessary anymore. 0:06: Neat art, but ouch, aren't neons very hot? (A shame they didn't do a shout-out of the Radar Man episode's environmental title drop from Paranoia Agent.) If I have a partial disappointment to the trailer, it's that it just had to show off the villains and their designs. Would have held that off until their big reveals in the show itself. (Case in point, the surprise that was Onomatopoeia.) As expected, we're going Year One with this. When I think about "realistic" when it comes to Two-Face's look, I actually wasn't expecting light enough yet still revolting damage via the acid burn. Was expecting another The Dark Knight burned look. 2:28: Did expect and not mind this, not having a bisected suit. 2:45: Quite a praiseworthy choice to me. That's a good reason why I prefer Michael Ironside and Powers Boothe as the definitive voices for Darkseid and Gorilla Grodd respectively, subverting voice expectations. 3:13: Is this credits edit exclusive to the trailer promo or will it also be in the show proper, I wonder? I actually thought the scientist Clayface look was Hugo Strange. 5:26: So Clayface has now become the electrocutioner and not the electrocuted... ah, neat gory discretion shots are still around. 5:44: Nice, Batman wielding swords again! 6:15: Aren't those a DCAU Batman signat-ACK!!! Man, Jeffrey Combs would have made a fine Onomatopoeia. 9:27: Oh, gods, the Inque flashbacks are coming back! Perhaps the Penguin is surprisingly burly. Not pudgy, you know. 10:12: Brings into mind Arkham Origins. Perhaps Natalia Knight is a shadowy manipulative b***h, pulling the strings around Gotham and maybe beyond over the course of the show. 12:53: Just ignoring the Joker hypothesis, but dang, talk about the gun-wielding Barbara Gordon... wonder if she'll still be Batgirl in this worldline? Ah, good old Batmobile is still doing some magic.
I don’t think Nocturna was a vampire in the comics. Timm wanted to make her one on the show. It’s a little confusing because there was a big vampire storyline in the Batman comics around the time Nocturna first appeared, but it had nothing to do with her.
Funny you mention the mobster shooting at Barbara being a potential candidate for the Joker, cause I’m pretty sure I saw a man baring a striking resemblance to “Jack” being decked in the face by Batman closer to the beginning of the trailer. It’s probably just the hooked nose but anything’s possible.
I did not expect to see Onomatopoeia make an appearance..I am happy to see him but I wish creators would stop taling Green Arrow villains and turning them into Batman villains! I have to be honest I am not a huge fan of the "realistic" take on dent. It just looks bland and not as memorable as his scarred appearance from BTAS. It is not example as to why I am tired of the "realistic " approach to Batman stories. The actor for Bruce sounds good. The designs look a little bland. If they are using Firebug there is a chance they might use Rat catcher. At least I hope so. Overall the trailer looked pretty decent.
13:02 I don't know if there will be a Joker in Caped Crusader. From the trailer it looks like Harley Quinn and Joker have been merged into one character. Which I'm all for. It's a new take on some arguably way over exposed characters.
I could definitely see Harley Quinn being the Joker of Batman Caped Crusader, it makes the most sense considering that the series is meant to feel fresh
Do you suppose the two corpses that had the spider walking across the eye died from fear toxin? Also, the sword you’re thinking about is called a “foil”.
Invincible, Hazbin Hotel, and Batman Caped Crusader really made animation on Amazon prime almose awesome this year(almost awesome because Amazon is allowing sauasage party foodtopia on to their streaming service)

Clayface looks interesting
I ❤️ Catwoman In this trailer she looks like she's having fun beating Batman up .
I'm surprised that Onompeua is in this show .
I think clayface will be like false face in the 1966 show
Love the trailer
The Two Face design is very similar to the Gotham Knights interpretation of the character. Very excited to see him and Penguin again🐧
I’m excited 😊 looks great
Hard to tell from how zoomed out it is but i don't think those are rapiers.
Most people don't actually know what rapiers are and just call every pointy poke sword that
Real rapiers are just as heavy as any other sword and generally are among the longest 1 handed swords with a emphasis on thrusts but usually have some sort of cutting ability.
The Mayor is Hamilton Hill right? Not sure if it’s him or someone else
I was hoping to get Serum Lake’s take on that trailer soon as possible.
Purple hat rim???
Maybe!
Any word on how long the episodes will be?
I thought that the sword fight looked as though it was between Batman and Onomatopoeia instead of Clayface, as Ono is dressed in full black and also has a hat.
Seeing Onomotopeia made me think once people see this show they will think of him as a Batman villain rather than a Green Arrow villain. It has happened so many times in animation whenever Batman fights another heroes villains.
Oh NO JJ Abrams as an executive Producer! The kiss of death missing the themes of any adaptation! I hope Caped Crusader is Good.
I'm surprised by some of the supernatural elements in this trailer since I thought the show was going to be a more grounded, gritty, noire type of thing given its setting in the 40's.
I think its someone else doing the murder while clayface looks shocked and in fear actually at 5:28
Two-Face is very much Nolan inspired I think.
The animation style is like the last Adam West animations... Not sure how I feel about that.
Not really, because Nolan's Two-Face design was inspired by Tim Sale's design.
9:44 Is it just me, or does the Penguin kinda look like how Gentleman Ghost typically looks in most incarnations?
Maybe this is the result of Alfred getting possessed by GG?
Firebug kind of reminds of the Gotham TV Series's version of Firefly
I'm so excited for this show, DC's on fire 🔥
Good choice of favourite batman villain, but im not too sure about this design, its not that bad but i like the eye of the beholder design from 96, or long Halloween harvey
Huh. Looks like waiting for San Diego isn't that necessary anymore.
0:06: Neat art, but ouch, aren't neons very hot? (A shame they didn't do a shout-out of the Radar Man episode's environmental title drop from Paranoia Agent.)
If I have a partial disappointment to the trailer, it's that it just had to show off the villains and their designs. Would have held that off until their big reveals in the show itself. (Case in point, the surprise that was Onomatopoeia.)
As expected, we're going Year One with this.
Is Firebug supposed yo be where DC Firefly came from?
I don’t think Nocturna was a vampire in the comics. Timm wanted to make her one on the show. It’s a little confusing because there was a big vampire storyline in the Batman comics around the time Nocturna first appeared, but it had nothing to do with her.
She was a vampire.
nevermind..
Looks goated
The face looks neat to me, but I mourn the lack of the split suit. Two-Face thrives from having funky split suits.
I mean Arrow stole a lot of Batman’s villains this series only took one that we know of.
@@Walker_Dead_Phoenix.2016 i would love to see that
the mobster who's shooting barbara could be jack before he became joker
Mad hatter will appear
Interesting he says. No split suit. Maybe no multiple personality either. But Im ok with that.
Also the ghostly looking person is gentleman ghost
Do you suppose the two corpses that had the spider walking across the eye died from fear toxin? Also, the sword you’re thinking about is called a “foil”.
Invincible, Hazbin Hotel, and Batman Caped Crusader really made animation on Amazon prime almose awesome this year(almost awesome because Amazon is allowing sauasage party foodtopia on to their streaming service)
Holy shit onomatopeia
Womp
Like X-Men '97, I bet this series won't be for kids unlike Batman: TAS or other DCAU shows.
