Brad today: Ya so, I got fired by Michael Jackson... and he sang it in one of his hit songs... that is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life. Although he probably still hates my guts in eternity

@@girkingrightnow right, i'm glad you know this lol that is how the song normally ends live, but the problem was it usually ends like that much sooner than it did. THAT was the mistake.
There's no such thing as a musician who hasn't made a mistake. We have all forgotten lyrics, chords and arrangements. Even if you've rehearsed a number 500 times and have played it for 20 years, sometimes the mind just goes. That being said, not all of us have had Michael Jackson as our boss and front man!!

at the energy level he has at every show you'd think he'd at least stop moving and singing to start making hand gestures to the director and ask what's wrong basically make a whole scene like singers do yelling "stop the music" but nah he kept it going...the level of professionalism and work ethic MJ had is something to be admired
I read up on this incident. It was like a bad chain reaction accident. The whole thing started with his co-singer. She sung one of his lines where there was supposed to be silence. That in turn threw the lighting, and sound off. It sounds like he sings "You're my new girl" Then he's facing her and definitely sings "It's a breakdown" And he does that chopping motion like he's telling her it should've been silent right there. The whole thing just went catawhompus on MJ, completely different than the way they rehearsed it. I think he handled it like the true professional he was. *ADDITION* Marva Hicks-Taha, MJ's co-singer here, passed away recently, 9-17- 2022. At age 66, May she rest in peace. And may she be able to join MJ in a celestial duet.
To say you got fired is one thing, but to say you got fired by Michael Jackson? .... those are bragging rights, and during a live performance. Oh yeah that's definitely a story for a cookout.

Exactly, people are absolute imbeciles and brain dead morons. They spread inaccurate information and fictional stories before doing research. It's funny how they claim to be Mj fans yet don't recognise that he said doggone like he did for countless other performances and on his songs. He literally says Brad what you gonna do to signal him to end the song because it went on an extra couple of bars. Nothing more nothing less. Brad even said in a interview that he doesn't know why it's made into something that it's not and that it was a non event which I already knew. Brad worked with mj from 1990-2008 on all of his tours, live performances and albums.
@@datopg0 To end the song. Simple as that. Brad worked with Mj from 91-08. Hes visible on countless MJ related footage around the 90s such as on the ghosts video, history tour rehearsals. He's seen in a studio along with MJ, Michael prince and Randy Jackson in 2005 when they was all working on beautiful girl - the footage is available on RUclips. It bothers me that Mj fans can easily believe fictional stories and info, clearly not done there homework. He says 'doggone' many times and also says it during the same concert he was so called fired and said jobgone; at the end of each song when he does the live improvisation to end the Song. He was simply asking Brad to end the Sony because it went on for a few extra bars. He even says this during his interview with the mjcast also available on RUclips. He says it's a non event and he doesn't know people say that which is obviously true anyway. I already knew this before the interview because if you know your MJ you'll know that Brad was one of his closest work colleagues and worked for him for almost 20 years. He also says 'brad' during heal the world 2002 apollo performance because the song at the end the 'you and for me' was going on for far too long.

Dude didn't get fired there were technical issues and MJ was just frustrated but needed to continue until the issue was resolved. MJ was a damn good performer and he's not going to let a technical issue outlast his passion to perform, unlike some artists today that give up a show at the first sign of trouble.
Not entirely true, Travis Scott never gave up at the first sign of trouble.
Also, unlike some artist today, Michael abused kids.
Travis Scott endangered the lives of his own fans. He also flat out refused to do a show after agreeing to it and costing the venue over $5mill in Saudi Arabia.
Now to address the MJ allegations, he was found not guilty on all counts. None of the evidence was even close to damning and he even won counter suits against two employees who claimed he did molest kids because they ended up getting caught in a lie.

So what did Mj mean when he said “Brad what are you gonna do”?
