  • A story of one family's loss to fentanyl poisoning.
Naloxone, the active ingredient in 4mg Narcan and higher dose 8mg Kloxxado, along with many generic versions, can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available for free. Google it.

It seems like anxiety is at the root of so many people who become addicted. I'm 70 years old and I've struggled with anxiety my entire life, it's a very unpleasant experience. When I was22 someone gave me a valium and it was the first time I was free of anxiety, it was a wonderful feeling. I get why people use drugs and alcohol.
I'm so glad I didn't let it become a habit because I know I have very little willpower. I'm grateful I hate the taste of alcohol. Any substance would be tough to kick, including over eating. We need to have compassion for ourselves and each other.

Definitely, government is responsible in a way. They cut off alot of pharmaceutical needs for people who needed help. I know because I've been there. I was cutting food for a dinner we had at home and I cut off part off my thumb. Not even that emergency with my blood still pouring from cut was not enough for any pain meds. Was just given Tylenol. Government will not help. They know where the drugs are coming from, all the way from China. As a native who understands the deceit of government, just want to let you know I understand your frustration and betrayal of the system.

I pray for God's hand over you , to protect and guide you through this bad phase in your life, ...you can and will get through this, and one day look back and say WOW, I made it, and one day you will help others.

She is not a great speaker, just a sad and frustrated adult rant something beyond her control.
Sorry to say this, but you cannot just use those wars to justify our action and demand others to heed our demands. They are nations with different way of living. We LOST Afghanistan, we only make the Muslim world hate us for our action in the middle east. Fentanyl was also illegally manufactured in China set up by the international mafias/cartel, our recent hostility with CCP has cause them to not care about those fentanyl illegally distributing outside of China as it is not their problem, they don't have to bow down to us so irresponsible mothers like you can play ignorance.
I think this mother is completely naïve thinking that eradicating the cartel will stop the fentanyl overdose, the Mexicans cartel was destroyed, break up only to create even more cartel. What we need is acceptance, we need to be more open on taking drugs rather than being forced to keep it a secret. Your daughters made a choice of not telling you about her drug abuse, it must has been something traumatic to start such activity. You should understand this, YOU FAILED as a mother, you must have did something to make her drug habit a secret. We have to be open about drug abuse, accept and help instead of shame. Drug shouldn't be illegal as long as the use is controlled.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. James 1:14-15
There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would. Galatians 5:16-17

this mom is a really smart mom. the second she found out her daughter was on drugs she shipped her away to a facility and only visited her on the weekends. she did not take it lightly and acted fast. her daughter was on sports again and doing great after that. I love everything else she says. im autistic and my biological mom is all over the news for being arrested hundreds of times. when I was a teenager I got lost in my own world. People could tell there was something wrong with me. my teachers, family, ect did nothing. in my early 20s I snapped out of it and became normal again. I diagnosed myself with autism in my early 30s. I saw psychriatrists about it and some of them didnt even let me finish talking. I've been diagnosed with schitophrenia, an anxiety disorder, some psychriastrists said there was nothing wrong with me despite my history of severe mental illness. AMERICANS ARE THE FIRST ONES WHO NEED TO PRIOEITIZE MENTAL HEALTH AND SPEND WAY MORE RESOURCES ON IT!!! it continues to get stigmatized and not even get addressed!! The mom is right there's a lot that Americans need to eradicate! other countries don't even have half our problems and surveys show people lead a higher quality of life in those countries. now we're having a fetynol crisis(among the zillions of other ones) and as the Mom says it continues to get ignored!!

As much as I wish the country would take a stand with Mexico, there is nothing in it for our politicians. Mexico doesn’t have fossil fuels for us to buy and make deals for like the countries in the Middle East. Maybe it will take families like Marrissa’s to do what the government won’t. I believe our president has a son going through addiction and he passed the law the first day in for the system to carry on with letting the people from outside our boarder gain access to stop the title 42 but our government had a judge like the red ppl had it stopped and want to have control to stop people gaining access to health care and education so now people will have no choice but to gain access illegal ways and they will bring drugs to survive and our drug problem will continue for ever and the government wants to kill us off especially the blue ppl we are trash to the rich ppl basically it's all bad and we should pass a petition to get drugs legalized and have it sold safely to of age people with true reasons at a higher cost not for free anymore and taxed to make money bc our country is suffering bad and going straight down hill. Plus if ppl had to pay regular prices to not die they would most likely not consume it being there's a chance they will die would denture them but the prices are very very low like one dollar a pill for a death sentence it's a shame it has got out of control and I'm worried for my own kids understand I have five kids and they have already been informed of these deadly drugs and I'll keep on doing my work to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best and may the women passed away from this death sentence pill and not even a drug anymore she may rest in peace and hope her family the most beautiful and strong sides to continue this fight and help rally the ppl to help to get this death sentence put down for good . And being the drugs are coming from China we should america stop buying good from China and put a stop to the government working with chica bc they are the real enemy not the ppl fleeing their country from the drugs and gangs who are lined up at the border with new born babies freezing to death burning plastic to stay warm this is not good for our future and I hope the president Mr. Biden runs again next yr to continue his fight to save this country and our fellow border towns like Mexico . Also last but not least America should become co existent with Mexico and we should be named americona and it should be we're all one country and the cartel needs to be moved over next to China so they can keep on doing what they do best . Just my opinion maybe I'm wrong but hell if it's never tried who will have a chance no I no us not anyone we all are suffering period and fyi COVID came from China if I'm correct so why are they allowed to come here ?? They should be banned not our ppl living next door if they gave us COVID we would have had it way back when the cartel first started many many yrs ago so do the math it's not mathing!!! And wake up we need to support our president and help him to fight the battle with Congress who truly has power basically and they don't care about us they only care of they money and they will continue to hurt everyone below and next to them. Amen sending prayers for everyone and sorry such long post . I'm tired of the crap out kids face and us humans were all like living inhumane and we need help from the government to get it together ASAP!!

Naloxone is the active ingredient in Narcan and is also available in many generics as a nasal spray. In fact, the brand name Kloxxado delivers a higher dose of naloxone than Narcan (Kloxxado-8mg per dose, Narcan-4mg per dose). Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available in the brand name Narcan or generic versions available for free.
It is important to recognize that Naloxone is the drug, Narcan is just a brand name. Whenever someone uses the word "Narcan" in place of "naloxone", they're devaluing all the other equally effective brand options and promoting a specific pharmaceutical company.

Alternate perspective: The issue isn't Fentanyl- that's just the symptom of the underlying problem. The issue is why anyone takes drugs to start with. What parents really need to know is what warning signs to look for that their child has a potential for doing drugs, prevention rather than trying to address something after the problem started or got out of control. Narcan isn't the answer, it's a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

What a powerful, clear and educated message to everyone. I’m sorry this mama had to go through this but her message is loud and clear to me. Thank you❤️

Politicians aren’t addressing it, probably because somehow they are profiting or their donors are profiting.

Out of all of these videos I've seen, this is the most powerful representation of fentanyl I've heard. This needs so much more awareness.

Ma'am, would you please run for public office? Your passion to this epidemic is out of this world, and I believe you are what we need at the highest level of government to effect change. God bless you.

“I thought she was cured” is probably THE most naïve thing I’ve heard a non-addict say. Rehabs & NA should really offer counseling & education for parents & loved ones.

I am truly so sorry for your loss. You are absolutely right. Fentanyl is absolutely mass destruction. I truly hope that you are able to find peace and comfort. God bless you and your beautiful grandchildren.

Drug dealers are not terrorists. Humans like and want drugs. But the black market exists because of our failed war on drugs. All black markets have a trail of deaths because that’s the only way to settle a dispute. If you kill one drug dealer another will take his place. That’s never going to change.
You’re right about the education part. That’s the only way that we can change things.

Very well said. Yes, it's incredible that this is not being dealt with properly when so many people are dying of fentanyl poisoning.
