You’re the only channel I watch that I’m not excited to see another post from.. but, to honor what these parents have gone through, I will listen to their tragic story. My condolences to all the grieving souls..

This could easily have been my son..he started with pills..moved up to smoking heroin..then shooting .from 18 to 26 years old...it took me out emotionally and physically..I'm sure there were many times he almost overdosed could have got got fentanyl...went to rehab twice..first time. He lasted a few months..second time after years apart..he went in again and had an epiphany in rebab...he came out . Started working out with his younger brother....got certified as a personal trainer..is working full time. Living on his own.. .is into nutrition..he has been sober almost 3 years...WE are blessed...❤❤❤

I am so incredibly happy for YOU and your family! I pray in three years I can say the same as you. My son never shut up he always snorted. He’s in Outpatient Treatment right now and tomorrow he gets his second monthly shot. ❤❤❤✌🏻
@@Act4MEN I absolutely agree with your comment! My son has been fighting this disease for 18 years. Since his first overdose that happened 3-1-2005, and at that time we had absolutely no idea he was using heroin. But then it was heroin. Now it’s straight Fentanyl. We’ve never left his side and have tried right along with him to help him in any in every way we can. I didn’t necessarily know, but as we found out living through it turns out addiction is quite the family disease. It affects each of us.
Like you said, we need to stand beside and hold up our family’s addicted one, because surely the world isn’t invested in them, WE ARE! Peace to you! ✌🏻 🫶
You are blessed. My son died of a heroin overdose when he relapsed. How I wish I had known he was smoking heroin. How I wish I had put him in rehab again. He’s been gone 2 months. Toxicology can take up to 6 months. The medical examiner said it looks like fentanyl.

I am very sorry to hear about your son passing. I OD'd twice on the night of June 25th 2021 as a result of Fentanyl and while I survived, I know many friends who did not. Fentanyl is just an awful substance that is killing more young people than Covid.

They LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH even if you may not think so or realize it, and us internet family who don’t even know you care so much too and don’t want anything happening to you (or anyone else with the opportunity of seeing these stories and has a chance to stay away from making such bad decisions!)

@@yvonamayvei9208 Thank you for the kind words. I try to always appreciate being alive because there were so many times beyond just those 2 times that I could have very easily died. My life is not where I want it, but keeping things in perspective is important. I hope anyone else reading this who struggles with a substance abuse problem is able to find treatment.

The world is listening. We are starting to pay attention. As a counselor and parent coach in Australia, I am using testimonies such as Sebastian’s to educate parents and adolescents. I’d love to give his parents a big hug. I will pray for Genesis memory to live on. You are beautiful people.
Pain is the problem. Anyone can be in terrible pain and seek relief for it. I fear being in constant terrible pain. It scares me that doctors have also stopped prescribing pain killers because of their liability.

oh my god this was probably the saddest story of them all so far 😭 he was a hard worker with a good heart & a generous spirit who hurt his back in an accident & instead of going to the doctor this happened 😭 these poor parents... i can't even imagine the regret they must feel for letting that "friend" keep coming around their son & for not making their son go to a doctor for his back. -real friends won't sell you drugs, they'll bring tissues & an ear for breakups or if you're sad, they'll come sit with you or distract you when you're depressed, & they'll personally drive you to the clinic or ER if you're sick or hurt. -he wasn't a friend at all, he was an opportunist, looking to make a buck off of him. i hope that "friend" realizes that $100 wasn't even worth 1/10,000th of this kid's life, & has to live every day facing the unrelenting gravity of what he has done to him & to his family. -he didn't have to & shouldn't have had to die like this; he had a lot of life left to live.
Sebastian was a special kid and the world lost something amazing with his passing. I'm so sorry to his family. ♡ Such a beautiful soul.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s heartbreaking that out of all of the stories I’ve watched, none of the victims were trying to take Fentanyl. They just wanted to feel better. No parent should have to go through this. I hope sharing his story gives you comfort that you’re bringing awareness to this nightmare that plagues so many countries!

Sadly a huge percentage of them most likely did know it was laced with fentanyl, a lot of people especially younger ones think they are invincible or think it could never happen to them but it can and it will.

@@mtio2807 I have showed them some, but I talk it with them all the time. Trust me, we are an open book, I’m a recovering addict, clean since 2012 and thank god fentanyl wasn’t around like now or Id be good as gone, my children know about my addiction as well.
@@RickyL305 thank you❤️ I pray my kids hear my voice when they are put in this situation! My daughter is at college and is offered Adderoll (may be spelled wrong) on a daily basis, she calls me all the time to talk about how easy it is to get pills on campus. So scary 😟

Adderall here in Tampa Bay Florida in which my son is your daughter's age had found it containing fentanyl in the Tampa bay area. Many deaths from fentanyl crossed with Adderall has resulted in more deaths here between high school to college students than anywhere else. But it is also known from the DEA maps that Tampa bay has the most cartel dealers on "planted" here than any other part of the country itself unfortunately. It is often in reports on the weekly news on television. Adderall is one of the main drugs laced with fentanyl being one of many drugs sold as well as oxycodone aka Percocet, cocaine and even marijuana is now being laced with it now of days.

The hardest loss for a parent is a child… I pray none of us ever have to bury a son or daughter. My son was s struggling with addiction and is currently going to Rehab. I’m praying he goes and get clean and that I never have the suffer this type of pain. This pain never goes away and never gets better. My heart goes out to all these living families..

Narcan is a brand-name. The active ingredient is naloxone. Naloxone is available from other manufacturers as well.
I'm so truly sorry for your loss. I'd give anything to change that for you. 💟 You're right, narcan saves lives. I've been in recovery for 4yrs now and became a trainer of narcan for this reason. I give away boxes of this live saving, miracle drug every single day and see people walking around who are still here only because of me doing this. I'll never stop. Every medicine cabinet in America should contain narcan. Not all overdose victims are addicts, it can happen to ANYONE, and fentanyl isn't the only medication that can kill you. DON'T BE ONE OF THE MANY FAMILIES WHO WISH THEY WOULD HAVE HAD IT. You don't need a prescription to get naloxone from your local pharmacy and there should be NO charge. So many people still don't know this, it amazes me that we aren't shouting this from the rooftops! Such a simple, easy, FREE precaution to take to save a life! I carry narcan everywhere I go and there have (sadly) been many times I was glad I had it.

I've watched all the fentanyl poisoning videos on this channel and always felt so bad for the grieving families left behind. Sebastian's family though was the first one that made me cry. I can feel the anguish in their voices especially the father. Sebastian's brother tearing up while saying that it's "us against the world" really got to me because i'm super close to my brother so I felt his pain.
May eternal rest grant unto Sebastian and the Lord let perpetual light shine upon him.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dear son. I can see the heartbreak in your eyes and I cried for you. I wish I could give you all a big hug. My stepson OD’d for the third time 2 days ago. He survived because his sister had narcan. She saved him again. We all fear losing him.

My son use to be an heroin addict and by the grace of God he helped and healed my son but its still a fear of mine that he might relapse and now since this fentanyl can be in any and every thing I worry about something like this story here and as innocent as it truly is that Sebastian was just needing something to help the pain in his back and it ended up costing him his life. This truly breaks my heart. 💔

The lethal dose of fentanyl is less than a grain of salt, so yes, it can only take half a pill ☹

So sad. I remember my friends friend died of a drug overdose. I'm happy that this kid is remembered for his good and not the addictions. ♡ I hope my friend gets off this drug as well. I haven't hung out with him in a long time because of it.

There is no loss more profound than the loss of a child. None. We lost our son in 2013, he was 28 years old, and he died of an "accidental overdose". Something has to be done about the FENTANYL that is pouring over the border. This is like a silent war that China and the cartels have raged against our people.

My family too has been impacted by fentanyl and I wish so badly that somehow it could be wiped off the planet to never kill again. Sadly, that's not realistic but maybe with time, someway, somehow we can do something about it so no one else has to feel that pain of loss due to this crap.

As a teenager, I never experimented. When did this become the norm?
Everyone feels bad for the parents, which believe me when my brother past I gained so much respect for my parents and what they were going through, losing their baby. What people don't talk about though are the siblings, they're isn't even a word for it but I can tell you from personal experience it's something you never get over. My brother passed away 20 years ago and it still feels like it was yesterday. He was my first friend, a friend that never turned his back on me and me him. We were almost 3 years apart and we had a middle brother also but me being the oldest and him the youngest for some reason got along more. Our middle brother was more like our father and maybe that was why but even with that said it affected both of us very different but a lot a like in some ways. I guess what I'm saying is feel bad for the parents absolutely but don't forget about the siblings because the parents eventually have to be strong for their other children but the siblings still hurt everyday as it was the first day😥

I notice denial is a common theme amongst addicts and caregivers, especially. There is no shame in recognizing drug addiction as a real and serious problem. With this, I feel awareness and knowledge will increase, thus effecting change.

To all those struggling with mental health and depression,;
It doesn't just fade away, but you can definitely learn to keep those depressing thoughts at bay.
I know Sebastian didn't take the pills because of his depression, but his back pain.
But just want everyone to know: Just a grain of fentanyl can kill anything in it's path, hence why the EMTs were not wanting to go near it, even with gloves it can still drive through the plastic gloves.
