Konappu Bandara's generation with references,
Chulawamsa, Chapter 94 , stanza one states that Konappu Bandara was “ a Prince born to Solar dynasty born in Gagasiripura (Gampola)”.According to the same source Senerat was his own brother.
The ola leaf “Ku” of a certain copy of Dumbara Vitti Potha also gives the exact geneaolgy of Kng Senerat. According to this source Senalankadhikari Senerat was the son of Menikthlaka Wanni Unnahe ( King Wanni Bhuvanekabahu).Through Senalalankadhikari, descends Senerat Bandara.
These Kings ruled making Pallepiti Nuwara their capital, a town established by Gampola Wickramabahu . The King himself was also known as Pallepiti Rajjuru Sami.
According to “Gampola Ithihasya” by Varasambodhi Thero Peradeni Virasundara was a son of Urulawatu Gampahe Virasundara Bandara.His mother was known as Urulawatte Bandige. Rajavaliya identifies him as Virasundara Mudali who belonged to the Peradeniya Clan. This is based on legends
(1) A sannasa given by Senerat to Alahakoon Appuhami which is preserved in Peradeniya University Library reveals that he was in the family line of Senalankadhikara Senevi of Gampola.
(2) A certain copy of Dumbara Vitti Pota mentions that the King’s relatives were Royal clans from Dumbara.
(3) Culawamsa identifies Senerat as King Vimaladharmasuriya’s own brother. Rajavaliya specifically states that he was the King’s brother, the son of his maternal auntie (mother’s younger sister).
(4) The 23rd stanza of the ola manuscript Senerat Rajatumata Stuti calls King Senerat, “Sahassakara Kula Senevirat Raja”, which means King Senerat who belongs to Solar Race.
(5) The ola manuscript Sri Rajasinghe Warnana calls Senerat’s son King Rajasinghe the Second as “Rivi Kula Rajasinghe”. This proves that Rajasinghe belonged to the Solar Race.
(6) An ola manuscript about the marriage of King Vira Parakrma Narendrasinghe with a Monarawila Princess describes both King Vimaladharamasuriya the Second and Vira Parakrama Narendrasinghe as icons of the Solar race.These Kings were King Senerat’s grand son and great grand son respectively.
As per my research the line is as below,
Vanni Bhuvanekabau-> Senalankadhikara-> Menawara Wickramabahu of Gampola-> Artanayake Epa->Arawa Bandara->Hatan Bandara (Hatan Nayiide)-> Menawara Tunayama
Menawara Tunyama was given Kapuru Devi, a duaghter of Senasammata Wickramabahi as a political alliance. Then the line of Senasammata Wickramabahu's son Jayavira Astana's line and Kapuru Devi's Menawara line ruled Kandyan kingdom alternatively or paralleled
S. Wickramabahu-> Jayavira Astana the first -> Jayavira the second or Karalliyadde first-> Karalliyadde second-> Kusumasana Devi
the line of Menawara from Menawara Tunaya and Kapuru Devi-> eldest Vira Wickrama-> eldest ? vira Wickrama->Jamasinghe was most probably his son ( his mother Dona Maria was Karalliyadde's sister and other sister Dona Margida married King Dharmapala)
Urulawatte Virasundara or Vijayappu Kadure Bandara was a younger son of Menawara Tunayama, therefore his progeny was considered as a Bandarawaliya. He married Urulawatte Bandige or Gampola Leelawathi Kumari Adassin ( this has been derived fro Dumbara Vitti potha ola)
Their son was Peradeni Weerasundara Bandara and he married two Dunuwila Bandiges , his cousins of Irugal Family. Konappu was the son of the elder sister and Senerat was the son of younger sister (there were more sons and daughters)
Konappu killed Jamasinghe and abdicated his son Dom Joao with his grand ma Dona Maria , therefore got rid of the senior members of his Menwara line. Then he was the next in line from that side. He married Kusumasana from the other side and established the royal line
Therefore, Kusumasana Devi came from Senasammata Wickramabahu's male line and Konappu came from one of the Senasammata Wickramabahu's daughter Kapuru Devi's line.
Dumbara Vitti Potha confirms Senerat came form the line of Senalankadhikari of Gampola era. Therefore what the Rajavaliya, Culavamsa and Shyamopali Warnana mention is correct.
Dumbara Vitti potha is available in the Colombo Museum Library and it is different to Dumbara Kadayim potha.

@@maddagedonroshan970 Vimaladharmasuriya's mother as I believe is coming from a family of dancers . He, I believe is a son of Yakadadoli of Virasundara Bandara.I have read it in a book which contained reports from Dutch. Further, There are some deeds given by Vimaladharmasuriya mentioning his mother was one 'Vimalu' from a village close to Balana. If it is true King Senerath may have had no royal lineage whatsoever. You should look for those as well. I have never heard of authentic sannas from king Senerath. But there is plenty issued by Rajasinghe II. That looks strange.
@@prasasea No, there is a geneaological inquiry for Prince Kumara Astana, the son of Prince Vijeypala Astana by Princess Irugal Bandige preserved in the Hague Archive.
ThEnglish translation is available in RASC, colombo. I have a copy but it is in SL but currently I'm in the UK.
If you read it you will find that Irugal Bandige was a cousin of Senerat, from mother's side.

After her death King Vimaladharmaduriya's mother was buried in Asgiri Vihara premises and the king was also burried there as well. This was a royal cemetry and if they were not royal , society would not allow it.
Prince Senerat had a royal tutor, if he was a son of a common villager he will not get a royal tutor.
Portuguese and Dutch propogated these things to insult the enemies, these two heroic kings.
I know about the story of Vimalu, probably she was just a lady who helped the ling ans wss consodered in a mother's position, liks Upasika Visaka was considerd the mother of Mugara in Buddhist text.
