Exeter finally picks up its 1st league win of the season after 9 matches & goes 2 points clear of now bottom team Newcastle who've somehow yet to literally pick up a single bonus point in 9 matches (compared to 6 for Exeter), and also already have a terrible -204 points difference (compared to the next worst of -67 for Exeter)!
That first try for Dan Frost looked like a gift but what really made it was the cute little quick line out throw from Tom Wyatt to Stu Townsend that enabled him to put in the downfield kick and get the Gloucester line out on the 5m line. Pity the highlights didn't show that.
It's a shame Slade didn't play is career at 10. He was never quite big enough or fast enough for an international 12 or 13, but his running and kicking skill set would have been world class as a 10.
I totally agree with what you’re saying with slade being a 10, however I do think he is just big enough for a 13 if he is used in the correct way, and utilise his ability to be a secondary player maker and kicking option like other top international team do. I just think England don’t use him effectively (what a surprise…)
Agree to some some extend, but a 12 or 13 doesn’t always have to be big. Some of the best international centres haven’t been big eg BOD just depends on style of play
@@Maffer_ the top centers they have to be big and/or fast - BOD was a bit small but had surprising pace and could just slice through teams with his excellent balanced running. Slade doesn’t really have either size or speed, so he’s at international level he’s an additional playmaker, but he is missing one of the two key attributes of the world class centers.
Always the way….we do the hard bit and beat the champions away from home but can beat a winless Exeter…typical Gloucester, no excuses, basically first XV as well

@@dgoodall slade has been poorly used by england since 2015
Title race is on, lads. Can't believe we actually won. 😂

Well played .. sadly Glos back to their old habits .
Embarrassing
Glos No. 20 is not going to enjoy the review of this game 🫠
Yes, Albert Tuisue. He's absolutely useless, can't tackle, and always commits terrible penalties.
