Thank you! Not only did you show me how the belt is replaced, you also mentioned something important, which is to check the warranty! I found out that my Chamberlain 2500D (circa 2004) had a lifetime motor and BELT warranty! called Chamberlain and they are sending me a belt FOR FREE!
Excellent question. The easy way is to measure the height of your garage door. If you garage door is under 7 feet tall you are good with a 7 foot belt. If you have a 7' 6" tall door or higher then you will require an 8 foot belt. Hope this helps.
Hello Jerry. The model number designation for LiftMaster will usually be something like the 1280, 2280, or 3680. Do you have any of these number designation visible?
@@jerrymorice3757 The number might be in the front where the light cover is located. You can send the images to my email. You can visit my "About" page on my RUclips channel.
Hello. Thank you for your feedback. It's not one of my better videos. In fact I even cringe when I go back to look at it. I was just starting out at this RUclips thing. But I do have a shorter video on this same process.

Your video is horrible. Stop talking so much. Have clear video of the job being done and as little talk as possible. You have to remember most people watching the video while in the middle f actually doing the job. They don’t want to hear all the talk. This video should be 2 minutes tops not almost 20. I’m not trying to be rude I’m only offering the truth to try and help you.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I completely agree, this is not my best video. Since then I have been working on the process of making better videos. I do have shorter videos that show the belt replacement process a lot faster. Here's a link to one of them.

Great video Santiago! I enjoy watching these videos!
How do i know the length of the belt do i have to measure sprocket to sprocket or the rail? Or the model number of the motor determine the length?

great video santiago!
The connector that connects the belt to the trolley carriage is called the master link parts
🤣 You are correct. I couldn't remember at the moment.
Thats just a rebranded LiftMaster 1280R which is a very good unit. The new LiftMaster belt openers have the “D” shaped threaded shaft on the trolley.
Yeah my belt it’s done and brittle! Is that the reason why it only opens an inch and stops? Ordered the part and hoping it fixes it…
Hello! Yes that could be a symptom. I would also inspect your garage door springs and the garage door balance.
@@sosgds awesome thanks!
How do I know what size belt to order. I have a lift master 41A5507-b

For such nice praise in the comment sections I was sadly disappointed. Two sets of commercials and I haven't learned a thing.

Thanks for the feedback. Got a shorter sequel coming soon.
Pretty as your face is Santiago, time is money and I would rather you cut the verbage and showed the belt mechanism!
Thanks for the feedback. I do have another video that offers a shorter perspective. Hope it helps.
