After she gets breast implants she barley works, maintains an expensive lifestyle, and is about to be fired
When she moves in with Michael she verbally abuses him, forces him to buy outside his means to keep her in style, she forces him to lie for her during her fraudulent "wrongful termination" suit in which she reads his diary and exposes a scathing report she once made of him
Michael has to get a second job to pay for her, etc
Jan used Michael and was an emotional abuser...going out of her way to make sure he knows that he's beneath her and therefore should be grateful and worship her for putting up with him...making him feel like he can't exist without her...a classic domestic abuse trope.

If that happened to me, I would've bolted LOL. The most awkward thing is when u go to someone's house and either their SO or their parents will yell at them and it's so uncomfortable to watch. AND to be the one in that situation. My mom yells at me all the time for no reason, and embarrassed me when, on my 15th birthday, she INSISTED on shopping with me and my friends (all i wanted to do was go to the beach and mall with my 2 best friends for my bday). Then, she proceeded to yell at me when i asked if i could go to another store in the mall because i didn't have any interest in that store. She threw a tantrum, and called me selfish, in front of my friends. I wanted to go home, it was pretty low on my list of best birthdays. Other than the fact that nobody showed up to my sweet 16 :'} I'm never having a party again lol. I wanted to try it for the first time in 5 years but it didn't work. Never again. I'm sorry for rambling OMG

Yes! It's my fav episode. Jan thinking Pam and Michael were an item with Angela chiming in..I see the way you look at him..Dwight showing up with his baby sitter. If you notice Jan is putting Michael down. With the glass screen and how he heard the ice cream truck, the way he ate his steak...I always thought she was such a snob.

I don't remember which one it is but Jan is asleep on the bed and she is all spralled out taking up the entire bed. I never liked Jan. I looooove the actress for Jan cause she so perfectly nailed Jan's spiral into pure insanity without being over the top. Like for Dinner Party aka my fave episode, there was so much chemistry and riffing between the two and you could literally see why Jan and Michael were so codependently dysfunctional together. Like the scene where they discuss the sliding glass door, I understood the frustration of both sides. Amazing writing and acting all around. I really wish they kept Jan around. Her character was hilarious and the scenes between her and Michael were always golden.
