Edit: I have been informed vigils are now commonly held before the search for a missing person has been ended. Or maybe the guy below me is wrong. You decide which one is more likely. She's awkward because she lied about her candles having been used at the vigil. There was no vigil, since the girl was found. Therefore, her candlemaking business is not doing as well as she's portraying it.

Jan dancing to the Hunter's song is hysterical to me, always crack me up. Her acting to pretentiously enjoying and dancing like no one is watching is maybe the best thing I have liked in the whole show.
Michael drove Jan and Ryan to the point of no return. Ryan sought out to get revenge on Michael and those who crossed him, and Jan just went crazy being with Michael. Michael is THAT powerful.

I haven't watched any video essays on Jan, but I'm just realizing something. After moving in with Michael and being unemployed, they show Jan sleeping when Michael comes home and he says that she won't be awake for hours. When I lived at home I wanted to avoid being around my parents as much as possible. So, I would adopt an alternate lifestyle of staying up all night and finally going to sleep at sunrise. This would allow me to be active and awake at opposite times as my parents I believe Jan is doing the same thing here. It seems like she's making sure she had as little interaction time as possible with Michael by completely changing her sleeping schedule and avoiding him that way.
I love Jan, she’s such a well written character. She was this strong powerful woman, but as the series went on, Michael wore her down to the point where she was absolutely insane.
@The1Americanpride1 lmao that's sexist and clearly untrue.. if anything her career was the last thing keeping her sane. Losing that, after her marriage- and only having a relationship in her life was what drove her crazy

The actress who played Jan is severely underrated. The work she did here is ah-MAZING. Who agrees?
Why'd I read 'ah-MAZING' in Kelly's voice? Lol
she has a very nice singing voice too
Absolutely agree. Actors like her are under the radar, but hold everything else up.
Shut up skank, that's such a dumb comment, how bad to you want attention??
She is incredible in Magnolia
I love how early on Jan seems rather normal, but you can tell she's uneasy on the inside. Then Michael completely breaks her.
"Jan made me breakfast this morning. Well, she bought the milk. It's soy."
- comedy fucking geniuses
The real prize
Domestic bliss.
the fact she also liked dressing him as a schoolgirl makes this really unsettling
I freaking love Jan. You see her slowly descend into madness, egged along by Michael. The complexity and messiness of their relationship was so well thought out. They pushed each other’s buttons in the worst ways. I wish there was more of Jan! Props to the actress for not breaking character during so many shots, including the infamous SNIP SNAP in her face
I love how Melora improvised on the dinner night scene when she said “then that makes me the devil” while making a funny gesture 😂
Am I the only one that just really loves Jan’s voice?
I love her voice as well. When she’s not shouting it’s really soothing
Me too!

@@braytongleason7033 no
I was looking for this comment! I always thought she had a great voice! Yeah the Astrid video was excessive but I'll admit that she can sing!
At first I really liked Jan, she seemed like a normal respectable boss, completely sane. Over time she becomes really toxic and obsessed with Michael and is clinically insane...
And sexually abused Michael.
when was she obsessed with michael?
The look on Jims face when he needed a breather from her workspace cracks me up everytime omg 5:52
8:07 Her response to the girl being found makes it sound like she had something to do with her going missing in the first place.
nice observation
whaaaaaaaat
It's because she wants to make more money by profiting from the missing
Edit: I have been informed vigils are now commonly held before the search for a missing person has been ended. Or maybe the guy below me is wrong. You decide which one is more likely.
She's awkward because she lied about her candles having been used at the vigil. There was no vigil, since the girl was found.
Therefore, her candlemaking business is not doing as well as she's portraying it.
@@Infinite_Jester Did you even pay attention? They HAD (past tense) a vigil. A vigil can be held before a girl is found, you fucking idiot.

The lyrics of Hunter's song: "She took me by the hand, made me a man, that one night.. you made everything alright. So raw, so right-" He's made a song about his affair with Jan. Not only that, shes playing out for everybody to listen to AND going for Jim, another young-looking guy 😂😂

Sure you did
that's how Michael Scott read it too
I thought it said “BUST OF JAN”
Ya perv!
We didn't see Jan casually fold that camcorder away,
It's to watch Michael, so he can improve on his form.
This would allow me to be active and awake at opposite times as my parents
I believe Jan is doing the same thing here.
Where is this Michael's fault
Gacha Films how is it Michael’s fault. Jan is insane
@@patrickpilchowski4207 Agreed. Jan's already insane. Michael is actually one of the victim.
