    I love these tips! We are in central Texas and the heat shortens our camping season so much. At night, it also works to wear very little and put damp wash cloths on your abdomen, thighs, etc. with the fan blowing on you. It will cool you down pretty quickly so you can sleep. I learned that when my parents' AC went out and the temps were in the 100's. Thanks for the great videos! I'm about to check out your fishing videos as my kiddos have developed a strong interest in it. Right now, they are happy to just cast with a weight and a bobber, but eventually they are going to want to have a hook and bait. I have no idea what I would do if they actually caught something.

      No problem! Hahaha nice… yeah any damp cloth and a breeze I’ll tell ya! 😎 And sweeet! 🎣😃 Fishing is the absolute best and you live in probably the best bass fishing state in the country! Idk how old the kids are, but I’d be happy to recommend some gear for them to get started or answer any questions you may have. You can check out the fishing for beginners playlist we have up and there are a lot of videos where I try to give tips or I was trying to teach Jaime how to fish 😁 Thanks for watching hope the videos help ☺️🤙🏽

    My cousin takes along cooling sprays and wipes that are meant for hot flashes. She discovered how well they work when camping with her mother-in-law who was going through menopause.

      Wow that’s interesting! 😃 Similar concept I suppose to the wet cotton bandannas, little moisture on the skin… breeze hits it… ahhhhhh 😊

    Love all the great tips… Thank you! The only one that is absolutely not relevant in some circumstances is camping near water in Florida. If you have children or dogs with you, make sure there’s good distance between you and the water. I’m a native Floridian and I’ve grown up with them, so I completely understand how to deal with alligators appropriately. There’s also the issue with snakes for all ages, but we’re not even gonna talk about that! Lol I simply try to position myself for success. 😂🥰😳

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +1

      Thanks! 😊 Really appreciate the nice comment. And lol FLORIDA!? Oh yeah that’s not smart there that’s for sure. 🐊😂 Everything is always environment specific and the more you know about the environment you’re in, the more of an advantage you have. 😎 Thanks again, and thanks for watching. ☺️🤙🏽

    I do DAY camping in the southern Everglades. Has to be off-road, and no vehicles allowed. I use an electric metro scooter “towing” a shopping cart to hold everything, including a 2-man non-insulated pop-up ice fishing tent. Just 4 pounds!
    The heat can be absolutely brutal, and the only way to survive is to keep hosing yourself down with an electric shower head sitting in a 5-gallon bucket.
    The Everglades….so plenty of water!

    I have a large inflatable 8 person tent and I've taken to covering it with one of those semi-reflective grey/silver heavy-duty tarps. Simultaneously reflects away heat from the sun when it's hot and holds in more heat at night when it's cold... And helps keep the tent dry if it rains, this tent is a pain to dry off unfortunately.

    I admittedly cheat a bit. I used a battery powered Arctic Air fan. Little bit of ice in the bottom, it becomes a mini AC.

      Love the frozen water bottles. If you have the space, a bigger tent fan sitting on the floor pointed at you with the frozen water bottles behind it. 🥶😎

    Those foil tarps make it HOTTER under there.
    Vloggers have done tests.

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +4

      Haha you should do your own test! 😃 They’re really built to keep you warm by wrapping yourself in it, but if it’s suspended above something with air passing under it all it’s doing reflecting the sun. 😎

    Here are my 5 tips:
    1. Try camping Spring/Fall fir best weather.
    2. Keep mi eofi er towels near the tent with an old igloo of melted ice.
    3. Absolutely no sex in the tent unless money is ibvolved. Its too hot!
    5. Wear a Dallas Cowboys visof and wet it for instant relief.

      @@WhereWeWild From what I read, it seems that Black wicks away the heat quicker than white which is meant to reflect. I'd need to see it explained scientifically, but in layman's terms to better understand it.

      @WhereWeWild  Год назад +3

      @@RobertsBulgaria Yeah I’d love to see that explained too haha I was always told my whole life that black pulls in the sun and heat, and light colors help reflect it.
