    @MichaelPena many thanks for your awesome feedback, for some reason RUclips have blocked your comment and I can’t reply hopefully you receive this message. RUclips have done this a few times before to me under community guidelines but all the viewers comments were innocent. It’s so annoying .

    At what temperature did you smoke the roe?

    • @thefoodalchemist
      @thefoodalchemist  5 лет назад +1

      Hi William I 'm 100% about the temperature but I know it's a hot smoke so I'm guessing it to be around the 150 degree celcius range or slightly higher, thanks for your question as it has prompted me to buy a thermometer 👍

    What you are calling the stomach is the gizzard, which has to be cut and cleaned, mullet are the only fish that has a gizzard.

    Did you clean out the gizzards?

    • @thefoodalchemist
      @thefoodalchemist  4 года назад

      Yes my friend because they can be gritty inside, if you have tried them they are really tasty

      the food alchemist I was curious cause you never mentioned it but here in the states I use them for catfish bait they are hard to beat in that job I love fish and fried chicken gizzards but fish gizzards or organs are a little strong for me
