It was smoked in the roe sack so looked very similar to your Bottarga but with that typical smoked dark amber colour on the outside. Very delicious.
Is the weight ratio here for a soft bottarga that slices easy but clogs up the grater? I prefer it more dried out. Wondering how much more weight or days in the fridge for bottarga that grates nice and dry.
It's like Caviar, kind of. Of course not the same but similar. Some decades ago I ordered Spaghetti with Bottarga (not knowing what it would be, althoughI'm Italian) in Sardinia and it was _*spectacular*_. . It's like the essence of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.
