I'm convinced the origin of this song centered around the composer(s) saying to themselves..."How can we take the same lyrics and musically give them a different feel over and over". You basically get the same lyrics in 3 different "feels" Celestial, Intense, Sexual. Words stay the same throughout....how they are delivered changes from beginning to end.
Similarly happens in Take Me Back To Eden where the chorus is sung 3 times, but each time in a different style/genre of musicality behind it.

As a 'musician', I can tell you for a fact that this thought process during the writing process absolutely happens. Often. In fact, it's all just a big experiment, really.

except they use pre-recorded vocal backing tracks for more than half of the live vocals, huge letdown, they use backing tracks for the other instruments too, really lame
@HaroldBallz as does just about every band nowadays. That's how music is now.
Also with the amount of layering that Sleep Token does, they absolutely have to use backing tracks. His voice is layered at least 3 times in most of their songs.
I tend to think of the word "amazing" as overused like Louis CK said, but in this case, it's underused. Sleep Token is breaking it all apart, like Korn did 30 years ago. Hell yes.

This whole album seems to be an experiment in "leave them wanting more." Fade outs, quick cut aways, parts of the song that are gone just a bit before you want them to be. I think they are playing into the longing and feeling of missing something or someone, making the audience feel a similar emotion as the lyrics are suggesting.
They did bring us back to the beginning.
The ending verse is the beginning verse :) (lyrically)

Vessel very much leans into his breaths with his vocals. It’s so much more apparent in their song Hypnosis. The breaths in that song are EVERYTHING!! More on the exhale than the inhale

Vessel's voice is soooooo good. I think he defaults to his shaky falsetto a bit too much in live performances but i let it slide cus his tone and lower/mid register is too good 😊

The Summoning. In the context of their body of work. The main part of the song is the toxic relationship. It’s the cycle of abuse. The ending is just the good part in the cycle. So they have to go through hell to get to the good part.

The last batch of lyrics are borrowed from earlier in the song while it's a completely different musical landscape.
You might really love their song "The Love You Want" from their previous record. It's a FANTASTIC song with a really smart bunch of arrangement choices. It starts somewhere. It ends somewhere. And - my word - it's a journey between those two points. Plus it's a GREAT music video (that isn't just some character on screen - you get to see the vocalist and the video I think speaks to the song but also a much larger theme within the Sleep Token world).
I think I'm definitely going to skip all of the initial payoffs in your videos the way you completely skipped the first chorus on this song, though!
