When you say "ooh" and then "STFU!" THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I AND MANY MORE FELT at that part. I've rewatched you reacting to that part about 30+ times. That's when you know someone loves a song... When they laugh at it because it's stupidly good. This band helped me find you. Chokehold has been on repeat when I found them a few days ago.

Im 45 and have been a Tool and Deftones fan since their first albums, Sleep Token have been added to my list of epic bands. i get shivers every time i listen to Summoning and it has not diminished at all since release.
I heard a rumor that 3 and 4 officially joined the band, so they might get more of a chance to shine themselves.

@@oceanshrine you were curious what people thought the symbolism of the characters was. Wanted to share my favorite interpretation of them. Saw a comment that said these were The Guardians of Sleep. Since Vessel is the mouthpiece of the god Sleep, I thought that was a pretty clever idea.

What really amazed me about this song was they threw song structure out the window. When you look at it there isn't a SINGLE verse. It's all refrains and chorus variations. And the end is just the beginning presented as funk instead of shoegazy metal. This song is a masterpiece
I have followed this band since Sundowning and they have continually evolved, there is really no one like them out there. What a wonderful journey to get to take part in.

Need your opinion. We’ve seen live videos of Chokehold now but no sign of The Summoning. Do you think with all of the layering going on that it may stretched them too thin to play it live?
@@oldfashion9823 Not at all! Vocally, there’s actually not as many layers as you might think and instrumentally, those ambient sounds and textures can easily be back tracked the way they do with their other songs. Tour packages are a very long winded plan that unfolds over the course of months, so their management could’ve just made a hasty decision on their set list for their current tour thinking that Chokehold was gonna be the single between the two that catches more traction.

So weirdly, the choruses and first clean bridge make me feel an old school Breaking Benjamin influence to it... Am I the only one? The shots from the back are the chorus that seem darker in attitude while the front shots seem more optimistic. “I wanted to see the other side” as it transitions to the back shot. That’s my best interpretation of the video without starting a Sleep Token cult. Also the focus in the video reminds me of an NFT, not sure if it’s the video or me but I hate today until I listen to this for the 5th time today
