"Karate" premiered at Yokohama Arena on December 12, 2015. Directed by Daisuke Ninomiya, the music video for "Karate" was released on 18 March 2016.
Moa Metal explained that the lyrics are about never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured. Furthermore, Yui Metal described how the dance moves were made to help express the message of the song, as most of the lyrics were in Japanese.
Moa Metal expressed that "Karate" is her favorite song in the 2nd album, explaining how "karate has a courtesy: "Start with a bow and end with a bow." This is something important we value in our lives, because we never forget courtesy and a feeling of gratitude wherever we go."
Su Metal described the white figures in the video as representing their former selves, expressing the desire to break down barriers by fighting themselves to move forward. Moa Metal added that "karate is obviously a form of martial arts that originated from Japan, so it’s something that she’s very proud of that they are now representing this culture that came from Japan through their music, and it’s a way for more people outside of Japan also to learn what karate is all about."

Almost every of their songs carried a very deep meaning. And a bit from it just a very simple stuff.
Legend of 1997 Head Banger should be next. The audience go totally nuts, Su sings her heart out and the two side girls, Yui and Moa just tear it up. Now if you want something with them a little different try BabyMetal performing Pain Killer and Breaking the Law with Rob Halford from Judas Priest. It's as awesome as it sounds.
Not quite sure which one we are doing next. 🤔 we will do it though for sure!

@@dicodec - They have no sound. Every song is unique. They have a team that writes and arranges their songs and even then a lot of them are co-written by a 3rd party to get a specific sound. For example Dragonforce co-wrote Road of Resistance and Arkadia.
@@Jordan-Ramses Are you sure? I have never heard of Dragonforce having a hand in Arkadia. I think it‘s just a similar style.
@@MacTaipan You are right, the only involvement DragonForce have had with any Babymetal song is the guitar arrangements for RoR, they had nothing at all to do with Arkadia.
I always says that if babymetal had like their own anime. Distortion would be the opening. Amazing song.

@@dicodec If it's ijime dame zettai (or idz in short) they were planned on a side stage but seeing the buzz they had some time ago with Gimme Chocolate they decided to move them on main stage some months (?) prior to that, daylight time, in front of metalheads waiting for the big names later, known for booing and sending things to bands they wouldn't like so they were wondering how they'd react to them. After a 5 songs setlist, idz being last, they got the crowd for them, asking for more after the last song. And they sold more merch than any other band playing at the festival 😉

In an interview the girls said they had watched a lot of movies about Karate before making their dance moves and the fly catch idea came from the movie "Best Boy" (kown as 'The Karate Kid' in the West)!!

Their history is really cool. They were part of an Idol Group of 10-12 girls and there was a producer Koba who got them to do a Metal subgroup with 3 girls. The girls had never heard Metal before. They're nothing like a traditional metal band. I think that is really cool how different they are.
That's pretty cool, bet they love metal now haha. Yup, they have aspect you dont really find in most metal bands. Super unique for sure.
I get chills literally every time I listen to either Karate, Megitsune, Road of Resistance, or Su's Tamashii no Rufuran. It's like inspirational ASMR. Whenever I'm feeling down I put on one of those songs, it gives me goose bumps and I just start to feel better

Like I said on the last video, every song is a journey and has a different sound. Rondo of Nightmare is a good song off their first album, Shanti Shanti Shanti or Pa Pa Ya are good songs off their latest album.

Hey, everyone is recommending *"Rondo of Nightmare (with Mischiefs of God intro)",* but the version of the video that had that title was removed recently. The video you're looking for is called *"BABYMETAL - Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan Black Night
",* it's the exact same video just with a different title, and I DEFINITELY recommend it too.
It's a Su-metal solo, which means that the two "backing" girls (for lack of a better word) don't sing in it. This allows them to take a small break and recover some energy in the middle of a show, and Yui and Moa also have "duo" songs while Su takes a break. These duo songs you'll see referred as "Black Babymetal" songs, as they tend to be heavier (and cuter) than the rest of the songs. They're better left for later, as they can sound jarring if you aren't used to BM's sound (think this song's "seiya!"vocals).

Most people think the song is about fighting evil but its about the girls fighting negatives within themselves. The three ghost figures are their inner demons like doubt, fear and selfishness that they must face and defeat. If you notice at the end when the three ghost looking things are unmasked, they are actually themselves, and you can see the reflection of each of the girls in the eyes of the opposing selves

Saw babymetal this last year when they came to Portland, such a good show! Bands like babymetal are why i love Japanese music so much. Japan has an amazing way of blending so many different genres into 1 song and have sound amazing. Another band thats good at that is [Fear and Loathing in las vegas] amazing blands and change ups. So many of there songs are good, 2 suggestions from them are [return to zero] with 7.4 mil views and. [let me hear] with 34mil views.

actually, the high-pitch part (yui moa) sounds really cool at live concert cz it actually is shout guide for fans to follow. at live concert, fans sang along and it really sounds cool.

There is a wonderful coincidence that you guys are just getting into BABYMETAL and one is already talking about Moa (the one who caught the fly) and eating things, hahaha! For reference, Moa is the foodie of the group. She can be asked anything and somehow bring it back to food. She is notorious for remembering places they've been based off the catering, but she'll say something to Su (the lead singer) about "remember this place, that is where they had awesome cheeseburgers?" and Su will not remember it. On the flip side, she will say "remember the venue when people all the way in the back were jumping around?" and Moa will have no clue about it.
One of their newest songs is titled "BxMxC", which some fans have lovingly taken to calling "Bring Moa Chicken", that's how much she brings up food.

I want to give you a little thing i found, SuMetal said in a interview that first time they saw the script or storyboard from Karate they thought it was kinda embarrassing or chessy, cringe maybe, but later on they understood the lyrics and the deep meaning and didn't think or feel about that anymore, instead became along with Road Of Resistance a power weapon to show on concerts what Babymetal is made of.
