Thank you for this demonstration. I have some doll blankets to make for a Christmas service project and this will make finishing the edges less of a frustrating chore. I think they look more attractive and the curved corners may wear less over time.
I am a beginner with my sewing machine I taught myself and made each of my grand children a baby clothes memory quilt and the binding definitely was a struggle , my next project will be a quilt for myself and I am so glad you had this technique I am looking forward to trying it thank you ! I always enjoy your videos you are very soothing to listen to and your demonstrations are always easy to follow and thoroughly explained so thank you so much !!
Thank you so much, Bridget! 😊 I’m so impressed by the memory quilts you’ve made-that’s such a thoughtful project! ❤️ I’m thrilled you found this technique helpful, and I can’t wait for you to try it on your quilt. Happy sewing! ✂️🌟
How neat ! My mothers mom always did her binding this way ! My dad's mom always did square corners 😂 I asked grandma why she rounded corners and she said " its so much easier to replace the binding when its tatty !" She was one of 12 children and born in 1905. She was ill for several years at age 12 and confinto a wheelchair. She minded the children and cooked meals while the older children worked the fields. All the mending and a lot of sewing was her responsibility. She told me she could quilt but didn't really like it ! She was a great baker and loved entertaining and hosted her share of sewing and quilting events! She didn't drive because of her bad leg so she compensated by being a lot of fun .Trust grandma to make a chore easier to do 😂 I learned baking from her and quilting from dads mom! I thought you'd like a bit of history and btw she used a saucer to mark corners and plates for marking baptist fan pattern 🎉❤
That’s so awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your story with me. I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to leave this lovely comment ❤️🙏
Thanks for another great tutorial. Really love these rounded corners, makes the quilt look softer somehow. I can see myself using this for children’s quilts
Stacey, thank you for offering me a bit more confidence to do rounded corners with binding cut on the bias. I do look forward to doing this process. Lovely, lovely work, including the donated long arm quilting. I appreciate your time with your detailed tutorials. Thank you.

I have saved this tutorial in my kitchen file to look back at when I make placemats. Thank you for sharing your talent with us ❤. P.S. I also subscribed to your channel 🥰

@queenvicmcg For some reason mitered corners don't bother me either. They're harder to do on the machine, I think though. But I just love the new way Stacey just showed us. I wonder if you didn't need as much binding could you use two fat quarters if you squared them up? 🤔
Stacey, thank you so much for this wonderful video tutorial! I finally had a chance to sit down and put the binding on a quilt that had been waiting quite a while. I struggled a little bit with joining the strips together because my machine is not as nice as yours, and it was difficult to see that the needle was in the precise spot it needed to be. But I figured a way using a quilt ruler and marking pen. It was smooth sailing from there 😊 I am very pleased with the result, and I appreciate your clear instructions and gentle encouragement. I will be saving the link to this video so I can come back to it whenever I need it again. Thanks again!
