I used to listen to this song and think there is no way to fix someone- no matter how much you love them. Then, after grieving the loss of so many people I loved so deeply, the TRY became the the greatest message in this song. You can't fix someone, but you give all of your heart and the try means everything. You loved and tried. That's all we can do.

I’m 29 years old and I have been listening to Coldplay since 2009. Extremely blessed that I got tickets for Mumbai show. To all the Indian diehard fans who couldn't get tickets, you have my whole heart. It's sad to see some people selling tickets in black. It's sadder to see some people getting tickets who just booked because of hype and can hardly name more than 5 songs.

She was so heartbroken because she had very close relationships with her father. That’s the reason this beautiful song called Fix you. Tried to fix her broken heart

After 13 years in 2024 I'm here.. I needed to hear this masterpiece. Thank you Coldplay.
After 15 awesome years, looks like my dog is about to give in. This song never made so much sense to me and never made me cry this much before. This is the power of music. It connects with you, and wake these emotions you had inside of you but didn't even knew. Some people may think it's kinda ridiculous to feel like this for a pet, but he's not just a pet. He's a family member. He's my younger brother. And i kind of got the chorus on reverse. I tried to "fix" him, but seems like soon the lights will guide him and ignite his bones. I hope that, wherever he goes, is somewhere with no pain and chicken fillet rains every thursday. But he'll have to make new friends, because i won't be there for him for some time. I hope he knows that one day i'll go pick him up.

I loved someone for 20 years-then cuz I got diagnosed with a mental illness after having our 2nd daughter, he filed for divorce and I spent almost 3 years fighting for my kids in court-WITH NO ATTORNEY! Thank God for karma. He thought I was too stupid and poor that the only way I'd see my kids is with supervised visitation. On September 6, 2017, I won getting more often and consistent time with them-NOW UNSUPERVISED. I also won the religion war-and I loved watching him squirm in his chair.

This song was my anthem when I got clean from heroin 11 years ago. I know it's a love ballad but to me at that point in my life heroin was my lover. This song was about me fixing myself to me. This song will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. Lights guided me home to the life I always should have lived and I fixed me, and I most DEFINITELY learned from the mistakes. Many jail, rehab, and halfway house stints. Was too in love with heroin to let it go. But I tried and found out what I was worth. Defines such a pivotal place in my life 11 years ago. When nobody can support you, only you can do that alone. I know it's really hurtful and hard for you. You've been stay strong for a long time for the person you love. You've try your best and struggle for that. You've planned everything for lifetime. You had been working hard and make preparation for ensure the long-term commitment.
But this is life, not everything you have been try the best you get. You've really struggle for the best, but end up with huge disappointment. You can love her, but you can't make her to love you. When you love someone but it goes to waste. Yes it hurt, really hurt untill you can't stop your tears. It's okay if you want to cry, you've been stay strong for a long time. Yes, a couple years ago you've been cried so many times untill you feel so tired of these. After this you might be hurted again and makes you felt tired and painful to start again. I know your scar bleed again.
But believe me you'll be find your happiness one day. Someone that will love you more than you love yourself. Someone who really afraid to lose you. Be patient and stay srong okay? Let the tears heal you, don't supress it. Keep praying and try sincere what had been happened. This is life, you will really appreciate the happiness after you felt the pain. My daughter would have been 7 on the 02nd of April this year instead she passed away in my arms on 11/05/15.
She was then and still is the only light of my life. I can't ever be fixed but so many people have tried. Just like the depths of my heartbreak I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for all those who try every day to fix me.
Daddy misses you so much Winter and will love you always.
