i miss this opening a lot. the nostalgia of it all still gives me chills. i know the budgets for daytime soaps have been slashed to hell, but like a lot of other people have said, i really appreciate seeing the actors' names in the opening, even if it's just a few in alternating sequences like the young and the restless does. robin is my favorite, so i love that she comes up just as the music swells.

if you ask me, we should get rid of the cbs soaps altogether, then bring back amc, oltl and either port charles or loving back to their original 12:30 time slot. Really, the abc stories did a lot better with a fresh storyline each afternoon then did anyone else in my opinion. now im only 30 years old but there's a reason that i remember the afternoon lineup so well. it seemed every time i was sick or was off of school the 1 tv in the house was always glued to a soap on abc. so i was always prepared to watch even if i didnt get the jist of what was going on at the time.
