I understand mistakes happen no company is perfect. It is how they handle their mistakes that makes them bad or good. I was dealing with LaRue tactical at the same time as LWRC and the service I received from LaRue was head and shoulders above LWRC. I just can't believe LWRC would send a rifle back to me twice without fixing it and that I would receive it in worse condition then when I sent it. I contacted them four times and not once did they get back to me even after they told me they would call. I must have just been one of the unlucky few that had a bad experience with LWRC. I have heard nothing but good things about the company and Thier service. That's why I bought a spr ic. My next rifle will definitely be a LaRue.
The selector switch would not actuate. It would get stuck in the safe or fire positions. Lwrc said they had a batch of selectors that were out of spec. Not happy with lwrc and how they handled the situation. My rifle was sent in twice and they didn't fix it. On top of that it came back covered in dust and was missing the bottom cap for the pistol grip.
Any manufacturing process has a tolerance range. Sometimes parts are out of spec; as a dude that invented one product and consulted on another from start to finish, ask me how I know. To judge an entire rifle company based upon a single out of spec selector I think is a bit foolish. I've had PLENTY of issues with rifles and pistols and barrels and optics and lights and mounts and sights from dozens of manufacturers in the past, simply because of how much gear I've used and acquired over time. I don't let isolated incidents shape my opinions of an entire product or company, nor do I rant about them publicly on the internet....because I know that those kind of things just happen. They are a fact of life. I'm sorry to hear that their customer service did not meet your expectations, but the possibility exists that you may just have needed to talk to the right person. Just my .02.
Had to send my m6 ic spr to lwrc two times to get the selector switch fixed. It came from lwrc with a bad selector and they failed to fix it both times. I finally had to buy my own switch and install it myself. Then I had to beg lwrc to reimburse for the switch. Not what I expected out of a $2600 gun.
Not in my experience. But my range practice doesn't include consecutive mag-dumps, either. Then again, I can't imagine too many domestic, practical circumstances where that would be a legitimate concern. Ya know?
of course, I was just concerned about my support hand slipping forward onto the bottom of that gas block and getting burnt(aka ruger sr556). Thanks for the info.
It's called a GripSrop and currently is made by Lanco Tactical. A great buddy of mine invented it. Very aggressive front texture, and the vertical rear face serves as a great barricade brace. Comes in both picatinny and keymod mounts. Awesome piece of equipment.
Can you elaborate? Not much is really done to this gun outside of a SSA-E trigger, a Griffin FlashComp and a GripStop. Sights and optics are all personal preference. Is there something else you are interested in seeing?
Stephen Pineau Is there a particular reason you haven't been running an optic with it? Not that you need any, your shooting with irons has been stellar in the drill vids you've been posting recently. Just curious.
Bought my first LWRC in 08. I've used their 10.5" uppers on two deployments to Afghanistan, flawless.
I love my LWRC. They are crazy good guns. People hate on the piston system, but they are truly a great gun.
My GripStop will be here tomorrow! Range day Sunday. can't wait to run it
Love the channel. Full of great info.

Weird question but what kind of jacket are you wearing in this?

What exactly constitutes a "bad selector"?
Awesome rifle, I've always wanted one, could you do a video on your set up and how you run the rifle please?
What information are you looking for, specifically?
My question is what the status on LWRC being bought out by Colt? Whats going to happen on production?
I just picked up an SPR was your safety SUPER stiff?
Ever run a REPR dude?
Nice rifle! What is the accuracy like at 100 yards with spiral fluted barell?
I'll post a video.
Stephen Pineau Thank you very much Stephen!
What are your thoughts on Colt buying LWRC? Good/bad move for them, or more importantly, for us?
what... where did you hear this
It sucks that Colt just bought them out.. Or was that just a Facebook rumor?? Good company, good products
RUMOR
does the exposed gas block get overly hot to the touch down to the bayonet lug?

Mrseandseand Yeah, it's really a non-issue in my opinion.
who makes that handstop on your rifle?
It's called a GripSrop and currently is made by Lanco Tactical. A great buddy of mine invented it. Very aggressive front texture, and the vertical rear face serves as a great barricade brace. Comes in both picatinny and keymod mounts. Awesome piece of equipment.
What brand of ammo do you usually run on it?
Federal .223 55gr FMJ and M855 GreenTip, both from GreyFox Industries.
How you set up and run your rifle.

Joe Macfarlane Wanting to see if developing higher skill with irons translates to an even greater improvement with an optic.
