The early 2000s was a great time for comedy central.
The good days of true equality. Everyone got shat on. Loved it
Yep now you can’t say anything bad about women and blacks
Literally undefeated
Golden age of their content. I love South Park and Office, but that’s all we get stateside really( except weekends, day long of Ferrell or Sandler movies). Og CC had numerous shows, Friday nights were for standup from 8-12, it was grand I miss it
@@molon___labe yea ok bud, as an african american, I don’t really know how to feel about my entire race being relegated to the term “blacks”. fucking yikes.
I forgot how funny this sketch was Dave really pushed the boundaries with this show.
There’s no way this would air on tv in today’s environment.
@@collectivevision9884 1000% agree. Dave’s sketch show came out at the perfect time. Best show Comedy Central ever made.
@natalie williams... Definitely 1 of the best.. But there was other great sketch shows on comedy central that people didnt really pay attention to. Like the Ben Show. Which got cancelled, but now he performs as Wheeler Walker Jr. N changed his shtick
@@collectivevision9884 There's stuff that goes way beyond this on TV now. People need to stop saying this garbage. All forms of media and entertainment are constantly pushing 'the boundary'. Mainstream music, movies relative to their rating, video games are all further past 'the line' than they were 10-20 years ago. Stop living on Twitter, none of that is real.
@@derpderpin1568 Actually there isn’t. Name one tv show that blatant racist words get repeated nearly 50 times in one episode, and don’t say South Park because the one time they did that was about the same time this episode aired.
The look on Jennies fathers face when he yells " OH GOD, NO!!" gets me everytime.
Me too! LMFAO every time!!!
When I watch ppl react to this skit, I always wait for that part! Lol
good ol time
Check out Jane Austen's "MAFIA". It rips the shit out of Italians and the Mafia and ironically, it has Italians in it.
🤣🤣🤣
Y’all trying to figure out how to act “appropriately” is fantastic!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Then y’all were just like “screw it! This is hilarious”!!! 😂😂😂❤️❤️
Hell yeah. Love it!
Dave was trying to be appropriate. I don't think Daz gives a shit. He just wants to laugh and be entertained.
😂😂😂😂 ikr
Daz don’t give a damn. He knows how to handle humor. It was Dave who was a little uncomfortable
“Welp, take care Mr. N word”
Such an under rated line... makes me laugh every time.
"This racism is killing me inside" lol
I just heard it for the first time. And it's funny.
Yep, I've watched a lot of reaction videos on this and nobody ever catches that bit. It's the funniest part of the whole thing, IMO.
It's the funniest sketch I can't quote.
Hahahah
subconsciously
I don't get it, why can't you quote it?
@@vn5774 kumquats be like
🤣🤣🤣
“This is absolutely f***in’ mental.” Just the reaction Chappelle was aiming for 😂
I love how Dave says oh this racism is killing me. I die every time
I thought that was the cherry on top
The way he says it while laughing 😂😂😂
I haven't even started the video yet and already know Daz is gonna be laughing his ass off
Oh yes, that witch hackle he does 🤣
I like that he's untouched by all the extremists online and has no fear. Wish I could be the same...
@@Nekotaku_TV Only person who can make that happen mate, is you.
He barely made it through! 🤣
@@Nekotaku_TV he's British so he's not scared of American snowflakes.
When the girls father said " oh God, no!!!". Hilarious.
😂😂😂
Im so glad I grew up watching the chappelle show in my high school years, one of the comediens that helped shape my sense of humor. This bit is always hilarious!
Same. I can't think of a modern comedy show in 2021 that comes anywhere close to the early to mid 2000's, and prior.
Freshman year my hair teacher would start Thursday off with “who watched Chappelle show?” Then he would go over the sketches with us. Good times
@@Lagmeister_ My English teacher would show us South Park clips senior year and this is like 2007 lol
Me and my friends would just laugh our asses off talking about this at school.
Because of Dave he made us realize racism is actually funny to laugh at each other is needed at least to me God is a genius
I feel like a really subtle joke that usually gets missed is when Dave says "Okay, well take care Mr. N-word." Genius.
You could say the N word. Your using it in the context of repeating a joke so your safe
@@gabrielsamuels6066 Exactly. It was like breaking the architype of the sketch in a way to point out how ridiculous it is. Just like when he walks back into the room for no purpose just to yell "Niggaz!"
Dave and Daz are fighting hard to not quote some of their favorite moments from the sketch.
😂 😂
😂😂😂
Guy am a black guy and I find this skit hilarious, however- you reaction!
AMAZING! Keep it up and no way offended but appreciate your humour and enjoyed watching you guys ! One luv
Right....we can laugh like the rest.
Gotta be able to laugh at yourself, and laugh at the stupidity of those that laugh at you. (Not with you).
Exactly@@MOBBTheRightWay
Dave looked so uncomfortable throughout this video, especially the first half until Chappelle showed up in the skit. Priceless to watch!
Lmfao
It’s always funny watching SOMEONE ELSE being truly uncomfortable. 😂😂😂😂😂
Why would he feel uncomfortable he wrote it, it’s called acting
@@leodurkin8539 Dave the redhead, not Dave Chappelle.
@@yvonneclaes5208 I see, probably a labour voter that’s why, comedy is comedy, what’s said on stage stays on stage, my face hurts every time I watch it. Just funny and what would the world be like without humour.?
Daz laughing like a villain is the best. Dave tried to hold it in at first to be respectful but broke in the end 😂
As a black man....this is absolutely fucking genius!!!!!
"Timmy Nugger!!!! Lmaoiioii"
I love how daz is just full fledge crying laughing lmao. HES SUPPOSED TO!!! 😂😂😂
The best thing about this- This skit was in the second ever episode of the show! The first episode had the black white supremacist skit! Chapelle show was the greatest show when it came out
This skit was episode 2 of season 2, not of season 1. Either way, such a fantastic show.
Its all we would talk about at school the next day, brilliant show
@@nthonyTrad ur right. Still surprised they got a second show after Clinton Bigsby skit much less 4 seasons 😂
I keep scouring RUclips to see if these guys watched that skit. It would blow their minds.
This show was fearless.
Y'all might have to do somethin unprecedented in OB history and do this again some time with Mike!
I second that.
I third it!
I fourth this notion
A fifth that
I sixth that
I’ve seen this 200 Times makes me laugh everytime but Seeing Dave shoot worried and unsure looks to daz was destroying me bruh. Daz don’t give a f😭👌🏻💯
I’m so glad that you guys are reacting to this! This is flipping hilarious.
Dave is ruining these videos. All over the place.
@Matrixnukum it means he flip flops all over the place. One second he loves it then the next he feels uncomfortable. Then Dax says it's funny and he snaps back and says hehe yea. Doesn't matter when sketch was made. Your either a snowflake or not.
And I like ya'and I want cha'
I love how you are a fan of this comedy but still say flipping. It really proves that TV doesn't inherently produce people who act this way.
The Blokes and this skit have finally met... and the results brought tears to my eyes!
This was great BUT it would’ve been funnier watching Mike turn purple in embarrassment!🤣
I thought the same. This is such a rare piece of comedy that I was really hoping to see how uncomfortable Mike got haha
Dave looked stressed out watching this 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't think anyone had the balls to even play this one any more .
There are a handful of reactions that went up over the past year. But I will say this is the only reaction I’ve seen to this bit by a channel that is not being run by people who look like me. I have to respect that, ha. I can see why people would obviously be uncertain about doing it.
@@TerryTerius you can say that again. Best part of comedy reactions is seeing someone from an entirely different culture laugh the same way you did.
I was laughing so hard. I forgot about that skit. Great job reacting to it. Brilliant.
To me this is the best provocative comedy sketch of all time. Written and performed in the most comically genius way I've ever seen. Who's On First being the greatest wholesome or kid friendly skit ever written.
Daz is the joy of my life ,he never takes things too seriously on the other hand lol Dave is always over analyzing things and always sees the dark side in something. It's like night and day with them.
Damn you nailed it! Either way over analyzing or stopping videos to make the dumbest point.
@@EMD1028 yup, always lol
Except for when they watch Bo Burnham. Daz occasionally forgets to remove the stick up his ass.
@@EMD1028 there are real conversations to be had with bits and sketches like this, if you're really so surface level and dumb then maybe watching these isnt for you... theres a clear reason chappelle walked away from the show which is pretty related to the shit you're saying
Dave does social commentary. There are a lot of subtle things in this sketch that just went over both of their heads and yours too apparently
Dave's character is both delivering milk and wearing white, which contrasts the theme of show so perfectly. Chappelle's Show really came in storming! I've seen this a million times.
"Milkmen" back in the day were predominately black, and had to wear white uniforms be be accepted into suburban neighborhoods without suspicion.
As a black guy keep doing your thing and making great content brothers, much love from tech head mani
Funny AF! This skit is hilarious and smart at the same time. Dave is the only one who could pull off the social commentary and irony here.
How does the world go from such great comedy like the Chappelle show to ppl being offended by everything they see in a shopping centre. This is such a great show & sketch 😂
Stuff like this is why dave is literally the greatest, because only he could pull something like this off and find tons of humor in it.
Pretty much what we were all waiting for since you started chapelle show reactions
I got tired of requesting it because I didn't think they would ever consider it 😅
Go bucs
i love how daz absolutely dies at racist humor 😂
Dave brought to light the ridiculousness of the wholesomeness this country projected through television back then. The fact he brings out our to your face is so up front you have to laugh. We’re all the same. We need to laugh together more rather than fighting over differences.
C'mon guys, admit it.....you're singing the jingle in your head right now!😂😂😂
I love how the older guy is laughing hard at this that’s how comedy is supposed to be received it’s just jokes, but the young who grew up in this generation feels super reserved and awkward for laughing at this
Only Dave Chappell can get away with this 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
My favorite and in my opinion the best Chappelle's Show bit.
This was a time before the outrage mob on twitter and facebook ever tasted blood, the bar was set incredibly high and Dave used every bit of it to hilarious effects.
This was aired on TV. Let that sink in
And before Trump brought out the racist.
Oh, do shut up.
It is a shame these clips don’t include Dave’s intro to the skit usually will explain the concept behind it
(most of) Dave Chappelle's intro: "But I'm thinking is it because black people identify themselves as 'n-words'? No, I don't know, maybe. But what if we just use the word for other people? Would it be so bad? I don't know. So I made a sketch, it's about a white family whose last name just happens to be ....... That's all. Let's see how offensive the word sounds now."
Daz is going to explode on this one lol
Dave Chappelle once said they knew they had an instant classic on their hands even before they were halfway done writing it. An absolute genius!
This was like the second or third episode of the Chappell Show...just so you know how ballsy Dave was out of the gate.
This was second season I believe
@@mikej2133 you might be right. I knew it was early on.
Clayton bigsby was episode 1 or 2
WHAT! Oh god NO!😂"That's just his name" calming him down 🤣
"Mornin niggas" got me dead lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the greatest skit, I remember watching this as a kid and I was confused why they didn't even sensor the N-word 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂🙌🙌Chappel is the GOAT. Have watched this a hundred times and I'm still dying laughing.
I will NEVER forget the night this came on, I was in the middle of eating dinner. When I tell you I almost choked to death laugh’n at this skit…😂 I had to consciously stop myself from laughing, so I could not die, and finish chewing…lol
Legitimate genius. Dave is one of the funniest living comedians. Personally, I think the argument could be made that he's one of the funniest of all time. Bill Burr is in that discussion as well, especially since he also had a hand in Chappelle's Show. Two legends.
YES! I've been waiting for you guys to do this one. It was brilliant! Do another one with Mike when he gets out of “detention” please.
What happened to him?
I saw the thumbnail and died... best clip ever.
Dave left the show behind because the executives wanted him to tone down the material. Instead of compromising, he walked away.
I have a lot of respect for Dave Chappelle.
Yes! So glad you guys got to this one. Chappelle also did a "I know black people" skit that was just as funny to me as this one.
Fuck I haven't seen this in forever thanks for this one guys.
My favorite sketch of the series, and... I really can't ever talk about it with people.
reason why this sketch works is that it is very clever on every level.
It goes to show
a) what you could potentially get away with in the 50s/60s. Meshing obvious racism, casual racism and "innocence"
b) applying black stereotypes to a white family is "endearing" and not malicious
c) still showing the surface racism (father of the girlfriend).
d) Showing its not the term or name "Ni***r" thats insulting its entirely the context you are using it, and who against. A white family called "ni**ar": no problem. still respected in community
Actual black people: its the malicious, hard "ER". It is the epitome of White privilege. To be called the N word in that "society", but not judged negatively.
Chapelles co writer on these sketches is white, so that also pushes the boundaries as to what they wanted to get away with
When I saw this on Chapelle's Show, I thought I just have witnessed TV skit comedy genius. 😂
Omg, when you guys first started reacting to Chappelle I thought there's no way you would ever react to the 'N' word family. Chappelle gave an interview once about the amount of complaints he got about this and Clayton Bigsby. He said the only way you know where the line is is to walk right up to it.
Chappelle is comedy genius. He's the only one to beat the system
Holy f*ck, I've never seen this before, one minute in and I'm already in tears... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s very refreshing to see these guys actually laugh and have fun with this skit. It’s absolutely hilarious.
This honestly might be the single funniest skit in all of Chappelle's show. I died when i saw this first.
Honestly, we should be able to laugh at ourselves.!! Chapelle is genius..
Now this is why Dave's the goat.
The "Oh no" in the background at 7:42 is hilarious.
Thats one of my all time fav Chappelle skits !!! COMEDY GOLD!
Back in the day when everyone wasn’t so quite offended! Dave preceded this skit on his show with “it’s just a name, and I’m going to bring this point forward and make light of it”. And I think he did a wonderful job. Need less offensive people and more humor like this! Great job!!
What people are offended? Unlike most of my people I know this word is of old! This word was used in the bible to describe the Jews!!
Yay!! Was waiting for this from you guys. Wasn't sure if it would happen, because of the title and the subject matter. but here it is. Well done. Must agree with you, that's it's one of the funniest skits I've ever seen -- brilliant writing and production. Definitely a classic. Thanks.
this skit is the best of all time, just pure genius
We had a white guy in the Army, and his last name was Niggamann. He was the 1st Sergeants driver, who was black. He got so much shit..lol
I knew daz would be in tears 🤣🤣🤣
Yes !!!!! Soo glad y’all did this, now you should do Dave Chappell pulls off impossible punchline!!!!!!!
Remember when a joke was just a joke and everybody laughed and nobody died? I'm 68 and I sure miss those days. Laughter is essential to your health and well being.
daz is laughing like my dad when i took him to see d'jango unchained
"The D is silent" 😂😂😂
The reaction clip I have been waiting for!
The whole skit is a play on homonyms. Clifton understands the double meaning while the family innocently does not. Wonderful satire.
This is one of Dave's most cleverly written and deepest sketches. Many of the jokes are layered three deep particularly if you're a little older at 63 like I am.
I went to bootcamp with a guy whose last name was Dick. His dad was a retired major in the Marine Corps. We thought he was joking until his dad showed up to boot camp graduation in his uniform.
Office Blokes, this was the best episode yet. Watching you guys sweat it out.. 🤣🤣🤣 You guys should have done this when Mike came back.
Probably my favorite Chapelle sketch, such an insane talent.
I was in college when Chapelle Show originally aired, pre-DVR. When a new episode came out there wasn't a car on the road and you could hear a pin drop across town.
You guys are true Patriots for being brave enough to react and air this on RUclips. Such a hilarious bit of comedy by an amazing creator like Chappelle
"The Chappelle Show" was essentially put in the same category as "South Park" in that they got so much room to navigate that censors and people who would normally complain just leave/left them alone. That is best typified by the following clip that Trey Parker and Matt Stone both said they were shocked the nework's legal team allowed to be aired. They basically said, "It's South Park." ruclips.net/video/zLTzvEt63CU/видео.html
He is legitimately a comedy genius, to spend a day in his head would be scary and amazing 😂
I had recently watched another youtube reactor viewing this skit. The reactor is black (from the US) & when the white actors would say the N word, he was mildly shocked & didn't say anything, but when Chappelle started saying the N word, the reactor would laugh out loud. Even when the reactor was aware that the whole skit was made by Chappelle, he was still selective as to when/where to laugh.
"how the hell did he ever get this approved ?" because it was nearly 20 years ago. a bit before society had a collective bug up their asses.
😂😂😂 So glad yall finally did this one!
Literally paused it right before it goes full throttle😂 even I was shocked when I first watched it back then, but the concept was just so edgy and funny. Chappelle is undisputed
Chapelle is genius. They way to get rid of racism is to make fun of it.
I laughed so much I had to cancel myself...
i can't wait to see daz cracking up to this one! waiting for this a long time!!
It’s made to laugh, I’m so glad you guys can appreciate this as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro this clip was so funny Dave Chappelle is a Skit Genius bro 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😅🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ah, I've been WAITING for this one!!
Hilarious!!! Back when everybody wasn’t so sensitive.
Watching this when it first dropped in 2003 was absolutely wild. It's still just as funny today, but I appreciate the brilliant social commentary so much more 😂
Calling the ginger family was pure genius brother I laughed my ass off that how u fu*** do it I love you guys big fan here
Not sure if you blokes have done it yet but You should react to Dave Chapelle's Clayton Bigsby's black white supremacist! Hilarious 😂
