Oh my goodness. I have no words. This is the softest, sweetest, most beautiful Zekaela edit ever. I’m too overwhelmed to even explain to you how much I love it. I was literally tearing up watching it. I’ve literally been watching it on repeat since I got home from work. I LOVE ALL THE PARALLELS SO MUCH. And the scene where she says, “I’m so glad I have you. And that we can trust each other,” transitioning to the scene when they’re in bed and he accidentally brushes her scar and pulls back, transitioning to him saying, “me too,” and then transitioning to her gently placing his hand back on her scar is now MY FAVORITE PART OF ANY ZEKAELA EDIT EVER. Oh my god. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. She trusts him. Thats what she was trying to tell him in that scene without words. And what she’s told him so many times before in words. And you captured it here so beautifully. SOBBING. She wants him to know she trusts him. That after everything. It’s still true. And not despite everything they’ve been through. But because of it. ALSO WHAT THE FUCK. The part in the song that says, “don’t be scared” a beat before she says, “I’m scared of opening myself back up and then lose him” jumping straight to the beginning of that reality in combination with the scenes you chose of her and Zeke that perfectly matched the lyrics in the song, “I am too. Cause this chemistry between me and you is too much to just ignore it. So I’ll admit that, now I’ve fallen”. The sequence of scenes you chose for those lyrics smacked me right in the face because I could feel exactly what they were feeling. SCREAM. I also really love the part in the edit that says, “Maybe we were always meant to meet. Like this was somehow destiny. Like you already know. Your heart will never be broken by me” and the scenes you chose for it. And the part that says, “I should take your hand. And make you come with me. Away from all this noise and impurity”. A song is a song. And scenes are scenes. And separately they’re amazing. But it takes a really talented person to be able to get to the core of a song and the scenes in order to be able to put it all together this beautifully and perfectly and have it fit so well. And Saanvi saying, “I get wanting to hold on to it no matter what,” while our babies are reaching for each other with everything they have. SOBS. I’m so sad. AND THE SONG. OH MY GOD. THE SONG. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Every lyric is perfect for them (I’m pretty sure J and I have discussed it for them before). But oh my god. I’m rambling. I’ll just end this long ass rant by saying you did a beautiful job. Every damn part is my favorite. THIS WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT.
