What sets this guy apart from many others is the way he presents himself. He shows up with clean organized equipment, nice shorts and shirt, and takes care of himself. Lots a people think it doesn’t matter but it does. It’s a lot easier to trust and hire someone like this than someone that looks like they just rolled out of bed, put on clothes from yesterday and smoked a blunt. I used to have a small lawncare business. My equipment was nice and clean, I wore khaki pants or shorts, nice clean shirts, presented my self professionally. I had zero problems getting customers without even trying. Present yourself correctly and will be successful no matter what you do.

@@tonys602 thanks Tony! I agree with you 💯 a customers perception of you is their reality. They are judging you within the first 5-10 seconds of meeting you, how you dress, how you carry yourself, your set up, cleanliness, professionalism…etc
Alot of people underestimate how important that first impression is and it can make a huge difference.
I actually did a whole video on this topic about building a winning brand.

There is a great opportunity in this business, you have the potential to make more money than most people with a college degree… you just have to have a solid understanding of the actual business side of things, detailing is the easy part.

Awesome video I like it. A lot of stuff you talk about is good. It’s the same stuff I do in the last 30 years. I’ve learned also Fleet accounts with 20 trucks or less or better or even just five I call them my high-end fleet accounts where I can charge more money than just those regular fleet accounts. That want to pay cheap try to look for those also ambulances they pay good money if you can get those accounts some of them and they never let you down doesn’t matter if it was Covid time they will pay they have to keep them clean or police cars too check into that . Small maintenance You’re right too. I have a lot of those also and that’s what keeps the business running on the slow times and anytime and good point on detailing either morning or afternoon to do them love the videos keep them going. I’ll see you on RUclips soon myself. I’m mostly on Instagram and TikTok myself , but you do need one or two helpers at least so u don’t mess up your body and breathe all those chemicals. I always have a helper too. It’s just worth it for your health it’s more important. The money is good, but sometimes you need help so you don’t mess yourself up. Just keep that in mind.

1k is not bad. However, you're most definitely earning every penny of it.
What's great is that you're in fantastic shape , and you also don't look like you have any nagging injuries.
However, if you worked out of your home garage and focused on PPF and ceramic coatings, you could make more money and do fewer vehicles.
I know a guy who was doing what I just mentioned earlier out of his home two car garage and was making 300k.

I have thought about that one, but it’s complicated… the thing I think most people don’t realize is there is a significant cost involved with filming…. A full day of filming costs me $800 and to do a video like that would take all day… it’s hard for me to justify making one really long video vs 5 or 6 videos. Also most people’s attention spans are so short these days im not sure if anyone would actually watch the whole video… its hard to keep most people past 15-20 minutes you know what im saying? You have to have a set time limit.
If it’s really bad condition I will just tell them upfront before starting that their vehicle would require our higher level executive package to give them the results they are looking for. It needs a deeper level of cleaning that will require more time to get it done the price would go from $195 (2-3 hours) to $395 (4-5 hours)

In my opinion just leaving cards usually won’t have much return unless you meet someone and give it to them personally.
If you are going to pass out / leave behind something I would suggest a flyer, they are less expensive than business cards and you can put more information on it… some type of call to action… like a special you are running, introductory offer… etc
I would target high end fitness center parking lots, nice restaurant parking lots, high end grocery store parking lots… places that your target demographic customers will be, people that can and will pay for detailing services.
