This is one of the most underrated Leatherworking channels. This is channel has some truly impressive pieces that I hope to be able to work on in the short future. If you're ever looking to get rid of the steam burns (I think they look kind of cool for these kinds of pieces though) you can try to add some masking tape over the leather before you engrave it, or simply wet the leather prior to engraving it.
Thanks for all the tutorials, these are great and I'll be purchasing some patterns from your shop in the very near future, just waiting on some thick Veg-Tan to arrive.
Thank you very much, I feel honored.
I heard the tip on the laser engraving before, but I agree with you, they do look cool :D
You are very welcome and I am looking forward welcoming you as a costumer :)
I Like how you cleaned up the edges after your bond between both surfaces. 🤙🏻☘️
Thank you, for me it also was very satisfying :)
It's a really amazing work! Thanks for tutorial!
Thank you very much and you are welcome :)
Beautiful, super cool project! Seems like a plywood backing would work too? You're drilling the holes anyway but maybe the edge thread will be abraded too much by the wood?
Wood should work too, you just want to consider making the edge leather pieces not that wide, since it is designed for 2cm shield thickness.
I don't believe Plywood would contour the arm as well as the PVA Foam did.☘️
Got approval to use this design at my game, can't wait to build it. I love your videos, thank you for your earlier the advice about where to acquire the stamp I asked about. If you don't mind what are you using to airbrush this with? From the tiny bit of bottle it looks like Fiebing's? Would you mind sharing which and if you need to thin it to put it through your airbrush? I've never put dye through mine but the level of control that must offer sounds amazing. Thank you!
Thank you for your nice words and you are welcome:)
Yes it is fiebings oil dye / pro dye and I just use it right from the bottle. I can really recommend it! But be sure to do it only outside or in a special area, the drift is high
@@NilsBeardfoot thank you both for your willingness to share and your speedy reply!
Is there any chance i can buy this?
You can get the pattern and build it yourself :)
I dont have the time or tools to build it, i am working on the shoulders right now
@@luckysigge904 Then you still got the options to let somebody else craft it for you. I currently do not take custome orders
