      I will mourn, I will cry, my heart will be broken in zwei. You are right, it is the same stone and his marks are on almost all pieces since I did find him, not sure there will be one like him again, but I would have to try, lucky me I know exactly where I did find it and I would steal another one :D

    You could also dye your white rawhide with brewed coffee for a more natural look.

      Interesting idea, I have thought about things like that, but since a I bought an airbrush, I thick the result is a lot better so I have not thought about that for a while.

    By Viking do you mean Fantasy? Vikings worn thinner belts, according to archeological finds.

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, my viking set is for sure not historically accurate :D

    3:50 It sates itself on the life? I noticed your S rune in the drawing is different than the futhark rune you used in the leather. Was the drawing letter wrong or just a different version of an S?

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  Год назад

      Your translaition is correct. In the digital version I used Elder Furthark, it is mostly the same as my stamp set but not exactly. So yes it just another S. Since my armor pieces are not historic correct anyways I see not a big problem in that

      @@NilsBeardfoot It's a great piece either way, whether or not its historic.

    Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Is the artwork of the kneeling knight and horse (?) your original design? You really have some great skills. I am about to finish my first leather sword scabbard, and you have now inspired me with more ideas for projects. Amazing. Keep tooling.

      Thank you very much, I am glad I could inspire you :)
      The artwork is my original design yes and it is actually the god Tyr and the bound Fenriswolf

    I don’t know if you’ve answered this question but where did you get the rune stamps you used?

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  3 года назад +1

      Well I don't see any problem in answering that. I got it from a seller in germany www.nordisches-handwerk.de/werkzeuge/lederbearbeitung/punzieren/punzier-sets/3644/punzier-set-runen-alphabet
      if you google for "leather rune stamps" you for sure are going to find a vendor in your area
