Leather Crafting Tutorial - D20 Mace

- This pattern helps you create the shown mace. The mace is ment to be a larp weapon and has a medium difficulty and could with some time also achieved by newer crafters but it is recommended to have a bit of experience. Please note that even the mace is light (round 750 g) it still can be nasty to get strinked in some places, please be carefull and respect the safety of your contender.
Difficulty: medium Tools needed: basic
Recommended materials
- 2,5 mm (6 oz) veg. tanned leather
- 1,5 mm (4 oz) veg. tanned leather
- 4 straps of 1,5 mm (4 oz) veg. tanned leather 1,5 m long, 1,5 cm (3/5 inch)
- 2 straps of 3,5 mm (9 oz) veg. tanned leather 1,5 cm (3/5 inch) 10 cm long
- Wood round around bar 20 mm (4/5 inch) thick around 1 m (40 inch) long
make sure the fibers are parallel to the edge
- Wood cube 4 x 4 x 4 cm (1 3/5 inch)
- Soft foam 3,5 cm (1 inch) thick around 60 x 40 cm (24 inch x 16 inch)
- Styrodur 2 cm (4/5 inch) 20 x 20 cm (8 inch)
- Pipe isolation fitting for the wood bar
Tools: edge trimmer, cutting knife, burnisher, hole punch, leather carving tools, bone folder, clamps, sewing material, diamond shaped chisel, groove cutter, wing divider, glue, rivets, drill, saw, nails
