You have given a wonderful overview of various hacks. And then there came your brilliant philosophy of things and spaces. Our dearly honored forebears did not expect us to save every little tchotchke they ever bought and used. We need to pick perhaps a half dozen things that we truly cherish because we shared it with them at holidays or saw them wear it all the time and keep those as part of our ongoing lives in remembrance of them. And as to spaces, you could not be more on the money when it comes to living in the new home before buying things for it, even paints. Just the changing of the light in a room due to time of day or weather, alone, can make a huge difference in what colors you would pick and even what size furniture, should you discover that it would not do well to have the sofa in a particular spot due to the light there and so it will go in a different location in the room that requires a smaller or larger size from what you anticipated. Books on wheels is a sterling idea. Clothes can go in boxes.

@@MyJewishMommyLife It oppresses and depresses us. It clutters our minds and spirits. It ends up in control of us. It's good to get rid of things before moving, so they don't all sit in the new basement forever and a day.
