I live in Louisville Kentucky. I lived in London when I was younger and remember visiting Westminster Abby and really enjoyed learning about the history of my ancestors. My family is from Kent I was able to go back to the 12th century. Before I moved to Kentucky I lived in St Augustine Florida. St. Augustine was founded in 1535 so it has a very rich history as well including an English one. I want to thank you for such a nice stroll through the beautiful green English country and the marvelous history that is Lacock in the gorgeous Cotswolds. I've subscribed because I like the way you sort of pause on the historical mentions about the place or thing you are filming and the way you slowly pan the different locations. It almost feels like we are walking with you.I Thank you for the care you take in the description and filming and look forward to more of your videos.
That is such a lovely comment, thank you so much. I only launched my channel last month so a complete novice but learning all the time. Appreciate you watching and subscribing.
Thx, I truly enjoy everything that reminds me of Harry Potter esthetics, and I was wondering if you could share more places to spend, maybe smth outside Wessex🤩
Oh, another nice channel to watch of interesting places in the English countryside and other places of interest. I live in NYS near Cooperstown. We have some older building there (not as old) but nonetheless they are beautiful. Have you ever been to the states. Another area of interest here is Newport, R.I. There is an area near the coast that has BIG old mansions. They have tours. Just lovely. I wonder what they have done to put electric & plumbing into these building that you show. Thank you for the content and their associations to movie productions and other historical facts.
This is a lovely, relaxing channel. I’m interested in the beauty of the Cotswolds for its own sake, and also because my great-grandmother was born there in 1866, in Moreton-in-Marsh. I was born and live in the US, in the northeast (NYC and then New England), and enjoy learning what I can about my English grandfather’s family. Thank you for this gently-paced stroll.
I well remember the first time I was aware of Lacock was when I saw Cranford. I thought 'surely they haven't built a set that big; but nowhere looks like that nowadays'. In a way I was right because the Beeb had dressed it up a bit, but basically it was as it is. I have spent several lovely breaks there since that time and I can recommend it heartily, if you like that sort of place.
AS THE VILLLAGE HAS NO TREES, IT IS A BIT LONELY IN SPIRIT. IN THE SUMMER THER COLD BE SOME CONTAINERS OF FLOWERSS TO HUMANIZE THE TOWN UP AS WELL. OTHERWISE IT IS JUST ALL CONSTRUCTION.
Thank you for watching my video.

Thankyou for your lovely comments and welcome to the channel.
Thanks for the walk.. It's a pity they don't suit me, I like walking without music and talking.Only real sounds.
THEN TURN DOWN THE SOUND. I PREFER A FASTER WALK, SO INCREASED THE SPEED SLIGHTLY
I find it strange that they don't allow aerials on the roofs, but park cars everywhere😢

Thankyou so much
It was really called La'cock a French term but it was put together as Lacock in the 1700's and yes I'm lying 😂

Would have appreciated a spoken commentary, I don’t know the village.
Thanks for your comments. It's a bit of a problem sometimes if its windy but agree more commentary would be good. Appreciate you watching.
