I listened to that song on the evening when I first suspected my father might die soon. He did pass away just a few months later but Opium will be with me for the rest of my life as a memory.
Do not go gentle into that good night Dylan Thomas - 1914-1953 Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Jeden z niegdyś najważniejszych dla mnie zespołów. Gdy zaczynałem przygodę z DCD, Polska była jeszcze przed wielkim przelomem politycznym. Jak ten czas leci...
What a wonderful track, strangely takes me back to a time long before the track was even released! Overtones of the Scottish band Goodbye Mr Mackenzie to my ears from late 80's /early 90's.... weird...
How lucky for you! Now you have decades of music to hear for the first time, and if lucky you can see them live, if they are ever able to tour again. It’s like how all those young people just encountered Kate Bush, with so many adventures awaiting them! Cheers to you!
@@altrefrontiere2354 You have perfectly the right to disagree with me, but at first, don't judge me. You don't know who am i. Answer to my past words, try to have an argumenented answer, but like i said don't judge the people. To answer to your question, I am listening DCD for 30 years. Is it enough to have the right to express my opinion about DCD ?
@@couilledeloup7773 you don't want to be judged, you silly, but you wrote about Brendan Perry: "À faire la tournée des MJC..." Now, I don't have the slightest idea about whom you are referring to with MJC. You see? Your comments are a waste of time. And I had some time to waste. That's all.

If you're not a long-term admirer of their work, t is understandable you might not like what they do. However, this is who they are and, as such, have become recognized and admired for internationally. This sort of music does not vibe with everyone and that is ok.
Nothing even comes close to them...lightyears ahead of their times from the beginning...here lies the essence of life , love and death...

Космос...просто...хах..нет слов,это шикарно.удивило что лайв запись ни чуть не уступает студии
I love DEAD CAN DANCE. They are so psychedelic. My favorite tunes are Children of the Sun and Song of the Stars. Spiritually awesome.
i have no idea why this was recommended to me but i love it 🖤
Live performance is better than studio album. Love this band!
Wow, these people are still touring! Soundtrack to a misspent youth...
Спасибо за эту музыку, это прекрасно 💛🤍💛🤍💛
Согласен

LIVE 1000 YEARS!!!!
I still have several records from them, from the mid 80's What a trip to see them now. His voice sounds the same.

I remember them. Interesting comment.
His voice reminds me of Peter Gabriel's.
Одна из любимейших мною мелодий.
У меня эта песня вызывает образы, описанные в рассказе Г. Лавкрафта "Лампа Альхазреда".
What a voice❤

это прекрасно
Dommage dans ce groupe, le mec a une tendance depuis plusieurs années à vouloir prendre toute la place. Sans Lisa Girard, il serai ou??.
À faire la tournée des MJC...
dominique, it's obvious you know nothing about Brendan Perry and DCD. Also, this is a song written by him and it's meant to be sung by him. You silly.

Wow!!! 👌
Cresciuto a pane e dead can dance
A lot like the Gathering
DCD existed years before the Gathering and obviously influenced the later
no dead can not dance or do anyrhing else
wow rofl lmao
That's the band name. Not a song name
I was to their concert on their concwrt in Lisboa. Sorry, but it was boring. Especially the man.
"The man" is Brendan Perry. Have some respect for people's work. Educate yourself. Buy a ticket to Coachella and get lost. Forever.
