- Millions of dollars in high-end shoes, including Nikes and Yeezys were found, not at a store, but at a West Side warehouse that was home to a theft ring that targeted freight trains. CBS 2's Andrew Ramos showed how police busted the operation.

When thieves make enough money to rent a warehouse you know the problem has gone on far too long.
ya , it's not your swamp meet thief's
They probably stole the warehouse too 😂
@@pla6ue nah. They are squatting.
LOL this is incredibly naive. There’s a whole other world you don’t pay attention to. And there’s “thieves” that own corporations that do this in somewhat gray markets overseas etc
I guess the 20s is the decade for organized crime
No Work Boots were harmed in the making of this film.
They’re allergic to “work” boots.
😂😂😂
I'm retired I need a good pair of work boots all I ever wore even as a kid .
America's supply of Work Boots, Father's Day Cards, Job Applications and Belts (Saggin, am I right?) will NEVER be in short supply within the Black community.
That was funny. I laughed out loud
The real crime is how expensive those shoes are
Cheap Chinese plastic
Blatt Status in da Hood.
Meanwhile what's the murder solve rate there?
I agree they are way to expensive
This has been going on for ages!
I am retired now, after a 41 year career as a freight conductor. Trains and box cars were hit in the rail yards and even on the mainline while stopped. Even by employees in some yards. I remember years ago when even the FBI, set up surveilance operations at a lot of yards where high activity of theft happened. At one time, I remember a huge theft ring of employees being caught.
A few of them had search warrants enacted upon at their residences and a lot of stolen goods were found in their garages.
Needless to say, they lost a decent job, that would have yielded a decent retirement pension. Plus, having to do jail time, since it is a federal crime that involves interstate commerce.
A lot of us would just laugh at these people because of how foolish they were. Also, the stupidity of thinking they would not get caught. Then the consequences they eventually faced and probably the destruction and heartbreak that fell on their families.
Well, I guess it takes all kinds to make this world go round !
FBI is to busy for that now since they are spending their time and taxpayers money scanning the plates of cars in church parking lots.
Now they just drop the charges and set the inbreds free to steal.more
The pulled a Heisenberg…😂
Which railroad did you work for? And what cities did you usually travel to and from?
@@trentpettit6336 : I began my career with the Penn Central in January of 1973. Then, Conrail, Amtrak, and finished my career with SEPTA, the local commuter rail service in Philadelphia.
I basically worked the whole northeast corridor. Between NYC and Washington DC., and most of the branch lines along the way. Also, as far west as Harrisburg, Pa. All of these lines were former PRR.
Then, when Conrail was formed, we became qualified on a lot of the former Reading Railroad lines. Really adventurous and well traveled career that was a lot of hard work, especially in all types of inclement weather and harsh conditions.

Imagine allowing it for so long to build up a warehouse is needed to store it.
Why do I have to imagine it? It's in the video. Lmfao.
There's at least one fencing operation in California's Bay Area that cops have known about for a long time.
They're "working on doing something about it", but would not go in even when a theft victim used a tracking device to pinpoint the items stolen from them.

Been since the beginning of economic classes.. hey judges releases criminals to criminalize.. n get away with it
@thejourney9415. I know right. Apparently if you're a corrupt politician you can get away with any criminal activity. A regular person would be investigated immediately and get hammer with severe punishment. I have never ever once seen a corrupt politician get arrested and thrown in prison for shady criminal activity. Because they are black
How do you steal them legally ? If they did it legally theyd have to have the money to buy them.
And they didn't even show us the 2 people who were charged with this crime.
That is very telling!
A group of individuals who are working together for money? Politicians?
That’s just 5 million dollars in potential MSRP/retail value. They probably cost 2% of that to manufacture at-scale.
Damn that's crazy you got that knowledge brotha, you smart, rock scientist. Wakanda proud and shiet
"Made in China".... I'll keep my USA boots on!
doesnt really matter how much to manufacture because aside from manufacture, you got design, marketing, sales, shipping, storage, etc.
I mean... Nike spends billions just brainstorming ideas on the design..
If the only thing that went to price, was the cost to manufacture, eveyrything around us would drop in price by a hundred, as well as all our salaries..
Except the affected retailers pay far more than 2% for wholesale price. They are the ones who suffer a loss. Nike makes a shit ton of money in every situation
Rich people bad so lets mess with middle class retailers, right tay?
Like you said the manufacturer doesnt feel the hit, but the little guy does.
Some stay dry and others feel the pain.
There had to be an inside source somewhere. How would the thieves know which railroad car to ransack?
Bust open all or most boxcars and concentrate on the cars that net most profit.
That and all the looting!
My guess is the trucking companies that use railroads are more the source because all the railroads do is pick up sealed trailers and containers that are brought to them. Almost nothing manufactured gets shipped in regular boxcars anymore.

Retailers who purchased the goods MUST have known that they are stolen goods. The prices must have been well below market price and the goods were advertised on social media, and not through normal, legitimate and established supply chain.
Well to be honest there was the legitimate "word of mouth" also. So one could see how they didn't know.
Um no. Sneaker demand is crazy. You don’t have to charge well below retail to move sneakers because people will buy them above retail no problem.
