Well, you were a Peace Officer, the caliber and training is totally different now in Law Enforcement. They stopped requiring the MMPI testing in the hiring process. That allows a lot of Narcissistic disordered personalities to get into the system that was once an special group able to judge good guy from bad guy and let the unimportant shit go to keep peace and safety and using the law to protect society rather than Uphold the Law to create an enemy of society, This cop should have asked for the kids contact info and located the legal guardians over a damn window and then went about his job instead of escalating the situation into deadly force. There was no reason to even touch the kid in the first place. Broken window, witness or not! Control, Fear and Revenue Generation is the desired outcome for policing now!

This is a known psychological phenomenon.
NASA and the aviation community have spent millions trying to find a solution, as have the medical community.
When we try to react under stress our brains sometimes perform a similar but different action than what you intended.
Hitting the gas instead of the brake for example.
The likelihood of this is higher if one of the actions has been practiced or performed more than another.
Tasers are far more expensive to practice with than firearms, which means few departments have the budget to train with them regularly.
This does not excuse the officer, and he should be charged with negligent wounding.
However unless there is additional evidence, attempted murder doesn’t fit what is shown in the video.
Negligence and incompetence due to poor department training is simply more likely than malice from an individual who knows his every action and word is being recorded by multiple cameras.

But, what is truly concerning is that there should've been an immediate severe consequences to these mistake especially when they rise to the level of potentially lethal. This is why many have such mistrust in the cops. When regular citizens make mistakes, consequences are swift, when the shoe is on the other foot however... well we get this.

I'm not saying this doesn't happen or that you are wrong, nor am I saying you are right, simply that you cannot possibly know and it is such a lazy perspective to make "everything about race."
Racism will never end if we keep talking about it. All I saw was a poorly executed stop by a less than qualified police officer that resulted in a 14 year old kid getting shot. I didn't see racism nor can anyone know what the officer's intent or thoughts were.
