I guess I will be an alternative. Depends on what you want. If you keen for petrol efficiency than this is the one to get. Else besides of few upgrades features it has over the V spec it is basically no significant differences. The V is better to drive if you ask me.
Thanks for the video, nicely done, as expected. Just curious, you said it's definitely feels heavier to drive but it's that an underpower feel or more planted feel?
If you drive the petrol variant and compare to this. You will feel the petrol variant is lighter and more nimble. It is like you are carrying more people or stuff on your car heavy. With its add electric motor it definitely won't feel under power.
@@AnthonyLoh weight of the battery plus the control unit and the inverter only add 25kg to the vehicle. This weight mostly located below the rear seat of the vehicle and help to lower the centre of gravity for better handling. The e-motor provides immediate torque at lower speed and 0 to 50 km/h is much faster than petrol version. The motor continues to help acceleration with the help of the Petrol engine at higher speed and 0 to 100km/h is 1 sec faster than its petrol variant. Curious how all that tech and design to improve the driving dynamic was not perceptible during your test.
Dear Anthony, Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid does not have paddle shifter or manual tiptronic to reduce gear in the uphill road or to overtake truck in the high incline road, does it have a problem with that or not ?
It does have the drive mode. You can always switch to sport mode if you need more power. In sport mode I would say the power is quite good. To me going up hill and over take cars is not an issue.
@@stubskututstuy Hybrid doesn't mean is better in overall NVH. Probably in engine department when the engine didn't kick in stage.(but that is not consider a fair comparison). Anyway HRV is a newer car. But both are not far away.
Thanks for the video. Really comfortable driving
The hybrid version is the bestselling here in Indonesia.
Comfort and petrol efficient.
Sheesh this hybrid is so fancy.
how do you feel about this hybrid over the V spec; an upgrade, a side-grade/alternative or a scam?

nice content bro
Thanks for the support bro
How is the cabin noise compared to HRV turbo? It seems like there is more wind/tire noise on this
Both are compareble. But as you said probably the HRV is a bit more muted compare to this.
I see. That's a bit sad though, since this is a hybrid vehicle. It's supposed to be more quiet than other ICE vehicle counterparts :(
