As a life-long Pikmin fan, Pikmin 4 looks like the Pikmin game 12-year old me would always dream about. There is so much they've already shown that I NEVER wouldve anticipated actually being in a Pikmin game. I seriously cant fucking wait 💖💖💖

Game looks absolutely 🔥 I played Pikmin 3 as my first, and was straight up BLOWN AWAY by how insanely fun it is. I wouldnt be surprised if Pikmin 4 surpasses TotK as my GotY. Not even kidding.
Never played a Pikmin game before. This looks interesting, but I'm definitely on the fence about getting it. I will be checking out the demo later this week. Maybe that will push me off the fence one way or another. Thanks for the video
I first discovered Pikmin when i was 6 back in 2005... Ive been hooked ever since and I am ecstatic for this new one! It feels more like Pikmin 2 (which is the current king in the series) with beautiful graphics and some great quality of life. I am so happy they brought back swarm and kept rush as an optional feature to aquire. Having Oatchi is shockingly fitting despite this being the fourth main title. I love how they created a dog to fit the world of Pikmin by giving him 2 legs (like bulborbs and other enemies). I could go on and on. But im gonna end this by saying that the Pikmin series is a one of a kind and I hope this series gets more notice, it's a great puzzle solving game that I feel all ages can enjoy.
PSA: remember you can skip all cutscenes and dialogue with + It can be easy to miss and its verrrry important for people who are impatient and dont want to sit though the cutscenes again
Never played Pikmin, and I’m regretting it. Nonetheless this is a MUST BUY after playing the HUGE demo!! If you’re on the fence, play the demo and decide if you want it from there!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 so happy about this. Going to be a great game to play when wanting to relax
My son is going to have to fight me for the Switch now that Pikmin 4 has arrived. I have played all the Pikmin games going back to GameCube in the 90’s. Best franchise ever! My son is playing the new Zelda game , he’s going to hate me , but hoping he likes P4
I enjoyed the second one because there was no time limit to get everything, I just don’t like the fact you have so many in game days to collect everything you need or it’s basically game over. I like spending the day just building up my pikmins and figuring out what I want to do next without worrying about a game over screen because I’ve run out of days and have to start over.
Preying this game is gonna be closer to Pikmin 2 it seems its core is closer too 2 with the treasures and caves being important again. That and them creating the rewind feature might hint they are bringing the challenges gameplay bqck and the rewind is for more casual players so they can keep retrying without having to start over.

RTS is the LAST classification I would use to describe Pikmin. not sure where y'all got this from. Puzzle/Platformer? Tinykin was based off Pikmin, that's not RTS.
You're strategizing in real-time. Hence, RTS. Just because it doesn't neatly fit into the predetermined box you've constructed in your mind doesn't mean it's not a real time strategy game.
Yeah, it is pretty similar to most RTS games I've seen, with you controlling a lot of troops in real time using strategies to finish it in a time frame.
It would be awesome if he could work out a deal with Sega themselves to port the game to consoles and sell it on their stores. I'm sure they wouldn't allow the game to be on those stores otherwise, but whatever it would take... I'd buy it on my Switch and Xbox!
I don't think it'll be required in order to understand Pikmin 4's gameplay/story, but I'd highly recommend them anyway as they're all good games anyway and it'll help you get immersed in the world a bit more. Pikmin 3 is definitely the easiest so it's good for people starting out, but 1 + 2 are still both very fun!
Yeah don't think you have to. My introduction was pikmin 3 and I did go back to 1 and 2 but they definitely felt clunkier than 3 and I'd wager 4 will be even more accessible. I don't think there's any massive lore that u need to be caught up on try 4 and if u like it go back and try the rest. Pikmin as a series needs the love

Don't like the camera angle. That is my only complaint, and probably why I'm not gonna play it.

There is no real co op. Only thing you can do as 2nd player is throw pebbles. Very disappointing
