The all new Shadow Systems CR920XP is here and its a 10/10! How does it shoot? Well I won't spoil it for you, watch the review. The CR920XP may just be the best shooting micro compact carry gun on the market and it may shoot better than the Sig X Macro, Smith and Wesson Shield Carry Comp and the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro Comp.
The CR920XP is a compact carry gun with removable compensator, 3.7 inch barrel, 15 round capacity, night fision night sights, optics cut for all the popular options, elite model with aggressive slide serrations, lightening cuts and sandpaper like grip texture. No, it's not a Glock 48 or 43x MOS clone and Glock does not make one single pistol like this! The design is all new.
It shoots great, is reliable, recoilless, EDC capable and my gun with the Streamlight TLR7A Sub, Holosun EPS Carry red dot is my new carry gun. EDC has never been better and you won't find a better shooting gun in its size. It's at a price point that is competitive and in line with the others on the market.

Took mine to the range for the first time and had the same experience, first mag was all stove pipes then ran flawlessly for 300 rounds. Feels like shooting a full size gun in a slim light package. Definitely going to replace my 43x as my daily carry.
Yes it does and it’s going to replace and has replaced my CR920X
I don’t get it. Please explain to me the craze behind this sized pistol. I’m no expert but when I think of a carry pistol I’m thinking something that’s small enough to be comfortable to carry all day. It seems like the most popular pistols for carry now are basically sub-compacts that have been made basically the size of a full sized pistol. Why even make subcompacts anymore if all of them are the size of a Glock 19or17 now? Just produce full sized guns with skinny frames.
@dadrionrichardson530 well that’s what they are. Compact guns with a slim frame. This gun is lengths wise the same as a G19 but much slimmer, lighter and shoots flatter.
@@dadrionrichardson530bingo. Like watching all the P365 guys go from saying the original is perfect, then replace it with the next 365 iteration that comes out, and now they’re back to a slim full size gun again.
It’s like everyone got bored with their G19 and has gone on a 5 year mission of buying guns to return where they started
I had the same issues. First 3 mags mostly stovepipes then cleared up on the 4th. Haven’t had any issues since - currently at about 300 rounds.
I did bench it and the sights are off. Consistently high at 10 yards with the irons. I wonder if anyone else had this experience. Installing an optic this week and hoping to dial it in.
I’ve been waiting for a gun like you to come into my life. Thanks for another solid review 👊🏻🇺🇸
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
This is the review I’ve been waiting for. Will definitely be my next carry
Awesome!
Great one brother ! I’m actually working on getting one !
Thank you! Enjoy it!
do you shoot sig?
Do I? More than the majority of people! I also carried Sig pistols for just over 11 years as a state trooper!
Please make a MR920P vs. CR920XP vs. M&P carry comp video 🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼
That’s not really a good overall representation due to the size differences
@@HuntFishShootChannel The M&P Carry Comp with the polymer frame is. The metal version is def full size.
That carry comp with the polymer frame is larger in every dimension, like an MR920P. Now if you were to compare the Shield Carry Comp, that’s similar
@@HuntFishShootChannel You are absolutely correct. And the CR920XP is bigger in every dimension than the Shield Plus Carry Comp. Competitor's competing models are rarely going to be exact. You can always do a comparison of the CR920XP against both since it is pretty much in the middle dimensionally.
We make our videos based off search topics, generally speaking or things we want to shoot!
I have heard other people say if you dry fire Shadow Systems guns a lot when they are brand new before you shoot them you won’t have any issues.
Maybe that’s it for me, I didn’t dry fire this one at all for the video.
Just took mine too the range ! Fired spear gold dots +p for the first mag no issues then shot mag tech steel case 115gr and had jam failure to extract or stove pipes or double feeds literally almost every round but the manufacturer literally says there is a break in period so I followed through I had to strip the magazine many times but I ran that thing non stop for 300 rounds couldn’t even touch the slide I literally dunked it in a pond too cool it off but the last 50 rounds zero issues and shoots super flat and very nice ! Once the gun is broken it the gun shoots really good it was worth the frustration for the first 200 rounds one magazine locks back and the other doesn’t no biggie I’ll continue to beat this things ass to make sure it’s reliable ! But it does shoot good but I did also get a lot of slide bite unfortunately but loosened my grip up and lowered it down some and then no issues
Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn’t recommend any steel case pistol ammo for what it’s worth in any pistol. Steel case pistol ammo is often out of spec and has poor tolerances which lead to issues like this. Some times the 1-2 bucks you save per box isn’t worth it.
Glad to hear it’s running good now! Love mine!
Can't wait for my wife to buy me one!
Hopefully you won’t have to wait long!
Shadow came out to NAAGA National Summit a few backs back in Dallas. They let me shoot this gun. I was sold. They also told me there will be extended 18rnd mags by EOY
Awesome! Gonna need that!
Great review. I picked up a CR920XP as well. It burned through the 124 and 147 grain FMJ and Federal HST without issue. Out of the box, I noticed it had a much heavier spring. Having also owned and sold the G43x & G48, there is no comparison to the CR920XP.
Additionally, I did a size comparison between the CR920XP and MR920XP. There's a noticeable difference in the width, length, and weight when considering IWB carry options. Shadow Systems has a home run with this one.
You are right no comparison! this thing carries so well and shoots perfectly
Glad to hear you had no issues with 147gr as I heard someone complain about theirs being picky, I typically run 135/147 but might switch to 124 +p for this gun
That will be my Christmas present to myself.
Great idea!
Now that’s a shadow System pistol I can get behind and spend the money for concealed carry with a comp! Plus their money back guarantee if you are involved in a self defense shooting and don’t get your pistol back they will give you another pistol!
Absolutely!
Are you a promotion bot?
@@920WASHBURN I don’t even know what that means? And don’t really care either!
@@ronniewarren7354 I didn't know if you were a real person or a bot. Thays all
This is the combo I needed to see the new crxp with eps.
You been really Killing it lately 👌
Thank you! Much appreciated 🫡
Did you need any adapter, spacer, different plate to mount the eps optics or was it a clean fit?
The only time you need a special spacer for the EPS optic is on the full size guns, not the CR series.
get radian ramjet for p365 it smokes any shadow and smith any hellcat i know i own em all
🙌
Got mine in and put first 600 rounds through. 115, 124, 147s all different manufacturers. Ran like a champ. No issues what so ever. Didn’t lube it either. Just used what came from the factory. The mag dumps are so simple to control. This is a phenomenal pistol.
Hell yeah! It’s damn good indeed!
Okay okay. I’ve shit on shadow systems after my experience with a dr920. I think over $1k for their pistols is too much. But this? This pistol is the answer to the slimline 15rd capacity I’ve been looking for! And under $900! This is extremely intriguing. I don’t like sig, so the x macro is out. The new smith and Wesson shield carry comp doesn’t appeal to me. The hellcat pro I don’t like at all. THIS IS THE GUN IVE BEEN WAITING FOR. Thank you shadow systems for finally doing THIS size of compensated gun RIGHT. I hope it stands the test of time
Hell yeah! Give it a try and let us know your thoughts!
Any company with a break in period should include the ammo as well IMO
I agree especially at that price point. Ridiculous
Did you ask Glock, Sig, staccato, smith and Wesson, every single rifle manufacturer this for that? Because they all have break in periods? Or how about mossberg? Because they have one on their semi auto shotguns?
welp, you just outed yourself as the village idiot. everything mechanical has a break in period
I EDC my cr920p. Love it! Carry the speer gold dot short barrel 124gr +p
Hell yeah!
Which is flatter shooting in your opinion mr920p or cr920xp? I’m thinking of getting one for carry soon
MR920P for sure. But my CR920P is almost as good. The size difference is what does it for me
I have both the cr920xp and mr920p, bought both at the same time and took them to the range at the same time to shoot back to back. In short cr shoots nice and better than any subcompact I have shot, I carry a g43x and have shot p365s. Now to give my opinion you still hit the argument that the width of the mr920p gives it a better shooting experience in my opinion BUT if the mission is conceal-ability then the cr920xp is a great choice.
The MR920P definitely shoots flatter but I can tell you the CR920XP carries much easier and shoots like an MR920 or flatter. Not at P level but it’s pretty incredible. I started person carrying it immediately after shooting 600 rounds through it
Whatever they did with that comp to make it shoot that flat, Canik should have done w/ the new TTI Combat..
They made the ports too small, way too small.
That is definitely why. The smaller ports require no testing and do little to function. It’s why the XR920P and MR920P are not ammo picky vs the DR920P which is. They are big enough to be effective but not so big they effect reliability
What’s really impressive is how easy it is to remove the comp for cleaning on the CR920XP. Shadow tweaked the design vs my XRP. Now can remove quickly with my fingers vs the latter needing a table edge.
Great video! Besides the grip, what’s your thoughts on the comparison on CR920P vs CR920XP? I have the CR920P and CR920X and sometimes interchange the frames. It’s been the only two guns I have ever needed now for conceal carry. I do have a Hellcat pro comp and MR920 elite with a Radian comp, but they never see IWB time lol.
If you already have the CR920P and the X, I would just put that P slide on the X and call it a day!
I own two Shadow pistols. They have been as close to perfect ( for this type of pistol) as I could ask for.
Coming from 1911/2011 pistols, the trigger was abysmal to me. Training with the substandard striker design was a task that I managed. I shoot them well now.
My only complaint (trigger related) is that because of the Shadow designed extractor plunger after marker firing pin assemblies don't work unless you buy the pieces individually. I personally like Johnny Glock triggers ( to each his own) and the 4311 system doesn't completely fit into Shadow CR's because of the firing pin/extractor interface.
Until I can buy a designed, complete trigger system from JG for the CR, I'll have to stick with my crusty old 43x MOS.
Would I buy Trevor's new pistol if Johnny made a drop in 4311 trigger kit for it ?
Yes, I'd buy it today.
I appreciate the seemingly "non biased" review, good content as usual.
Thank you and much appreciated! What’s nice is how many options are out there. For instance, I love this pistol and carry it now but if this Macro build with the Radian Comp shoots better when I get to it, I’ll like it more!
I run the Apex triggers in both my SS guns MR/DR. They run like tops, and a night and day difference in every way.
Very nice. I'm looking forward to getting my XR920P
Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
@@HuntFishShootChannel Good evening, everyone
I’m gonna go ahead and order one from grab a gun. What ammo and optic for EDC do you recommend? Can the mag release be swapped?
Awesome and for ammo I recommend Hornady critical duty 135 grain and then optic I would recommend the Vortex Defender CCW or Holosun EPS Carry. I think you can swap the mag release but I haven’t ever done it or tried.
@@HuntFishShootChannel thanks for your reply. What ammo for break in period?
@TheDadPill we used Speer lawman 124 for this but have also use norma, cci, federal and Winchester. We generally use 124 or 115 for videos
I like Shadows but I like my Sig P365 AXG Legion a bit better so no need to chase this one down.
That is a very nice pistol indeed!
Damn Mike, this bad boy does look PERFECT TO CARRY!! got me thinking 🤔 bro… hey dude be well and stay safe on the streets..
For sure man! You too!

Happy to do it! Thanks for the support!
Aw yis! Been waiting to see what you think of it. my local places can't get it in yet, all on backorder, but man, I can't wait till mine shows up. Love my XR920P, and your review for it.
Thank you! The XR920P is a favorite of mine!
this looks sweet
🙌
My first shadow systems pistol was the CR920 and I bought the CR920XP at my local store. I prefer shadow systems over Glock but I know other people have different opinions.
For sure! Both are great options!
I have a CR920P slide on my CR920X frame. I don't have the full-length dust cover, but it fits in G48 holsters. Added a Johnny Glock trigger. It is not the best shooting subcompact that I have.
What's the shooting like compared to the vp9sk
Mine did the same thing with the first 6 mags. I installed a Glock 48 oem recoil spring and its been flawless since. The factory SS recoil spring just felt rough. It really is a flat shooter. Much more than I expected.
I agree, it is flatter than I expected as well!
I would be interested in a side by side test with the Canik TTI Combat since they're around the same price.
Yeah but they are no where near similar in any category
To be accurate, the failures were not all failures to extract; you had one failure to extract, one stovepipe, and one failure to feed.
Any type of failure is going to get the word around that this gun is unreliable. It's not fair, as SS does give a warning about a break-in period, but this is what happens: people see a short reel of a gun failing, and it turns into something bigger.
It seems SS could shoot five to ten rounds at the factory and avoid most failures, so fewer failures would be seen on social media. So why don't they? Is it the cost of the ammo or messing up the steps in their inspection, cleaning, and boxing process? I don't know.
A failure to extract is a stovepipe that’s what causes it and the failure to feed was caused by a failure to extract. But thanks for the input! The guns are very reliable and not any less reliable than any other guns we shoot on the channel. However if they happen during our review and break in we will mention it.
With all of the shadow systems pistols we own, which is all of them, only 3 had any sort of break in period types of malfunctions, but since, all of them are 100 percent reliable
I just picked up this pistol the eps carry did u use the same screws it came with or did u have to get special screws? Will a rmrcc fit on this platform thank you ur love watching ur videos btw!!!
Use the screws from shadow which they state in the manual to use with this optic. The RMRCC does not fit.
Great video man, are you carryin this now instead of your mr920p? Keep up the good work, im a big shadow systems fan myself
Yep I sure am! Carrying it right now!
Eh... My PSA Micro Dagger C1 has continued to run flawlessly outta the box.. flat shooting & about 200 less expensive with a 407k included 🤷🏼♂️ The shadow systems does look 🔥 tho
That is a very nice pistol for the money!
The new Shield Plus Carry Comp is def better. 250 bucks cheaper, better grip texture, better finish, better trigger, more concealable bc of different size mags, comes with 3 mags instead of 2, still optics ready, no failure point of attachment mechanism for compensator and long track record of amazing reliability with S&W.
Well to your point, the Shield Carry Comp is better compared to a CR920P which has the same size profile but better capacities and could take different mate sizes. Better finish and better grip only tells me you aren’t very familiar with shadow systems, it has a better optics cut by a very large margin, and finally how about overall performance? I can tell you, you would be surprised.
Nonetheless you are right, you get more mags with the S&W and a better trigger but the Shield Plus Carry Comp has no long track record of reliability, it came out two months ago, meanwhile the CR920P has been over for about a year and half. Please keep in mind both are good but to say one is DEFINITELY better based off what you said being only partially accurate and preferences amongst shooters, would be untrue. At the end of the day, objectively, they are equals.
I have a couple of pistols from them
Never had a Glock or a Sig that didn't run balls straight outta the box.
Fix it before you ship it.
I have but I have a much larger sample size. So it does happen regardless of what you have experienced in your couple pistols.
So are you saying this is better than the sw carry comp 2.0 metal frame? If you had to choose one?
Two completely different pistols with two
Completely different purposes
$800 for the X? The CR920x here in Georgia run about $550-$600
That is the msrp for the foundation series x
I might’ve messed up by subscribing. One of your videos had me sold on the MR920P, but after this vid I’m unsure again 😅
Thanks for the honest reviews and I’m glad I found your channel. I’m a Texan and I’m thrilled to now know about another Texas manufacturer. On that note have you heard about the budget AR manufacturer Radical Firearms out Stafford TX?
Hahhaha I can understand that! The reality is we didn’t know about this when we made that!
I do know of radical and their ARs, they are good for what they are as a lower end budget AR. Unfortunately with brands like that when put through the wringer they don’t usually perform as great as they do for a 100 round range trip.
shot mine at the range this past weekend…like to take it out again soon. I think I like to shoot the MR better. I prefer to edc carry the XP. I have maybe 300 rounds through it.
Awesome!
seems like this might be the perfect CCW pistol i've ever seen or handled. havent shot it yet. obviously get that break in period done and its damn perfect
@@mikemellon80 for sure!
Can you do a comparison between the cr920p and the cr920xp?
If we find the time that could happen
I absolutely love my CR920XP. Hilliker makes a holster for it!! Be here Monday.
Hell yeah! Love mine too! I have been carrying it since we filmed this over a week ago!
@@HuntFishShootChannel Hell yeah man! What holsters are you running? Also I’ve put 1000 rounds through mine with absolutely ZERO flaws! I attempted to put a Johnny Glocks 4311 trigger in it but it does not fit the frame. Maybe some sandpaper would do it but. For a EDC I would NOT suggest anything other than Stock. I was just experimenting. 😝
@TEXAN_SHADOW I use C and G or QVO Tactical are usually the go tos for me. I am
Using a Tenicor right now for the CR920XP!
Hilliker worked with SS directly to develop holsters for SS. I have one for my cr920p
@@Josh_Sklar that’s what I have now. Hillier with a DCC Monoblock
Man idk, I know this gun is Texas built but I’ve heard so many bad things.
Here’s what I can tell you, 99 % of the comments we see are positive with the same 1% of people who say they have issues over and over again. Outside of that, it’s up to you to choose what you feel comfortable with.
This is on my list for sure. I really like the MR920P but am liking the idea of a slimmer comped CCW. I’d be curious to see a side by side comparison of the MR and CR comped models.
I have also carried the Hellcat Pro a lot which I like, but have been considering the Pro with comp vs the CR920XP and it would be awesome to see the video as well. Thanks and keep them coming.
That video you reference for the comped micros is being filmed this weekend! But the xp shoots better!
I have a question and I can't find this on no other video what light compatibility
43X lights fit perfectly. The key and size is identical to was on the CR920x, G48 and 43x. TLR7A Sub
Great commercial! Lol. I’ve been wanting to try a shadow systems gun for a while now.
Hahhaha you should try one!
This gun is a 100 percent worth the money……this is the softest shooting carry pistol on the market. You’re getting a compensator for 100.00 more. Buy a Glock 48 and a radian afterburner and see what you end up spending vs this.
I own one……run 124 gr through it not 115 and you shouldn’t have any issues. I had zero issues. Have 600 rds through it.
The only con…….that slide release is extremely stiff to release and the price. It is expensive. The performance gains are extremely noticeable. But if you ever have to use it, that confiscation is goin to hurt.
The slide release works when it wants to. Other than that. Love this gun. Worth the purchase.
Couldn’t agree more! Did you know that Shadow Systems will replace your gun in the event you are involved in a shooting with it?
@@HuntFishShootChannel I am aware…. But depending on your state, that could be tricky. You will be considered guilty before innocent unless it’s clear cut. So l hope to never test that policy. I will grab my canik lol
Thank you for reviewing the CR920XP. I have it and it shoots amazing like you stated. Can't wait for the 18 round mags to come out. Waiting for your S&W shield comp vs CR920XP.
Shield Comp vs the CR920XP likely won’t happen for a while if at all due to some mismatches and difficulty getting one but it’s on the table for now!
Now the question is would you sell your G43X with a TRL 6 and tier1 for one of these!?
Yes I would but that’s because I know how much better it shoots. It’s a significant difference
How do you like it compared to the micro dagger C1? I’m between these two. PSA QC withstanding. Though if i went C1 route would just be the slide with Glock parts. Really leaning SS though. Can’t buy a Glock and deck it out for the price of a CR920xp. Does it fit non mos 48 holsters?
It will not fit in non MOS holsters but will fit in MOS holsters with a light. I think it’s much much better than the C1. In many ways but the most important, build quality.
@@HuntFishShootChannel Well I ordered one, am hoping it will fit my G48 Tier 1 holster
Been hoping to see one in a store. So far no luck. I will say that my other SS trigger started out at about 5.5#s and after a bunch of rounds it is leveled out at about 4.5#s. It is very smooth.
For sure! Hope you find one!
I've had my eye on Shadow Systems, just waiting until they go the gen 5 route and implement a right side slide stop.
I could see them doing that in the future!
@HuntFishShootChannel give them a nudge for me please 😉
Great content as always!
do they have a grip angle like a Glock or more like a 1911?
This is nearly identical to a G48, G43x
That pistol is making you smile like Rambo. I'm just joking around. People don't take me seriously
Hahahha love it!
Worst thing so far about mine is the slight slide bite I get. The beaver tail is a little shorter than the MR920
Yeah the smaller grip can lead to that. But if you shoot it enough that meat grooves out 😂
The fit and finish look super solid on these new variants i imagine those failures are just typical Shadow Systems break in. But awesome video always tune in when you post.
Thank you! I appreciate your continued support!
Which optic is that and what screws are you using to mount it?
EPS carry and whichever screws shadow supplied in the box for this optic!
Every SS I’ve shot comp’d or standard shoots softer than any Glock I’ve shot. People stop it. SS took the Glock platform to another level for the $$ you really get a great gun. They don’t exactly break the bank, try one b4 you dog it. Don’t go off 1 person’s bad experience because there’s PLENTY of success stories from SS.
If only people knew how many people don’t have issues with them vs those that do. The haters just like flocking to forums to bash them. It’s the same people too! Thanks for watching!
@@HuntFishShootChannel seriously, I hate to see a brand I’m a fan & supporter of get dragged when I’ve put so many of my friends onto them from range trips. Yessir thank you for the content! 🫡
I purchased a CR920 trigger for my PSA Dagger. I love it.
Great!
Does it take my leftover shield mags? Got rid of a G48, was planning on going to an MOS, but.... eh... and now this is on the market.
So seriously, can I get away with using my Shield mags as well as the Shadow mags?
No it does not but the shadow systems mags are 29 bucks and cheaper than shield mags

Interesting offering. I think I’ll stick with my FN Reflex with 15+1 for $569. Would like to get hands on the 920 XP to test it out since the Reflex is not comped like this one is. Great review.
They gonna upgrade the CR920P frame with a full length dust cover???
No plans for that from what I have heard
@@HuntFishShootChannel if you’ve got their ear, that may be something for them to consider 🤷♂️
@injuredoutdoorsman9011 hahah if I had their ear they would make a 2011 in Texas for 14-1500 bucks and it be as good as a Staccato but beat the brakes of a Prodigy. They would have comped models, carry models and all of the above! Haha
Think of how much money glocks r&d has saved
Saving it for what? To make a Gen 6, identical to Gen 3-5
@@HuntFishShootChannel that's my point. 40 years and nothing went to research and development.
Gun community has gotten wayyy to comfortable with the climbing price tags. All the reviews now talking about small edc guns being competitive or “great value” at $800-900.
Nevermind the 2011 crowd
Well you are losing sight of what you are looking at. If you want a 500 dollar EDC gun you can get one, but if you want one with optics cut, night sights, improved ergos and a comp, it’s gonna cost more. Options out there for everyone
I have the cr920p Elite as well as the cr920x Elite. I swapped the slides and that was a game changer. The cr920px (swapped slides) as I call it in my opinion looks way better then the xp model. I went from 13rd with the cr92p to 15rd after slide swap. The new xp is very blocky looking.
If you have that combo already, it’s the same overall concept for how it shoots. The difference is how it’s aesthetically finished.
That's a nice gun!
For sure!
I own a few, including the CR920, and have had break-in issues with each of them. The MR920 was more the cheap p-mags they used, but swapping out with the Glock 19 mags worked perfectly fine. The CR920 took a couple of mags before she broke in right. As with any SS pistol, the trigger is awful. Not sure why, but even after hundreds of rounds there's still better options.
I will say that SS hit a market that was untouched at the time and that was the kitchen sink in one so you won't have to mod. Well, that market has vanished. The S&W 2.0 Carry Metal Comp for example is simply outstanding, and sits at the same price point. Muzzle flip, trigger, and grip exceed the CR920XP IMHO. I'd like to see SS put out some metal versions, improve their triggers and up their game with the mags. While they check many, if not all the boxes one would ask for, I feel the quality can improve. To their credit, their customer service is outstanding and will make it right. The initial launch of the CR920 for example had barrel issues - nothing that was detrimental to function but more aesthetic, and replaced them all at no cost.
Although I think the Carry Comp Metal is a fantastic pistol and I really like it, it’s really not even a relatively close comparison. But I am happy to see other companies stepping up there game!
Im about to buy my first ccw. Im between this and the mr920 because of the similar footprint but im having a hard time weighing the pros and cons, especially with it being my only firearm.
Or even the regular cr920x since it's as small as a gun could get while still being comfortable in my hand
I would pick the CR920XP of those choices. It’s easy to conceal and the flattest shooting. You are not undergunned with its size and has good capacity
Mine ran flawless, holster should be here by next wknd 😁
Which did you get?

Alright Mike, hypothetically you have a budget of $1000 before any accessories, extra mags, ammo, optics, etc…It will be the sole pistol you own/carry/recreational shoot/deer lease gun. What’s your choice?
That’s easy, Shadow Systems MR920P. Although MSRP is higher, they are street price around that range.
For reference, I really didn’t need to think about it. The MR920P is the best shooting all around gun I have shot all year for the money. It can conceal well, be a gun fighting, duty pistol and still be a lot of fun to shoot recreationally. It takes cheap magazines and I haven’t found an ammo it won’t shoot. The new carry comp compact from smith and Wesson is good, but it’s not better. We did a comparison between the two and I only think the Smith and Wesson is a better choice to save a few bucks and it shoots very similar if you don’t already have one or the other. However if I had to pick one or the other, I’m taking the MR920P and twice on Sunday. I can’t tell you how many thousands of rounds we have on it. Every single shooting friend I have owns one because they shot mine.
If you could carry only one handgun for edc, would you carry this (CR920XP) or the Xmacro-comp?
I should make you wait until the comparison is filmed between the popular small compacts that are comped/ ported, but I am carrying the CR920XP right now and have the macro comp at home
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
Thank you!
Great looking gun and flat shooter. Does the new comp 2.0 shoot as good as that be or the mr920p? Thanks for great reviews and honesty. Have saved me and I’m sure others a lot of money.
No those two are a bit different due to their size in all dimensions. But it shoots very comparable to them while remaining considerably smaller!
I was waiting for this one. I hear so many mixed things. Really would like to see 1k rounds plus to see how it holds up.
If it’s anything like my other shadow systems guns it will be fine
@@HuntFishShootChannel just due to the magazines being brand new to the market, compared to the polymer Glock mags that have been proven over decades. No doubt the gun is built well. Thanks for the great content as always!
Understandable! Thank you, we appreciate it!
Really would love a comparison between xmacro polymer and cr920xp!
Nothing has replaced my 3 p365’s as top place in my heart and on my appendix. Best trigger reset, best quality, best all around for me. Cr920xp might be the next one if it continues to prove itself! Reliability comes before all.
@@nickn7857I can’t stand my 365XL/XMacro frame with a tactical trigger kit. First off it lightened up too much for safe EDC. Not happy how it feels slippery and jumpy when shooting. Compared to my CR920XP with over a thousand rounds now…. The shadow is my new EDC during the hot summer days.
Great video, Mike
Thank you David!
Great video/information as always!...... Q?...... what POV camera are you using on your cap?
That’s the Insta360 Go 3S
@@HuntFishShootChannel 👍🏾 Thx. Much appreciated 👊🏾
Just curious on your carry ammo. What makes you prefer the winchester ranger over a speer gold dot or federal hst?
I carried Winchester Ranger as a State Trooper and saw ballistics testing. The Ranger does very well for barriers and retention.
Those others are good too of course. Honestly pick a good brand like those or Hornady and they will work great!
How would you say it compares to mr920p recoil and accuracy wise ?
Really good, it’s close, accuracy wise it’s great. Better than me
It’s either you are foreal about the flat shooting, or you got the grip of death… lol looks so flat when you’re shooting it.
I can tell you I grip the shit out off all the pistols I shoot! But it is very soft and flat shooting. Most people don’t grip their pistol hard enough with both hands when they shoot
What holsters do the XP fit in?
It depends on if you want a light or not
@@HuntFishShootChannel light and rds
Henry holsters has one and from most of what I have read, there are many if you get the G48 MOS for tlr 7 sub
I’m confused, I just watched your video on the new 2024 S&W Performance Center M&P 2.0 Compact Carry Comp
Are you doing another video?
What are you confused by? There is a shield carry comp, which if we can find one it will be reviewed!
@@HuntFishShootChannel
I’m a novice looking for my first carry pistol. I was looking at one of your past videos and just realized that you were comparing the Shadow Systems MR920P to the S&W M&P Carry Comp Polymer frame. I guess I thought I had seen you do a video on S&W’s new Performance Center Compact Carry.
I probably got that name wrong. It’s not easy keeping track of the new 2024 carry options. All these names are new to me. I’m going to start keeping some notes on the reviews.
just got mine last week, i had two failure to feed on the 2nd round but after that hasn't been any problems with me. i shoot the original cr920 a lot so i can feel a difference in the felt recoil there, but i really feel the difference when shooting single handed. first hundred rounds on range dynamics 115 and next 250 rounds on ammo inc 124.
I have a cr920 from 2022 and that trigger has a rolling break that i like. i have 1500 rounds through this one.
i have a wpcr920 from a few months ago that has a really clean break thats pretty much at the wall. around 300 rounds
and now the crxp with one that has the slight mush/2nd stage like yours. i have 350 through this one.
i dont know if youve experienced something like that with the others.
Most striker fired triggers are like a two stage trigger, with the exception of Walther or Canik. I can’t say this trigger is any different than the many Glock triggers or shadow I have used but I think it’s good and easy to shoot!
@@HuntFishShootChannel honestly I like the two stage that the shadow systems has. Thanks for responding!
@kenjihiten4865 same here!
Hellcat Pro Comp comes in under $700
We use MSRP values because the street prices vary so much. but you are right, they usually are!
I have and love my mr920p been carrying my p365 axg legion love that as well but this new cr920xp is definitely on my radar for my next piece sheesh
Hell yeah! How do you like your 365 AXG legion?!
@@HuntFishShootChannel Man let me tell you the axg is just quality absolutely love it you don’t have one?
@@HuntFishShootChannel the axg feels soo good in the hands and I just put a tactical development gas pedal thumb ledge thingy and it’s super comfortable
No because I think it’s overpriced haha. Hell I have the 320 AXG Legion and I think it’s over priced too! yet I do love it. Maybe we need to get a 365 AXG Legion!
@@HuntFishShootChannel haha definitely pricey but worth it definitely get one and do a versus video or just the 365 legion that would be 🔥🔥
Would love to edc that pistol but California 😒
Unfortunately
Now the only question is if the comp version is the same length as my G48, but if it fits into that holster.
It is the same length and from it appears some brand holsters work and others do not
@@HuntFishShootChannel the area near the muzzle would be the difference since the shadow is more square like since it’s a comp
