Im impressed Dane can do handstand push ups. I been preaching them for ages to ppl, long with other bw exercises, but always got the "but those are hard!" From ppl...
Awesome stuff. I now train in a gym with corporate people who … are not ex athletes and so when I do the Z press I get a lot of annoying comments. I’m old now but still train like I did in college for football. Just maintaining flexibility and all that.
I’m 42 and weight 173 I’ve been benching well over 3 plates since 17. If you want a big bench focus on your back. A big chest doesn’t mean a big bench. Do negatives, pause reps and learn to use your leg drive.
Bench goes up doing Diamond push ups mainly to burn everyday.. legs up also to make it harder.. once you can do 50 diamond push ups straight... that's when you will be ready to lift your heaviest bench
This handstand press is not ideal for strength or hypertrophy. It has some value, particularly if you can get full range of motion using the bars like you were, but you are fairly limited by body weight and definitely by instability. Movements like the OHP or push press that can be loaded incrementally to utilize progressive overload and maximize force production with a stable platform.
Stick to the basics like benching 3x a week, weighted dips and maybe add pin press for that lock out. And even the basic one like push ups probably. Make them harder with weight or slow tempo
@dy120481 I mean it could be any path just trying to sketch impartial analysis any path it might work. Quork just knew heck lot more than us it turned out. Mst

overhead pressing work does not translate to bench press, however the inverse is true

I just got 250lbs at 159 bw 315 coming soon baby
I made my way to 155 x 3 by just doing overhead press, and lateral raise. I probably need more than just that.
Still can’t get handstand push-ups but I’ll try
I can hit 3 plates but I'm a big guy and should be much higher. Will give this a shot!!!
what are your thoughts on doing shoulder press using a cable machine? I absolutely love it.
Thank you verymuch.

U got dumbell bench but thats more for chest growth than getting stronger at the bench press as it can target stabilisers in the chest
Geodesic is simultaneously the path of least resistance and movement.
Alan Thrall exposed this myrh. Straight line is ridiculous.
Huh?
