Working your triceps during a superset will activate some additional strength. Get a barbell at 60-80 lbs and curl 10-12 reps, triceps press 10-12 reps and do 3 back to back sets. Do that 3x and allow yourself to rest, maybe 3-5 days. Go back to the bench and watch what happens!

Maybe work up to 7 reps on 275 then start working at 295 Til you are comfortable and can get 4-6 and keep creeping up slowly with 2.5 plates. 315 won’t feel as heavy. Your tendons aren’t used to the weight either so it’s good to creep up slowly

@@BigBenchas What I meant to say is that if you weigh half of that or even less, it means at least twice bodyweight. On the other hand, if you weigh 250 lbs, 315 lbs isin't as big an accomplishment. Depends which population we might be speaking to and yes, the type of lifter. Regardless benching 315 might be as overwhelmingly enjoyable and take just as much work for a lifter as someone who is going for 500. All depends!
@@BigBenchas What I meant to say is that if you weigh half of that or even less, it means at least twice bodyweight. On the other hand, if you weigh 250 lbs, 315 lbs isin't as big an accomplishment. All depends on the size. For myself, it would certainly be a milestone. Got to take care of my right shoulder first though.
Strength is strength, bodyweight is irrelevant unless you're competing in a competition with weight classes.
hell hath no fury like a puppet scorned This is absolute bullshit...every world record progressively increases with the lifters body weight. This isn’t my opinion it’s a fact. Also body weight generally equates to heavier bench. Unless your an average lifter working out at 24 hour fitness....
This one size fits all bench mark is about the dumbest PR to to ever consider
Try going for 1.5 X your body weight to set yourself a realistic goal . I’m 235 and a 315 bench isn’t as impressive as a 150 pound man pressing 225 .
T-bomb, swear by it, went from 315 to 365 less than a year
Is that a steroid or a powerlifting program?
There is no such like how to increase ur bench. U just push ur ass off till it go up.
My max is 225
I'm never getting 315 because I weigh lean 153 aged 54. My aim is 225.
How to bench 315. Weight as much as this guy in the video. 300lbs.
