I’m Southeast Asian I have a Peruvian coworker, one day we had pot luck, dude brought fried rice it look exactly like what my mom would make. He told me there’s a Chinese community their and it influenced some of their cooking, I never knew it till it met him, and I started researching it. And if you look at the Hmong traditional clothing it’s colorful and similar to some of the Peruvian traditional clothing.

@@B0RNfree yeah, peruvian cousine has a lot of influence from China. In fact, it is very common for us to have chinese food on Sunday. What your friend made is called arroz chaufa. If you want the recipe, i can gladly give it to you.

🇺🇸 Sunisa Lee, beautiful phoenix, powerfully and gracefully raised and inspired everyone.
Sunisa Lee is a great leader who protected her team and lifted up her team, family, community, this beautiful Nation USA and the world. I admire how she frequently says, "We won!" She gives peace, courage and so much more greatness, only time will tell, to all who are touched and inspired by her, her story and/or shared her experiences whether or not they look like her.
The Hmong calls themselves a family more than an ethnic group.
It has been said that Hmong believes we are all descendants of the Universe and equal.
She received the equivalent of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Today marks a new era for the Hmong.
    Greatness and great fortune forevermore!
God bless American and the worldwide Hmong Family!

First of all, I am very happy for Sunisa and very proud of her. I am very Americanized myself and I prefer to speak in English if I was making a speech. I also can’t stand those Hmong Lao and Hmong Vietnamese always commenting about Sunisa is not Hmong because she’s not speaking Hmong or she can’t speak Hmong. Those people are beyond pathetic.
Having said that, I was a bit disappointed that she she didn’t even say a single word in Hmong even if it’s just a simple “Nyob zoo”. I mean even the white Governor says a few words in Hmong.

I’d say you delete yourself. This is a super big deal for the Hmong community, not just in St. Paul, but all around the world, and nothing would make our elderly more happier than to hear Sunisa say a few sentences in Hmong on such a grand stage. I’m pretty sure even among the non-Hmong people, there are probably some that would love to hear Sunisa say a few sentences in Hmong as well.
