Setting a boundary can mean cutting someone out of your life. You can cut anyone out of your life. It can be a family member, a friend or whoever.
You are so right! You should not call them out because they love to argue, deny, gaslight, blame, accuse & turn the whole thing around on you & use things you opened up to them about as ammunition. Better to just walk away- in peace. There is no peace with them. And no end to the arguments.

When someone disrespects you, slanders your name, tells lies in an effort to manipulate others. Never feel like you have to explain yourself for cutting the toxic person or people out of your life. I had to do it. This is necessary so you keep your boundaries. Someone who behaves like I mentioned is not company that I value. Self respect is a value. My dad when he was alive would say sh-t on me once, shame on you. Sh-t on me twice shame on me. Their behaviors will repeat. Best to walk away and you do not have to explain yourself. 🤔❤️🇺🇸

I could never quite catch them on the active doing slander but became obvious what I compared notes of what they said and what my parents said at the same time even though I lived 2300 miles away from my parents for decades. I didn't want to cut them off - because I thought they would become better people - even towards me. So all these years I thought it could/would heal it only just got worse. I now feel lost because they are all the same- they use the same excuses which I debunked - they have cut me off thinking I would just disappear- NO CHANCE. I have a question bro. Ive allways been the type that never wanted much out of life other than being happy. I'm usually happy even when I'm at a low level in life. I'm not super motivated but I'm content & I dont judge & am happy for ppl that surpass me & get what they want. I simply dont care about anyone surpassing me aslong as I have what I need to sustain myself & Nobody holding me back..i believe ppls success is non of my business.
Whats crazy is that throughout life my "friends" & aquaintances have hated on me & begrudged me for no reason. Maybe they saw my contentment as weakness or whatever but I think they were mad that I was rich in happiness with nothing to prove & they were miserable striving for status & money.
What do you think the reason that even though they surpassed me in status, money, strength & sometimes looks, they still where jeasulous of my humble job & possessions?...could it be that narcs crave to be comfortable & content but can never achieve it? Mother is one of these. Very hard to cut her off as she's got a web of people at her fingertips."Don't waste your time and call them out because they will bullshit their way out of it". Yep - that's my mother and the toughest part is her mob of people behind her. I relayed all the conversations I'd have with her and realized "There is no 'winning' with this women - she will talk her way out of everything". Yep, so not worth the energy - you just leave these people behind.

Just glad that my support team had my back to help me sort this situation out. I agree. My brother fell for a turdlike female in his teens, and his entire life has been a horror show of tolerating abuse, even his kids don't speak to him. She had the religious crap down, his job was to turn the other cheek until he spun. As a kid he was an abusive jerk sometimes and ok other times, but I never regretted letting the relationship go. She was slapping my sister across the face before he even married her. She was always so full of drama.

My high school boyfriend pursued me with a vengeance, even though I wasn't the prettiest girl in high school. He did that cause he knew I was on his level. He was smarter than me. I dumped him for a guy that was above me who stupidly asked me to marry him. I never should have been with him. No, I belonged with my high school boyfriend.
